Gurupurnima celebration 2011/ Part 5

The supreme path is love, service, and the study of sacred scripture. Serving others through karma yoga is the fastest way for divine realization. The Bhagavad Gītā is the essential scripture for universal welfare, containing all yogic paths leading to liberation. It is the direct speech of the divine, an ocean of knowledge and immortal nectar. Contemplating its teachings with faith destroys sin and leads to the supreme abode. The relationship with a true master is central, as disciples take spiritual vows on this day. Spiritual life requires enduring difficulties, not just sunshine. Practice diligently, overcome sorrow, and remain always loving. "In the Bhagavad Gītā, it is written that if you serve others, if you do karma yoga, sevā, in whatever way you want, it is the fastest and simplest way for the realization of God." "The Gītā is a sacred scripture in the highest sense. It is an ocean of the treasure of knowledge." Filming locations: Jadan, Rajasthan, India.

Part 1: A Guru Pūrṇimā Gathering: Reflections on Love, Service, and the Gītā This is a very great example for me. Being in love, giving love, and serving others is what matters most. Also, in the Bhagavad Gītā, it is written that if you serve others, if you do karma yoga, sevā, in whatever way you want, it is the fastest and simplest way for the realization of God. On this day, I also think a lot about Holī Gurujī. I had the opportunity to be with him for several years, and he is the greatest Bhakta I have ever seen. Today, Gurujī came again and gave me 24 beads of the mālā. I took them and then went to the assembly in front of the temple. I crossed the assembly and then crossed the street. I crossed the street and then crossed another street. I took the balance from there and then... Gurujī, you can see, and so I sing this. We shoot this from him today, today... And to the ignorant, to the ignorant... I will give the name "ignorant" because for one’s enemy, for one’s enemy... A brahmāsātya jyāgatamityā brahmāsātya jyāgatamityā... Do not appear too much. Do not appear too much... Why, why... Ka Shivaḥ Om. Shivaḥ Om Shivaḥ... We give you all the love of Svāmījī in the whole world. Be good disciples, practice your sādhanā, and focus on the love of life. You are with us, we love you all, and we are a very big family, a joyful family, a family full of hope and love. Siddhip Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. Go, Āryas, my son, do not say māmī; māmī is used in Marwari language. Instead, say bhēr pāpā jī or pitā jī. If you say bhāmī, then māmā jī will say pāpā jī, and that will cause confusion. Do not say māmī and pāpā; say pitā jī and mātā jī. Go, then, Doctor Shān. The significance of Guru Pūrṇimā—what Guru Pūrṇimā is, and on the day of Guru Pūrṇimā, the importance of the sādhaka, śiṣya, and bhakta coming to their guru and taking śaṅkalpa for their spiritual life, and so on; and the supreme goal of the śiṣya, such as ātma jñāna, and so forth, O Guru... Bhagavān Śaṅkarācārya said, "Chidānanda rūpa Śivo ham, Śivo ham." In the language of friends, our Śādavī, Svāmījī, and Śānti jī explained this very well, and you all sat very peacefully. That is why their name is also Śānti. Now Śānti jī will deliver the message in German. There are countries where only the German language is spoken, so those people... I will give a hint: If you speak in two languages, one ear listens and the other understands. If you speak in one language, one ear listens and the other understands, but if you speak in two languages, the mind does not come to understand. Hail to Swāmījī Mahēśvarānandajī, Gurudev! You alone are the mother, the nurturer; you alone, you alone are the many-fold glory. You alone, you alone are the knowledge and the sacred thread; you alone, you alone are all to me. Śrī Dīp Naramagwana, Kī Jai. Svāmījī is here for the European Bhaktas, a special Bhaktas made. Yesterday, there were already spiritual songs here, and Svāmījī has been here all day, continuously making efforts to speak and give blessings. It is a wonderful atmosphere here, with thousands of people present. Something special happened today, and this is also not the first time that we are here. Puru puru... puru to you, to you... Siddha Pīṭha Paramparā, Siddha Pīṭha Paramparā,... Siddha and I see it as a sign that he is simply present, and with this wind, with this weather, in his form and also in the form of Śrī Devpurījī, bestows his blessing upon us. And he also tells us