Maha-Shivaratri Satsang in Vienna (1/2)

A Śivarātri gathering unites a global community in devotion and practice. The event includes traditional ceremonies, performances, and teachings centered on Lord Śiva. The Śivamandir society works to preserve Sanātana Dharma through study and practice. A key teaching is the purification of the inner instruments and impurities through mantra. The Mahāmṛtyuñjaya and Pañcākṣara mantras purify the mind, intellect, consciousness, ego, impurities, disturbances, and the veil of ignorance. Humility is essential for true wisdom, as illustrated by the story of the ant and the elephant. A pure heart contains the divine light; every heart is holy because God resides within. The story of a hunter on Śivarātri demonstrates how even unintended worship and compassion lead to divine grace. Keeping one's promise and maintaining faith are paramount.

"Every heart is holy. Why? Because in that heart is the light of God."

"As humble you are, that great you are."

Filming location: Vienna, Austria

Part 1: A Śivarātri Gathering in Vienna We also have our sisters and brothers around the whole world who are with us via webcasting on this Śivarātri Satsaṅg. Webcasting is fine for me. We are here in Vienna, in the 21st district. It is near the Danube. We have very, very cold weather here. We have plus one degree, minus one degree, but inside it is very nice and warm. Many, many friends, brothers and sisters came from around Austria, from the Czech Republic, from Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hamburg. Many, many friends are coming, and we have here our guru lineage. We have our Śiva liṅga, where everybody can have Bhoja and ceremony and starsham, and everybody is welcome to do also with own Śiva Liṅgam, Bhūta and Bhūton ceremony. Thank you for listening and being with us via webcasting. Thank you. Śrī Śrī Svāmī Maheśvarānanda Viśvaguru Devā Kīche, Śrī Śrī Svāmī Kīche, very soon. And also we have our program then, then Bhakti Devī with her students will have a performance. We are also looking forward to Sitaji and Subramaniam giving us a performance and singing our Shiva Mantra. And for us, our Lord Shiva is Sri Devapurījī, the highest consciousness incarnation of Lord Shiva. And there is a beautiful bhajan, a prayer from Sri Vaidya Singh. It said, "Manareyarati, I pray to thee, O Lord, I pray to thee, Sri Devapurījī." And he is describing how he looks like. We have the statue here, the picture from Lord Śiva. He has his hair bound. On his hair is coming the Gaṅgā river, and in his hair is the half moon. His body is covered with holy ash, which means that all the karmas are burned. But this Kamechī will explain what Lord Śiva means and what Śivarātri means. For us, our Gurudev is everything. He is our mother and father. He is our knowledge. He’s our everything, he’s our friends, like in this mantra. To get lunch here, after the second door, there is a restaurant where we can get spaghetti with tomato sauce, and the owner of the restaurant will be much helped if we know beforehand how many will come tomorrow for lunch. So you have the possibility today to go out where the stand is, where you get the food today, and you can buy a card. Thank you. You can buy the card for tomorrow’s lunch. It will cost 5.30 euros. Or you can put your hands up if we need it, so we can know approximately. Okay, thank you. And who knows? It’s sure that he will be here today, tomorrow. Please go to the shop and tell them. Thank you very much. She is waiting to give us a performance in Indian classical Bharatanatyam. It is our pure productivity. Teaching in Vienna, the Indian dance. She has her own Indian dance school, a classical school. And many of her students, she is teaching already many years, and they are trying to be perfect like she is. And then we invite our dear Bhaktī Devī to come to the stage. Meanwhile, teaching comes. We have here outside some paper where you can read what our Śivamandir is doing, what our Śivamandir Austria is trying to get. We have the study, practice, and teaching of Sanātana Dharma, the Vedic culture, Indian dance, yoga, and the traditional Indian tradition. We try to keep up and to continue. We see when we go to India now that the Indian culture is slowly, slowly losing and going down, especially in the cities. And Shivamandir Society here in Austria, and also in Hungary we have, I think in Slovenia you have also, and in Croatia, he is trying to keep his culture up and to help the Sanātana Dharma to have this day and life relationship with him. So