Throughout the whole year and around the whole world there are many holy festivals from different beliefs. Any holy festival speaks about love, prayers and God. Not any festival or religion speaks negative. Holy festivals unite. For the spiritual practitioner or the spiritual seeker, it does not matter in which form or in which belief one thinks of God. The Shivarati festival is for all. All festivals reminds us to acknowledge the brotherhood throughout the whole world and to respect the beauty of the nature. The most merciful God who loves us unconditionally is Lord Shiva. He is the consciousness, the light, the liberation, the beauty and the truth. Shiva loves all, liberates all our sins and balances everything. Lord Shiva is celebrated every year with the Shivaratri festival which means: The great night of Shiva.
Meditation comes from Lord Shiva
15:15 - 15:31 (16 min)
Recorded on
Satsang with Swamiji from Holy mountain Annapurna, the Himalayas. Meditation is one of the best and prime techniques of Yoga. All the saints from the Himalayas and different parts of the world are meditating. Meditation means to research oneself. Living in this modern civilization we are very much disturbed from the outer worldly activities, problems and sound pollution. Humans are full of the stress. Many cannot sleep, many are full of the fear and many are struggling to find the peace. Shiva or Guru Tattva is the highest Tattva in this world. Tattva is an element or aspect of reality, conceived as an aspect of deity. In the darkness of the Universe the light, the Shiva Jyoti, the auspicious flame appeared. This light we have to achieve and the technique for that is the meditation which Lord Shiva has brought to mankind.

Satsang from Vienna. In the Hindu tradition it is believed that the whole universe is being created by two fundamental forces which are permanently in a perfect, indestructible union. These forces or universal aspects are known as Shiva and Shakti. Shiva is the symbol of the masculine, passive, transcendent, eternal principle and Shakti as the opposite symbol of the feminine, active, immanent and temporal principle and both are existing within each and every being as the inner self. The spiritual and religious texts of the puranas are usually written in the form of stories. Out of this, Swamiji tells popular episodes and stories of Shiva and Shakti.

One cannot exist without the other. Sukha is the sweetness of life, bliss, comfort, pleasure and Dukkha is suffering, frustration and discomfort. We are commuting between two extremes but what is the cause of suffering and what is the cause of happiness? Most of it is connected to our feelings, emotions and thoughts. This is the key to our experiences. Sukha and Dukkha are two ways. Positive thoughts towards everyone and satsang is that way which opens the door to the divine consciousness. It brings a deeper, more lasting happiness and purer wellbeing into our life.

It is describing the meaning of the - Om Namah Shivaya - mantra. Through this mantra it is possible to realize God. Puja or worship is a religious ritual performed by Hindus as an offering to various deities. It is an instant spiritual experience. We humans are born with a spiritual aim. We came to this life with certain aim for spiritual progress. We do not need to search outside. We have everything within, but we cannot see it because of our ignorance. Therefore we need guidance on the spiritual path. Prayers and Pujas are a great help, they are a medium on our way to God.