that our life, especially as spiritual aspirants, does not unfold only in the sunshine; we must also endure the tikṣā, we must go through the Kumbha Melā, Śrī Devpurījī, Śrī Madhavānanda Purī Jī, Śrī Madhavānanda Purī. Yes, Śrī Amitābha Purī Jī, Śrī Amitābha Purī Jī,... Śrī Amitābha, your āśrama āśrama... We were a small group, maybe 12-14 people, and one day he took us along with Katharina and made a drawing of his Om Āśrama. I thought to myself that he was a young Svāmījī and there was no possibility of finances or anything like that, and yet he drew this project. I actually didn’t believe it. Now it is melting away... Purī Jī, Purī Jī... Purī, if you... Purī Jī Purī Jī... Purī, yours, yours... puff puff... Salutations to the father, the mother, the caste, the Vedas, the father, the mother, the birth, the friend, the disciple, the friend, the guru—consciousness-bliss form, Shivoham, Shivoham, Jīdananda Rūpā, Shivoham, Shivoham. Swāmījī has given us so many means of the practice of sorrow, so many methods to overcome sorrow, to find inner joy amidst difficulties, and to remove the causes of sorrow. We can achieve this, and we just need to follow what he has taught us. And if I may share a second, perhaps a small one, what is wonderful to read is the twelfth chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, where it is described very precisely how we should be. Always friendly, always loving, always loving,... always loving. Kumbha Melā, Śrī Siddha Purī Jī, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Purī Jī, Siddha Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp Karatā Paramparā, Śrī Siddha Prabhu Dīp... If you, if you... a... Their sole principle is not to extract teeth but to keep them intact as they are, to treat and strengthen them. Dr. Shanti follows one principle: not to pull teeth out but to leave them in and repair them in such a way that they always remain healthy. You see my teeth, they are very good because I know the Dr. Shanti Jī, for the last 35 years, we often fight; I want to pull out, and she says no. And she is taking care of the hospital in Jādan, and the doctors working there, Indian doctors, have also become very expert. And even from far away places up to Jaipur, people come to Jadan Ashram for dental treatment. Gurudev used to give an example about a place called Basa. During the time of the British, in a small town where the British office was located, Indian people also worked there. One day, it was the birthday of an Indian person, and two British officers were working there. His wife could not come; she said she would come at ten o’clock. The Englishman went to the office. The Indian asked his wife, "Mem sāb will come soon; should I stay here or will you prepare some breakfast for her?" The Marwari replied in English, "She will be here in half an hour." The Englishman said, "Mem sāb has arrived." When she came, that Marwadi woman arrived, and when they met at the door, that English woman said, "Good morning." Now, I told the Marwadi woman, "Don’t say ’Good morning’." She thought that Indian people must have some customs and traditions for welcoming guests, so she said, "Come in, come in." So, if a foreign woman says something, no one listens; then why call her a water sister? We do not consider her as such. It is not about water, but about pure thoughts. Where is that fire to bring the bhāṭo? To break the guru’s bond, the bhāṭo sister, who does not know the two threads, only takes the bhāṭo. That bhāṭo, you know, went to Inārī Pathā. Later, he said again, The foreign lady, the water sister, the water, or the Marwari woman, why are we sorrowful because of her? Why are we sorrowful because of her? What is it about the water sister, what is it about her? When a person does not understand the language, the meaning gets lost; so if you say "father," the language is what understands our word. Maharāj just said that the one who understands the word understands the language; the word itself is our journey, our path... As long as two lives are given to me, my journey is accompanied by the sound of the drum; whatever is my abode, that alone is mine. So the rain is pouring heavily, Indra is also happy, yes, Indra is happy. But it is said, even beyond the kingdom of Indra, which kingdom is the greatest? So, for us... Sitting nearby is Lakṣmī Jī, her name is Lakṣmī, she is from Italy, which country? Italy. So she will read the message of Guru Pūrṇimā in the Italian language and sing bhajans. So you all listen very peacefully, receive through the words, and give through the words. Everything has to be done through the words. Our conversation is through words, our journey is through words. Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, Satguru Devakīrti. Now she will translate this bhajan into Italian and convey the message of Guru Pūrṇimā in Italian. She is coming from Italy, Pardwa, Lakshmi. What are you doing? Walk across. Yes. Sit straight. Yes, Svāmījī. Place the dog on your knee. Good morning dear friends, brothers, spiritual researchers from all over the world, a special greeting to all the Italians who are listening to us. I send this greeting from this divine land, India, Jadan, where I am fortunate to be on the occasion of Guru Pūrṇimā. Swāmījī has asked me to translate this bhajan for you. I will do so with a few words, the simplest ones that come from the heart. The greatest joy is to be at the feet of a true master, of a saint, and Svāmījī is so, in form, spirit, Bhagavān with us. We do not seek, says this Bhajan, I do not want, I do not desire the things of the world, of svarga, of material possessions, of the mundane, of what can be had continuously. No, we do not seek these; we seek something more, simply to remain at the feet of the master, simply our spiritual path, whatever it may be. I have found my path, everyone has their own path, this is the safest one, with a self-realized master, a guru, Purī Jī Purī Jī... Mahāprabhudīp does only this... Purī Jī, Purī Jī... Mahāprabhudīp Paramparā is solely carried forward by Mahāprabhudīp... Purī Jī, Purī Jī... This is all about those who are present, those who are not present, those who have passed away, those who are coming from San Francisco, those who are present and also those who will come in the future. Thank you, Dānya Bāt, Barāttā Bomi, thank you, and long live Italy as well. Having witnessed and celebrated the festival of Guru Pūrṇimā, and seeing the pūjās and archanās being performed here, it is truly wonderful. The language used is very sweet and beautiful. In their language, which is spoken throughout South America, the Spanish language is spoken, and the entire Spanish-speaking community is addressed as such. Yes, so our Lakṣmī, many many thanks to you. Now let’s change the language a bit, and now from our Sandārā village, Chandan Singh jī has come and is seated, right? Yes, Chandan Singh jī from Sandārā. She is currently narrating the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam in this very state. She is a good speaker. Jyoti Bhāratī, I give you fifteen to twenty minutes; she will also share her thoughts on Guru Pūrṇimā. Come, dear, let me give you the microphone. Jyoti Bhāratī, these are Khemānand Jī who are sitting here; she is Khemānand Jī’s granddaughter. And Khemānana Jī, who is a senior member of our Mānirvāṇī Akāḍe, Māmandaleśvara Gītā Bhāratī Jī, is their disciple as well as a disciple of Gurujī, and she is the granddaughter of Khemaram Jī. Revered Mahāmanaleśvara Śrī Ek Ājār Āṭha Mādhvānana Jī Mahārāj, the revered Vishwaguru Mahāmanaleśvara Śrī Śrī Ek Ājār Āṭha Maheśvarānana Gī Maheśvarānana Purī Jī Mahārāj, and all the devoted devotees’ own most respected, remembered, and worshipful presence. Respected saints, great souls, devotees seated on the stage, and the mothers and sisters who have attained Bhagavat, the Śrīmat Bhagavad Gītā is a subject of profound mystery. After reviewing the scriptures and the words of great personalities, I have arrived at the conclusion that in this world, the Śrīmat Bhagavad Gītā... No scripture is more beneficial for universal welfare than the Gītā. Whether it is Jñāna Yoga, Dhyāna Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, or any other discipline mentioned therein, practicing any of these according to one’s faith, interest, and capacity can lead to the comprehensive well-being of the individual. Therefore, to understand the essence and mystery of the above-mentioned sādhus and Paramātmā, one must make a special effort with faith and love towards the great souls and, in their absence, towards the highest order of devotees, contemplating deeply on the meaning and sentiment of the Gītā. This is a supreme secret, which the most compassionate Śrī Kṛṣṇa Chandra, the Bhagavān, has revealed. Addressing Śrī Arjuna, it has been said for the welfare of all beings, but only those who have surrendered to Bhagavān and contemplate the Śrīman Bhagavad Gītā can truly understand its impact. Such devotees alone can realize