you are welcome to take this with you, to visit, to give a donation, or to become a member of this Hindu society, the Śiva Mantra Hindu Society. We try to collect some donations to have our own Śiva temple where we can practice these old traditional things with the Sanātana. So, this Bhakti Devakī, we invite you to come in front of the stage, wait a little bit, the girls are getting ready. It’s not so easy because they have many, many things to prepare. They have their own traditional press. This is a special press. It is how to make the palms, how to make the foot soles, how to make the fingers, and how to press the hair, the eyes, the mimic, the gestic, and the mudrās. This is very important. In this Indian traditional Bharatanatyam, classical Indian dance. We have also many, many children who came here today to our festival, our Śiva Rātri festival. Many, many were traveling far to come here to be with us in this holy festival, in this holy ceremony about the Śiva Rātri this day. Many are still coming, going, and visiting. We also have one school class here. The school teacher, one of our students, brought her class here. The children see something alive, some real Śiva, some real master. Because in the school they learn the yoga practice, the āsanas, but here they see something original, and they brought the whole school class here. And we have many who come from only Darśan, who come from the street in Thailand, they are highly experienced. This is the chairman here from our yoga classes here in the surrounding. They come here, sit a little bit, and then they go. And also, tomorrow we have the same program from 9 o’clock on. It’s open. You can come, sit, meditate, do your good work, and go. Thank you very much. Now I hear some sound. Oh, your birthday is here. Is your birthday, if you could be so kind, and you haven’t gone? Okay, don’t worry. Can’t you just wait a minute? Om Śānti, Śānti,... Deveśvar Mahādev, Sadā Śiv Bhagavān, Akī, Akī,... Akī. God bless you! God bless you!... As a reminder, 23 years ago was the first time we had the satsaṅg in the basement. I know. Our first dance is called Mūjikā Vahana, a dance that is a short dance to praise God Gaṇeśa. Gaṇeśa is a God who unites all beings and resolves problems. To explain this, this is only a small advantage. Gaṇeśa rides on a horse, his hands are always ready to fly. He has elephants that they call mounts, as those whom they ride. All problems are solved. For him, from Santa, Nicole, Catherine, Catalina, Lily, Christiane, and Anne. The event, students, the performance, it’s really very nice to see, and it’s so beautiful and very, very hard to realize how to do like this and to feel like this. From film, from Śivarātri. We will hear all about samādhi, which means Śivarātri. But here the Mahāśivapurāṇa is a very nice work by Indian artists, very famous artists, very nicely shown for Śivarātri and what Śivarātri means. And it’s the night of Lord Śiva, on the dark moon of the months February and March. And this is Śivarātri, it’s two days now when we are celebrating here. We are really lucky that we can be together on this special occasion of Śivarātri. Meanwhile, in our video, he is preparing the, yes, meanwhile we can, we will, I will hand over the... Pranām, dear Gurudev, dear brothers and sisters, I’m very glad that I’m here this night, at least on this program and on this Chima Night here in Vienna. And I think that we are all very happy that you came, and that we are here in such a large number. And let us be together, very happy with our birthday, our brothers, during the internet around the world. I wish everyone a truly divine Śivarātri, with all your wishes. Only this one, which is good for your health. While sitting, you can also repeat the mantra mentally, "Om Namah Śivāya," if you like, all your life. This is a Mahāśivapurāṇa, an episode about Śivarātri, and one of the beautiful, beautiful films done. I thought today there is an episode about Śivarātri, what it means and how it began. I think it will be clear that it is in Hindi language but written down in English. I hope you will understand the subtitles. Thank you. [The following is a transcript of the film's dialogue:] I didn’t get anything. I didn’t touch any animal. I was wandering all day. I didn’t touch any animal. I am hungry. The children are hungry. What will happen now? I am also hungry all day. Then the hungry will die. Do something. I will see. I will go. I will take something and come back. What happens? Why do I stop? Why did you go? When you have come here, I