the divine grace and should engage in listening to, reflecting upon, and studying the Śrīman Bhagavad Gītā. The person who reads this sacred Gītā scripture with a pure mind and love becomes free from fear and attains Śrī Viṣṇu Dhāma. The person who constantly reads the Gītā and remains absorbed in prāṇāyāma, all the sins committed in this and previous births are completely destroyed. Just as daily bathing in water removes only the physical impurities of a person, similarly... Once having bathed even once in the Gītā, the embodiment of knowledge, which destroys the filth of the world in a person, and which has manifested from the lotus face of Bhagavān Śrī Viṣṇu Himself, by drinking that Gītā-like Ganges water, one does not have to be born again in this world. The Gītā is immortal nectar and pure. The person endowed with buddhi is the supreme human being, and he is the one who truly enjoys. The revered Bhagavad Gītā is the blissful, conscious, supreme scripture, complete with prosperity, worshipped by all moving and unmoving beings. It is the direct divine speech of the supreme person, Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa, filled with infinite mysteries. It is only by the grace of Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa that anyone... The secret of this can be understood by those noble souls who, filled with supreme faith and pure devotion, contemplate the Śrīmad Bhagavad Gītā with their hearts. They alone, by directly experiencing the grace of Bhagavān, can realize some aspect of the true nature of the Gītā. Therefore, it is appropriate for all men and women to take the devotee Arjuna as their ideal and, by worshipping the divine qualities of Arjuna within themselves, to contemplate the Śrīmad Bhagavad Gītā; only they experience the grace of Bhagavān. Śrī Kṛṣṇa Candrānakta Bhagavān has beautifully expressed His transcendental influence. Whoever takes Bhagavān in such a manner at all times, then... The mind cannot abandon even for a moment the contemplation of Bhagavān because the object that a person considers supreme is the one in which their love resides, and where there is love, there is contemplation. Therefore, the primary duty of all is to thoroughly understand the profound influence of Bhagavān’s supreme grace, transcending the ephemeral and the illusory. Completely renounce the attachments of the world and take refuge in Paramātmā, engaging especially in bhajan and satsang. Om śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ. And after that, the second ādi and the third ādi will be dedicated by our Śrī Mātejī Pūrṇā Pūrṇī Jī Mārāj, and since he became a brāhmin, he has started the Gītā’s pāpa here, and upon coming here, he will complete its pūrṇā. Pūrṇa pūrṇa uducate pūrṇa aśya pūrṇa mādhāye pūrṇa me vāvaśyate vāsu. Devam sutaṁ devam kañcānūra madanaṁ deva kī paramānandana kaṣṇavaṁ de jagat gurōṁ om om śāntihi śāntihi... Maṅgala thrice, Śānti thrice, the cessation of the threefold sufferings, the attainment of Paramānanda—this is the form of mokṣa. O supreme bliss, worthy of worship in the morning, worthy of reverence, worthy of obeisance, O beloved souls, O saints, and devotees, and mothers and sisters who have attained bhukti, and also the young cowherd boys. Om Śrī Gītā contains the essence of the ultimate truth; Gītā is the direct divine voice. Part 2: The Glory of the Gītā and the Essence of Gurupūrṇimā The Gītā is a sacred scripture in the highest sense. It is an ocean of the treasure of knowledge. The Gītā is the means for attaining devotion and the devotee. It is also called the essence of elemental knowledge. The liberation of the Gītā is the true victory; it is the form of the supreme being who dwells in the heart and mind. The Gītā is Bhagavān. What is the half and compound of Jīta? Jīta is the series of the Smṛti śāstras. Jīta greatly supports the Vedas. Jīta is the connection between mokṣa, Jainism, and jīvātman-paramātman. Jīta is even greater than the Gaṅgā. Jīta is the queen of truth. Jīta is Vedānta. Jīta is the Kalpataru. Jīta is the eternal scripture of all beings. Jīta is the great and patient truth of the nation. Now, in the Gītā, there are eighteen chapters: the first is Dhyāna Yoga, the second is Sāṅkhya Yoga, the third is Karma Yoga, then Jñāna Karma Sannyāsa Yoga, the fifth is Karma Sannyāsa Yoga, the sixth is Ātma Samyama Yoga, the seventh is Jñāna Vijñāna Yoga, the eighth is Akṣara Brahma Yoga, the ninth is Rāja Vidyā Rāja Guhya Yoga, the tenth is Vibhūti Yoga, the eleventh is Viśvarūpa Darśana Yoga, and the twelfth is Bhakti Yoga. Tervājviśurūpadarśanayoga Tervājviśurūpadarśanayoga... In the Terwāj Jitā, there are eighteen jyāyas; in the Jitā, there are the Sāṃsō sūtra, one sūtra of Datt Rāṣṭra, one sūtra of Sanjek, eighty-four sūtras of Śrī Arjuna, and the five hundred and eighty sūtras of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Chamrānan Kan Bhagavān. Altogether, these make up the Sāṃsō sūtras. In the Gītā, there are three sections: Kāṇḍa Kāṇḍa, Upāsanā Kāṇḍa, and Jñāna Kāṇḍa. The Gītā is divided into two parts: the Mantra part and the Brāhmaṇa part. The Gītā contains eightfold obstacles, the knowledge of Brahman, and the Śrī Kṛṣṇa Jñāna Kāṇḍa. Bhagavān and Arjuna reveal their infinite forms, the supreme Hari, the sustainer with lotus-like eyes and hair like the dark raincloud. Keśāva, Govi, Jagat Bati, Jag Divār, Janāradan, Dev Dev... Seeing Nandan, the Paramātmā, the supreme Lord, the ancient Bhagavān, becoming manifest, do not let your mind be swayed by external allurements or intoxicating sweetness. The yogi, the enemy of ignorance, who controls desires, is the true Bhagavān. By chanting the sacred name of Hari, Hari,... one attains understanding and the cessation of sins. This is the name of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the moon among gods, and also the revered name of Śrī Arjuna. Now, the name of Śrī Arjuna—Arjun, the son of Kapidhvaja, victorious in the Kurukṣetra battle, the son of Kuntī, who flew like the wind, the conqueror of Danuja, the son of Pāṇḍu, the Pāṇḍava, the foremost among warriors, the hero of the great battle of Bhārata, the protector of dharma, the friend of Viṣṇu and victory—such is the glory of the name Arjuna. The teaching of Chāndan Kan, the perfect speech of Bhagavān, has come forth; in it, every word is delightful. In it, whatever doubts arise are dispelled. In it, the true abode of liberation is revealed. In it, there is mention of the honor of the mind, the lordship of consciousness, and the measure of the intellect. In it, there is neither duality nor non-duality; Brahmī pervades everywhere. In it, the essence of truth is imparted. In form, it is accepted as the embodiment of the supreme Brahman, the supreme soul, the beloved Bhagavān. It is said that in it lies the infinite treasure of knowledge, and the second stage of giving begins. The Hindi translation is that Śrī Sanje said that by fully concentrating and listening attentively, one attains and reaches the essence, and thus the path of realization is revealed. So, the supreme Lord Bhagavān Vedū Sādhan said to Arjuna, you have attained the knowledge of the self through the teachings of the scriptures, because this is neither the giver of worldly pleasures nor the bestower of fame. Therefore, Arjuna, do not seek the transient; it is not befitting for you. I will fight against the world caravan because these two have not yet come to worship; therefore, even after killing the world, I will fight against the world caravan. That is why I say, by correcting faults and practicing meditation, I remain steadfast. I ask you, whatever is not needed, let that be the means for welfare for me, because I am your disciple. Therefore, please grant me your refuge, as I am your disciple. Because the one who removes the dryness of my Indra, as the wise say, O King, Arjuna, the conqueror of Indra, the inner knower, the bestower of gifts, is the manifestation of Bhagavān. I will again dedicate this effort to Śrī Gohañc Bhagavān. Everyone remained silent about this; his prāṇa was the sovereign Arjuna, the inner knower, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the witness, the indweller. Bhagavān, standing between them, addressed Arjuna, who was grieving: Arjuna, you grieve because you are attached to sorrow, and the scholar... He elevates the noble ones, but the learned scholars do not mourn those whose prāṇa have departed, nor do they mourn those whose prāṇa have not yet departed, because the Self is eternal. Therefore, mourning is inappropriate. When the Self abides within, one remains youthful and vibrant. The subtle knowledge of the transient body does not affect the true Self. Therefore, a stubborn person who truly knows the tattva cannot be disturbed like a wave; such a person is worthy of mokṣa. And, O Arjuna, unreal relationships have no real existence and no true feeling. Both have been seen by the tattva-jñānī puruṣas. According to this teaching, if it is not present, then... Know