will not leave you. I know that killing animals is the duty of a hunter. I do not want to stop you from your duty. That is why I have come to tell you that you have done me a great favor by not killing me at this time. I had come to find my husband and my children. Let me meet them once, and then I will return to you myself. No, I will not let my wife and my children go away after seeing my wife and my children. Hirni, do you promise that you will meet your husband and your children and come back? Believe me, I will meet them and come back soon. Then go. Go quickly. Don’t stand in front of me for too long. Really? You are very kind, Viraj. What have you done, Gurudhru? You have left behind the one who came into your hand. Now sit and wait for him. I don’t know if she will come back or not. Will she come or not? Did you lie? God is so kind. If one goes, the other is sent. Now I will finish this and complete my work. Akhita, have mercy. I came here to find my sister. God bless you. I will definitely return to Akhetar. Just let me meet my sister once. Then go. Come back soon. If you meet your sister, tell her to keep her promise. If she has given her promise, then she will definitely follow it. I will bring her along. Wait, Hirṇīyā. How long will I wait for her? This is too much. It seems that both Hirṇiyā have made me a fool in the name of mercy. There, my wife and children are hungry. I don’t know if those two deer will come back or not. How long will I watch these deer? No, no, Archie Tuck. Don’t kill me. I have come to find my deer. Our little children are waiting for it. Have mercy on me. Have mercy. You too want to say that I let you go? That you will come back after meeting the deer and the children? Yes, yes. I promise you, Archie Tuck. I will come back after meeting the deer and the children. Then you kill me. I will definitely come. Your sister-in-law had come here. Had she come here? Did you... No, no. I left her after she had left. You are a great architect. Her sister-in-law had also come here after her. Her sister-in-law had also come here? Yes. I also let her go to meet her sister. They both have promised me that they will come back. I also promise you. I will come back after meeting them and the children. No, no. You have made me a fool. God bless you. Son, father hasn’t slept yet. He hasn’t come yet. Come and see. I am here, Bannerī. Look here. Here... Did you think I became the hunger of an animal? What were you doing here all night? I was watching their part. Whose part were you watching? They recognized us. I had not seen you before, Lord, but I recognized you as God Śiva Śaṅkara. Guru Drupada. On the holy day of Mahāśivarātri, you worshipped me unknowingly in the form of holy letters. Yes. As a result of that worship, there was compassion in your heart for the innocent deer and deer. You believed in their words and gave them life. We are happy with you. Ask for whatever you want. I don’t want anything, Lord. I saw you, and I got everything. Listening to your simple words, we are very happy, Gurudru. Guru-dru, ask whatever you want. If you want to give, then get me rid of this sinful deed of Akhet. Give me a place at your feet, Lord. Guru, you have become a rightful owner of salvation through your kindness and good deeds. Your wife and children have also given you the support of patience. And they too will go to Śivaloka with you. You will be free from all worldly bondage. I am blessed, Lord. We have come, Lord. Now you do your work. No, no. Now I will not kill you. I will not kill you. I will not kill you. Jai Śiv Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar!... Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar!... Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! Jai Śiva Śaṅkar! You all will return to your original form again. God, the grace of fire is supreme. Guru Dhruv, you came out on Mahāśivarātri for Ākhyāta. Because of being hungry the whole day, I was able to get up easily from you. Waking up in the waiting of the deer, you have also attained the merit of waking up at night. Not only that, unknowingly, my Trikāl Pūjā was also completed from the stone that fell from your hands. Even though you were in front of the animals, you have showered your mercy on them; you have given them life. By doing this great pious deed, you have made your name immortal among the devotees of Śiva, Guru-dhruv. Whoever is a devotee of Śiva, while keeping the fast of Mahāśivarātri, he will be able to listen to your story for the rest of his life. May you be blessed. Sit down