this: the all-pervading, imperishable Self cannot be destroyed by any means. Arjuna, no weapon can harm it, no fire can burn it, no water can wet it, and no wind can dry it. And the eternal, imperishable Self, all-pervading like the sun, is always present and eternal. Oṁ Śrī Paramātmane Namaḥ. Karmayukṣa Namaḥ. The victorious beginning of the Indian tradition is this: O Arjuna, if you have renounced attachment to actions and do not desire their fruits, then why do you engage in such intense actions? Therefore, understand this clearly. My intellect is captivated, fixating on one point with deep concentration. O noble soul, advance with steadfast pride and determination. You are a servant of tranquility; therefore, read the great Gītā. The Gītā speaks from the mouth of Bhagavān, revealing supreme truths. Even in deep sleep, absorbed in profound slumber, the Gītā speaks through that mouth. You are imperishable, you are immortal—abandon all entanglements. Oh, manifest your form, break the bond of love; for those who fall below that price, rise again. Oh, sing the pain, the discourse, read the Gītā, read the Gītā. Give the light of knowledge, dispel the bonds of the people; all devotees together lovingly remove the ārtī. Read the Gītā, read the Gītā... Oṁ śānti śānti... Therefore, let us immerse ourselves in the golden words of Svāmījī. For the past two days, we have been deeply engaged in this. Yes, today is Gurupūrṇimā, and it is also a very auspicious day. It is a great fortune that you all have already participated in such a satsaṅg. Inside, you are present, and you are receiving the benefits of puṇya. What is the meaning of Guru and Pūrṇimā? What does Guru mean? Guru also means the forms of ignorance, both the sun and the moon; both are the same. This is called pūrṇa, and this is in the month of Āṣāḍh. Why is it celebrated? There are many full moons—Āṣāḍha, Bhādrapada, Āśvina, Kārtika, Mārgaśīrṣa, Phālguna, Chaitra, Vaiśākha, Jyeṣṭha, many full moons—and names are placed in the same sequence. The flower of that grows greatly, and in the heart of such a guru, Gurumārāj, and in the heart of the disciple, the seed of knowledge that is sown, it flourishes abundantly. It is fruitful, and it spreads widely, it grows abundantly. Fortunate are we all, you and I, by spreading the message far and wide. Today, in one hundred and fifty-three foreign provinces, within the country, your preaching is going on, and I am grateful for that. I also often travel to Bombay. Whenever Swāmījī appears in any paper, I always convey to him that it is yours, that it has come this way, and I express my deep gratitude. We will not elaborate or give a lengthy discourse now. Our Swāmījī will proceed with the upcoming work and explain it to all of you. Many, many thanks, and since then... Since the passing of Mātā Jī, these two children have been completing the eighteen chapters of the Gītā in our Sammī. They are prepared by Jyotibhā from there, and these little children are reciting the Gītā. By the grace of our Svāmījī, with his blessings, this entire work is being accomplished, and we are grateful for your presence. You have been given this opportunity to attain such knowledge, the true eternal dharma of Śrī Śrī Guru Svāmījī Mādhavaraṇ Jī Bhagavān. It is a very important point to understand that nowadays children do not even know their ABCs, nor do they know a simple Hindi prayer song. This is because these children have not received proper saṃskāras from saṃskārit parents. These children do not say mummī and pāpā; they say pitā and mātā. It is said that there is one Paramātmā; the śarīra form of that Paramātmā is ātman, and that same ātman, becoming jīvātman, is the mixture of ātman and anātman, which is called jīva. The jīvātman, when embodied in this earthly realm, is the mortal human body, whether male or female. In knowledge, spirituality, and ātman, there is no distinction of gender. If someone does good deeds, they are called dharmātmā, and if they do bad deeds, they are called pāpātmā. According to Sanskrit grammar, pāpā refers to one who does not even get a place in hell. Even for hell, they have to stand on the waiting list. If your parents do not know Hindi at all and only know English, then it is perfectly fine to call them papa and mummy. But what is called blackmailing in English, that blackmailing happens in the conscious or semi-conscious mind or subconscious, and one day it will take a tangible form saying, "Hey..." O soul, you will not find awakening in hell, and now even while alive, they say "high dead," as if you have died, and aunt, the dead body, and that dead body lies in the ground for some days... Oh aunt, then aunt’s village, why do you call your poor mother with such words? Why do you address your own father, who is a father... The one who has done the puṇya, your mother and father have given you the human birth. Why do you place this sin upon your mother and father? Nowadays, the great men of the cities say, "They have beaten me, what have I done?" No one has done anything to you. At least, they gave you birth; that much they have done. So why do you consider them sinful? So you see, Muslims will never say "Bammī Pāpā," their children will never say that; they simply don’t know it. What they know is which television or cinema actor is who, whether someone is an actor or not, who is the hero, who is the heroine, they remember those names, but nothing about how many ṛṣis there are. He himself does not know that inside the Gītā there is Arjuna, Bhīma, and these Pāṇḍavas, etc. Today’s children do not remember these names at all because the child whom you call pāpī, papa, you also call him Piṇṭū, then Ḍiṇṭū, then Tiṭṭū, and Tiṭṭū is like a lizard, a little creature. The cicada does not beat; it is the filth, the excrement, that does. What did your father say to you? What did he say? He went away, he went away. The sinner went away, the scoundrel went away, the rascal went away, the Gītā will be in the next birth, but not here. There was no son at all. Make a resolve that my child will call me only mother and father, if you have the strength to do so. Clap your hands, no one else, but the pigeon flew away. If you have Hindutva in you, if you have the strength to become a father, and if that is your own son, then you should teach him that son, I am your father, not your sinner. But if you do not stand firm, then where is the courage? Krishna is the knower of the Gītā, and the mother is the knower of the father; so the child is the child... Teach them to say "pitā śrī" and "mātā śrī." Nowadays, they say "aṇṭī" or "an āṭī," whatever that means. Is it some kind of blindness? No, brother, if it’s an elder woman, just say "chāy pīlo, aṇṭī." And "aṇṭī" means what? Is she your aunt, your sister-in-law, or your maternal aunt? Who is she? Why have we made her "aṇṭī"? This is where our Sanskrit connection is lost. Our culture does not break; it says that no matter who the mother is, even if we have never seen her, we will call her mother. So, the meaning of mother encompasses the same respect as that of a mother, sister, and daughter. Within our society, purity will remain. Nowadays, the word "son" is just one word. Madam, for us, "madam" has no real meaning. Madam, just go ahead and do your business. No, madam, just get married to Radhe, no, madam, marry both Radhe; there is no conflict in that. Our culture unites, it does not divide. So, dear ones, you see how much practice these little children must have done, and thanks to them for standing on their feet, turning their blood and sweat into their work. You used to work within a mile inside Ahmedabad, and whenever you had a break, you would go to satsaṅg, serve Gurujī, read the Gītā, study the scriptures, and delve into Vedānta. Khemānand Jī has given such excellent practice to these two young children for the future. By going there, they will serve as a protective shield for our country and for Sanātana Dharma. For this, many many thanks and congratulations, because our school children will also jump in, they will also come and speak in Sanskrit. Who knows which scripture they will recite and speak from! You will get attached to the Vedas, so sit quietly. Tomorrow is Śubharātri; you will have to study from there. Mother is God, Bhagavān is the lamp, Nārāyaṇa is the lamp, Nārāyaṇa... Bhagavān kī Svāmījī Mahisrānan Jī Mahārāj kī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān kī Svāmījī Mahisrānan Jī Mahārāj kī O nāo abhī ham log frens bhāsā, Italian bhāsā, German bhāsā, Hindi bhāsā, Mārwāḍī bhāsā, ādi ādi bhāsāoṁ meṁ guru pūrṇimā kī mahimā gān kiyā hai. They have gone, and my disciples are waiting all over the world in at least 218 countries for me to give them some blessings on Guru Pūrṇimā in English. So please sit quietly, and those who need to leave may get up and go; those who want to sleep can go to the garden. Go to sleep, it is cool and raining, joy will come. Those who want to eat, please go there, and if not, then sit quietly.