and do your abhiṣek. We always chant "Oṁ tryambakaṁ." Thank you. Thank you. Oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugaṁdhiṁ puṣṭi vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt. Mahāṃ mudā om tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi Vardhanam urvarukāmiva bandhanam pratyurmukhase mahāmuda om tryambakam yajāmahe sugandhim Oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugaṁdhiṁ puṣṭivardhanam. Who is the loudspeaker? Mic? That’s his video. Mokṣīyamāhe ’mṛtāt. Oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugaṁdhiṁ puṣṭivardhanam. Thank you. Before you go home, you move in your car. Nonsense, they should keep quiet about people. These old people should calm down, okay? No, no, no. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ! Hello Siddhi, how are you? Thank you. It will be better, everything, okay? It will be good. But the picture will be good. Thank you, very nice. Put it in. Oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Thank you. Yajāmahē sugaṁdhiṃ puṣṭi siddha, oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahē sugaṁdhiṃ puṣṭi. Siddha, om tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi. Hari Om. Om Namaḥ Śivāya. Om Namaḥ Śivāya Kī Droṇa Lakha. Om Namaḥ Śivāya. Om Namaḥ Śivāya Kī Droṇa Lakha. Om Namaḥ Śivāya. Om Namah Śivāya. Om Namah Śivāya Kī Droṇa Lakha. That is Vedic Abhigavadgītā. Yeah, Vedic. How do you name post? You are the numb or water? Come in one day with your mokṣa. My name, Jacqueline. Okay, yeah. My she by... oh my, oh my,... oh my... she. Okay, Mike, head okay. So we will change now. It’s called, are you just make praṇām, Abhishek, and walk okay, and flower please. Today on the Lord Śiva’s style, pañcākṣara mahā mantra. Pañcākṣara: pañca means five, akṣara means alphabet. These five alphabets, Śivāya, have the entire universe. It is the glory of the entire universe. Om is that cosmic sound, the first sound which awoke in the universe, and that sound is called Swayambhū, meaning one who manifested himself from this universal consciousness, first in the form of the sound, Nāda, Nādarūpa, Parabrahma. The sound is an attribute of the universe. Parabrahma, the supreme. After that, Swayambhu manifests in light. That’s called Jyoti, the flame. That’s called Śivajyoti, Jīvanjyoti, or the flame of life. So, Aum, Namaḥ Śivāya. Now, when we all sing together, it becomes a collective Abhiṣeka. It means that though you are sitting there, you are already doing Abhiṣeka. When we chant it, Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭi Vardhanaṃ Urvārukam Iva Bandhanān Mṛtyor Mukṣīya Mā’mṛtāt. This is called Mahāmṛtyu Jai Mantra. Victory over death and removal of all the negative qualities and negative thoughts. As much as spirituality develops in our body, in our consciousness, in our intellect, then it means all this antaḥkaraṇa: mana, buddhi, citta, and ahaṁkāra. Mana is the mind, buddhi is intellect, citta is the consciousness, and ahaṁkāra is ego. These all four purify. When these four are purified—mana, buddhi, chitta, ahaṅkāra—then three more remain to purify, and that’s called mala, vikṣepa, and āvaraṇa. Mala is impurity: impure thinking, impure speaking, impure eating, impure behaviors, and so on. Vikṣepa is a mental disturbance. Mental disturbance comes to our brain when we are angry, or we are greedy, or we have ego, or there are family troubles, or someone is angry with you. Many, many disturbances create restless waves in our mind, in our intellect, in the brain, and it is difficult to control them sometimes. So this Mahāmṛtyu Jaya Mantra, as well as the Pañcākṣara Mantra, purifies all these negative waves. Then comes Āvaraṇa. Āvaraṇa means a curtain. Avaran means a wall, so the avaran is the curtain of ignorance. We have a beautiful transparent glass window, but we have a very thick curtain, so we can’t see through the window. When we remove the curtain, then we see the window; we see the clarity. So, first purification of manas, buddhi, citta, and ahaṁkāra. Then the purification of the mala, vikṣepa, and āvaraṇa. Thus, these are eight, seven. And after these seven, there remains three, which are very much disturbing, very troublesome, and that’s called tri-tāpa, three kinds of fire. Now, this fire means problems, troubles, and this is called tri-tāpa, adhidaivik, adhibhautik, and adhyātmik. So the troubles from other people or other creatures—mosquitoes, snakes, flies, maybe tigers, dogs—many, many other creatures, also the humans. And then the diseases, mental disease, physical disease, anger, hate, these are all diseases. A spiritual person, a healthy person will not have anger, will not have jealousy. You have to analyze thyself. And then the adhyātmik, adhibhautik, adhidaivik, then on the karmic level, that karma will follow you and karma will punish you. Dharma daṇḍa, dharma daṇḍa, dharma daṇḍa. So that dharma, that destiny, that law, that will punish you. Part 2: The Humble Heart and the Great God Perhaps you are happy for a while, for some time, that you are a hero, that you can do this or that. But one day we will be sorry. Therefore, it is said: as humble you are, that great you are. And as you say that you are of a higher grade, that lower you are. There was a competition between an ant and an elephant. Grains of sugar were put in the dust. The competition was between the small ant and the big elephant: who could take just the sugar? The elephant put his trunk and inhaled to get the sugar. Of course, he got the sugar, but a thousand times more than sugar was dust in his trunk. The ant gently walked, took only the sweet sugar, put her mouth up, and said, "Here I am." So, laguta means small. Humbleness and kindness—that makes us great. That grain of sugar, that sweetness, means that wisdom, ātmā jñāna. So, how much I can surrender, how much love I have in my heart, that is my humbleness. As soon as I will say, "No, I am happy, I am great, and this and that," then you will get—of course you will get—that sugar, some kind of knowledge. That’s called dry intellect. A dry intellect, an intellect without bhakti, is dry, a plastic apple. An intellect with humbleness, kindness, love, understanding is the wisdom, and that is a quality of bhakti. In this sense, there is one story of the great saint, the Ṛṣi Dīrghatamas. You may have heard about Ṛṣi Dīrghatamas. There is one Purāṇa book, and you can read the entire story, but I will tell you in very short, in few words. From the beginning, there was always fighting, always between negative and positive. In heaven, Indra and all devas and goddesses are all peacefully living life, and suddenly Rākṣasas come and disrupt and bring restlessness to the entire heaven, fighting. Again, devas come to Viṣṇu or Brahmā or Śiva. Again, they find peace. Again, so Rākṣasas are our vṛttis, our inner qualities. So there was one Rākṣasa, and no one could kill him. No one. They said, "If there is an arrow and arch made out of some ṛṣis’, holy saints’ bones, then this Rākṣasa can be killed." So all devas went to the ṛṣi. Of course, who wants to die? Even you are a great ṛṣi, you know. You think that you are a self-realized ātmā jñānī. But when the question of your life comes, the question of your number comes, then you are afraid, and you will run away. We are human. We are a human body. We have human qualities. Don’t think that we have God qualities. On that day when we will have a God quality, we will not be on this planet. But there was a great Ṛṣi, Daddīsī Ṛṣi. And when he heard that, for the sake of the entire universe where this Rākṣasa is disturbing everyone now, then Dardīṛṣi, while living—and the condition was that, not a dead person, while alive, you take the bones out. Now, our Dr. Martin, he is an orthopedic doctor in a hospital in Brno, and he got an award and recognition. He made, for the first time, such an operation on the spinal column that the media showed him greatly. So he knows what the bones mean, and we know what it means when someone takes our bone out. Nowadays you have anesthesia, narcosis, but at that time there was no narcosis. So when the ṛṣi heard, the ṛṣi said, "I will take all the pain, all suffering on me, if all my fellows will get rid of this rākṣasa." And then the ṛṣi offered his bones, and they took his bones and made the file and arch, arrow and arch, and they could kill that Rākṣasa. It means sometimes we have to take out, till our bones, to keep the peace and harmony, and kill that Rākṣasa of our own thinking. Rākṣasa is our greed, Rākṣasa is our ego, Rākṣasa is our selfishness, and so on. So, the Mahāmṛtyuṁjaya Mantra is that mantra which will help us to purify our heart. Think, think what is in your heart, love or hate. I don’t know what is in your heart. In your heart must be love, I think. But what is in my heart, you also don’t know. Only I know, and therefore I can tell you: in my heart, it is great love and the trust in the God Śiva, Devapurījī, Alagpurījī, Mahāprabhujī, Gurujī, and that is my strength. I am not a holy man. I am not a God man. I am just a normal man who is trying to guide you. That’s all. But they are great, and because they live in my heart, like the story in the Rāmāyaṇa. Hanumānjī was a great bhakta, and they said, "Hanumānjī, are you great?" He said, "No, I am not great. I am the servant of God." Where is your God? In my heart. How should we know what you said in the heart? So he opens his heart—and bleeding is not easy to, with the nails, open your chest—and inside reflection, sitting God, Rāma and Sītā. That’s called a holy heart. In the Bible, there is also a story about the holy heart, a bleeding holy heart. When you do something to a great saint, that holy heart is bleeding. And that is our sin. Now, which heart is holy? You think my heart is holy, and your heart is not holy? No. Every heart is holy. Even a small creature has a heart and is holy. Why? Why? Because in that heart is the light of God. Therefore, it is said, "Sab ghaṭ mera saiyan"—in every heart is my Lord. Even my enemy or my friend, animals or birds or any creature, sab ghaṭ mera saiyan, in every heart is my God. No heart is empty. No heart is empty. Every heart is God. Therefore, your heart is a holy heart. My heart is a holy heart. But my adoration is to that heart, where God himself manifests, and he speaks God’s language. And God’s language is love. Understanding. You know, when we go to the temple, we go to the church, we go to the mosque, we go to any spiritual place or ashram, what do we pray? We say to God, "Holy Father, forgive me." Who is saying this? Our heart, and he listens, he forgives. When now his mercy is in your heart, you can forgive. So, how is your heart? What’s going on now inside? Only you know. What’s going on inside me? Only I know. What’s going on in my vṛttis? Only I know. What’s going on in your vṛttis? Only you know, and what you think, no one can see. But when you project your thinking, then it cannot only be seen, but it can be destroyed. So the heart is that, and therefore the heart is the consciousness of Śiva. Śiva jyoti, Swayambhu, in the heart. So we adore, we respect, and we bow down to that heart in which God speaks. He is in every heart, but that heart is special in which He speaks. So, samūhik collective abhiṣeka today on the Śiva Rātri. You know, even the person you will say, "Yeah, I’m talking and talking, then I will stop." A hunter who used to kill the animals, and then you couldn’t get any bent in the night again. And because of the dangerous animals, he climbed to the top of the tree, and down in the mud was a Śiva Liṅgam. And that tree is known as the Bhil tree. The Bhil tree is now known as Śiva’s tree. And that hunter, when he went up climbing, the leaves fell on the Śiva Liṅgam. And he had a waterfall drinking. Waterfall down, where? On the Śiva Liṅgam. So Śiva was thinking, "Great bhakta doing abhiṣeka, great bhakta," and he was angry and he was throwing the leaves, and it was falling on the Śiva liṅga. I mean, Śiva is getting happy. Oh, he’s... that is, God is so... sometimes innocent, we can do anything with Him. The great God is that Śiva, that’s why, no. Any god has a name. No incarnation has a name, like Śiva has a name: Mahādeva. Mahādeva—"Maha" means the great, "Deva" means the God. So even Brahmā, Viṣṇu, all incarnations, yes, we call God Kṛṣṇa, Rāma, and so on, but not Mahākṛṣṇa, not Mahā. Only one has this from the beginning of the universe, the Mahādeva, the Śiva. Mahādev rakṣā kare. When something happens, then someone asks, comes and says, "Please bless me." That time, from the heart, blessing comes. Mahādev rakṣā kare. The greatest God protects you. Then, the deer comes, and the hunter wants to kill it. Oh, now I got it. And that deer, she said, "I am searching for my family. Please don’t kill me. Let me first see my family, and then you can kill me. I will come back." Now, this story also means that even the animal keeps its promise, its word. How many times did you sing, "My Gurudev, I will be thine always"? Even I die. Look, and when we sing, many of you are crying. And after singing, no, that was only a song. It’s not only a song. What is given is given. You are connected forever. Not this material world. It’s an eternal, universal relation between you and that one, doesn’t matter if it’s an animal or a human. And the deer went away, and her sister was searching. And she also came and saw some green leaves to eat. And he thought, "Aha, this one came." And she also said, "I want to see my sister and my brother-in-law. I will come back." She went to search, and he came, Bragga, black Ray deer. And he had the same thing. He said, "I will come back. Let me see my family." And you know, whenever he had anger, not believe, not trust, inspiration came. Again he said, "What am I doing?" Now he was so sorry. He thought, "I am this stupid one. I miss all. My chances are thrown again. These leaves are thrown," and he went home. Again he came, and Śiva appears. When Śiva appears, also these three deer appear. They said, "Now you can kill us. Now I am here, you can kill, because we promised." He said, "I will not." Kill Śiva turns back and said, "You are not a deer. You are also some divine goddess, divine soul." So, it’s not easy. Look in your heart. That’s it. Look in your heart. Therefore, Gurujī said once, "Even the Himalaya begins to shake. But Mahāprabhujī, my faith, my confidence, my bhakti should not shake." That’s it. Śivarātri’s meaning. We shall keep our promise. We shall remain on that. We say, according to our karma, we will not get liberation. Every minute we are changing. Liberation is not so easy, my dear, okay? And even the great Kapila Muni, whom we saw in a small film after Śiva, even such a great Kapila, Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said in the Bhagavad Gītā, "Arjuna, among the Siddhas, I am Kapila," Maharṣi Kapila Muni. Because Kapil was a great Siddha, but ignorance attacked him. But it is said, "Raṅkā ko rājā, rājā ko raṅkā, gurudev banā sakte." So therefore it is said, it doesn’t matter what happens, please don’t become angry. Because anger is for us, it is that fire which can burn. So, collective abhiṣeka. We will have a Śiva prayer, Śivarātri, and after Śivarātri, today’s program is over. Tomorrow... The program or this hall will be accessible from nine in the morning till evening, about the same time, 9, 9:30, or 10. We will be here in the daytime. I hope some volunteer will be here, and you can come make abhiṣeka for your family, for your brother, sister, husband, wife, friends, for everyone, in the name of anyone, for peace, for good health, for harmony, forgiveness, and liberation. You make your saṅkalpa, and you can come and make abhiṣeka five times, eleven times, and then you can sit and make your mālā a hundred eight times mentally: "tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi-vardhanam," and like this, or meditate there. There will be some bhajans going on, and like that tomorrow evening. Children, we will finish the program here very quickly now, don’t worry. I know it’s very hard for our children. So, he or she needs to eat a little. And there is also my lecture, and again Bhakti Devī will perform some nice dance. So first will be dance, and then bhajans, and then will be again a beautiful video. So, at the very beginning, how from the universe the Swayambhū, the Śiva, is manifesting. It’s fantastic. It’s beautifully done, very beautifully done, with some mantras, and it’s worthwhile to see. And that will be around, say, let’s say that you can come, and this, so first will be the dance, then will be the bhajans, and then will be Śiva’s manifestation, and then just I will come and say something. What he sits in my heart and will tell. So all my dear brothers and sisters around the world who are with us through this webcast, I pray for you to God Śiva on this very holy, auspicious occasion of the Śivarātri, that God... Give you blessings and spirituality, divine energy and divine consciousness. Tomorrow’s program will be announced, when will be the webcasts, and all are welcome to come enjoy. When you come inside, try to keep Mauna. Try to feel the energy of Śiva, you know. In this minute, we are all Śivamaya. We are Śivamaya. What means the Śivamaya? Śivamaya means vibrations of one. So, Śivamaya, we are inside him, in his abha, in his vibration, in his radiance, and this should go with you to home. Take it with you, feel it, keep these divine thoughts. Let it purify us through and through. So we will have prayer, and then first, all children will... after all children, you will get okay, and you will get prasāda. So thank you for your coming. Wish you a very good drive, a good journey back home, because many came from a far distance. I appreciate that you came, and the next one, who knows when we will see again? It’s in the stars if Mahāprabhujī’s and Śiva’s Devpurījī’s divine light will move. Then I will see you in June. Man is a proposal, and God is disposal. Take care and be happy. Enjoy. So, prayer, please. In prayer, we will stand. Thank you. Have any flame? So we have flame in the heart, a flame of love, okay? Three times. Swami Bhau Bhanu Gyataka Bhata Karena, Hari Om.
