London's evening satsang with Swamiji

A home's foundation and the practice of satsaṅg are essential for a harmonious life. According to Vāstu Śāstra, the land's shape and entrance direction are crucial; an entrance from the north or east is best, while the south should be avoided. The front of the property should not be wider than the back, symbolizing balanced prosperity. Before construction, a ground-breaking ceremony must be performed during an auspicious astrological time, beginning at the northeast corner. The building process involves purifying stones representing the five elements and nine planets, and placing symbols like a ghee lamp, serpent deities, and Gaṇeśa to ensure protection and happiness. For existing homes with poor orientation, adjusting furniture and offering prayers can improve the atmosphere. Satsaṅg, meaning to be with truth, is the ultimate remedy for removing negative energies. It involves positive thinking, repeating mantras, and discussing uplifting topics. Constant remembrance and devotion to the Guru are necessary, as spiritual progress requires unwavering dedication and protection from negative influences until the last breath. "If you do one thing, you will achieve everything. And when you try to achieve everything, you will lose everything." "Only the fortunate ones have the luck to come to satsaṅg."

Part 1: A Journey of Faith and the Foundations of a Home Go and eat. They are waiting downstairs for you. It is not good that someone is going and eating. Fifteen minutes. Come and tell where and what happened, and what are your experiences, and so on. Come. Jayadevī, how are you? Welcome. When did you arrive? Today. Give her the microphone. Who came over with you, Jayadevī? I’m here. Wait a little bit till everyone comes. Also, do you have this Pādaviraṇī? Please, bring all the bhajan books here. Your duties are on the door; what are you doing here? Those who don’t know her will know now. And she’s a very great bhakta, not an easy person. And she’s really light. Divya Jyoti is really divine light. You were in the Washington Ashram? You should have gone there at least one day. It means you have to go back. There’s good next time. And so, Divya Jyoti inspired many, many souls around the world. She was, let’s say, a messenger of Gurudev. She traveled from Europe, Croatia, to India, and then further—how and what? She will tell us something which should inspire us. It should not disappoint us. "As long as I was Swāmījī’s disciple, my wish was to go with Swāmījī on an Australian tour, on his tour around the world. But my children were young, and it was not possible before. So, by the blessing of Swamījī, it happened this year. I’m 15, I just got out of university, and I asked Swamījī, 'Should I go on this journey?' and Swamījī actually said yes. So, the second problem was my company. I work on Croatian national television, and how would they give me leave to go on a four-and-a-half-month tour? And again, only by collecting Oshwamiji, they agreed that I could go, and they gave me paid days. I think it’s important... Nobody gets it. That’s called Guru Gripal. So, it was easy to plan this part when I was with Swamiji, but then after, because there is an around-the-world ticket, which is pretty, not so expensive. It is expensive, like 2,400 euro. And you have to have 17 stops, and you have to pass 29,000 miles. And I got it on credit. I’m not so rich. So I got it on MasterCard, on credit. I got free, I got all by visa, which is also hard work, and it is probably hard for Croatian people to get a visa in Australia and New Zealand. America will be there soon, and India. You have to fulfill 17 pages. I had to ask my husband to sign a letter for New Zealand so that I could go, even if I am 50. What means husband is husband? So that’s so-called freedom, you know. So it was a great time in India with Swāmījī. Everything is great, and it was really a big blessing for me. And in Australia, and we came to New Zealand, and I knew that I will never be again in New Zealand. I don’t... I think that I will be able to afford myself. After that, I am good with some of our yoga friends, so I was in contact with them, and that’s how I started this journey without Swāmījī. I mean, you are protected when you are with Swamījī, but when you are not with Swamījī, you are on the street in this. And again, actually, I was protected. So, in a few words, it was a great time. While Swamijī had this conference in New Zealand, there also came some Māori people, and we were in contact. So after, I also had some meeting with them, and they asked me to show them vegetarian. They were cannibal, you know, before. So now they want a vegetarian workshop, and this is also a miracle. Miracles happen all the time when we are Swāmījī’s disciples. How was the greeting? And this you must also tell: the opening of the ashram in the Kapiti. Kapiti, yes. Kapiti, yeah. In the Rāmāyaṇa, yeah. How was the Rāmāyaṇa? First meeting, our ashram, but we couldn’t go in before. Yeah, before they... This is something interesting, you know. Yes, it was great. I mean, they called, they had... the name of that is calling in Māori tradition, so it is welcoming, and they welcomed Swamiji in our ashram, which is open. It was an opening ceremony, and they called Swamiji, and they have this special way how they greet you when they are calling. Actually, they are calling, not asking, their ancestors also to agree. Now they inform them that Swamiji is coming, or you or anyone, but that Swamiji is coming, and they dance there, and it was really something. Special, and they have dance, and they like Swamiji very, very much. They want to work with Swamiji, and they want Swamiji to prepare a special program for Maori people. They are very in touch with nature, and actually, and then I was in. Hostels, this is also for you, maybe good information. Do that, do that. Youth hostels, you can get accommodation anywhere in the world through the internet for between 11 and 15 euros per day, and you can use the kitchen. You have a living room, you have internet, everything, and they organize for you all what you have to see at that place. And this is how I start to feel more secure. And Swāmījī, whenever I was sad or something, Swāmījī was calling me, and Swāmījī told me that. What was it? It is really a feeling of protection when he told me, 'If I need something, I should just let him know.' So it’s like you feel very, very secure, even if you are actually on the street. So I was a 50-year-old lady on a glacier in South Ireland. I never thought that I would be able to do. Now I will tell just a little bit, and kayaking, they are organizing these youth hotels. And then I was in Hollywood, and I think Hollywood is waiting for Swamijī. Then I was in Louisiana, New York, and they came to Europe. And first I saw Swamijī. And it is also a blessing. Thank you. Thank you." Is someone going to speak? Jaya Devi, what is the news from the ashram? Come here. Where is your husband? Who will speak, you or she? So, as Divya Jyoti, there is Jayā Devī. Jaya means victory. And she is the... this side. She is the... She and her husband and Gītā Purī, and many, they are the pillars of the Washington D.C. ashram in Alexandria. Some of you know her, some don’t know, and they manage everything very nicely, perfectly. The Washington ashram has got a very nice atmosphere, and perhaps you give a little report to us. "It’s lovely to be here, nice to see everyone. And, um, it’s just—it’s lovely for us to come to other ashrams because we do feel so isolated, you know, where we are. It’s a long way to see guru brothers and sisters anytime, so, um, but we really love, um, our ashram in Alexandria. It’s very green. There’s lots of shops and restaurants right on the road where the ashram is, and we have a regular group of about 25 or 30 bhaktas. Right now, we have about 175 to 200 students, and we have about 17 classes a week, and have regular satsaṅgs, and it’s just a really lovely atmosphere, and it’s really needed in Washington, because everybody is very stressed and completely caught up in work. People are workaholics in Washington, D.C. That’s all they think about, and it’s a very high-pressure environment. So we find that people are really looking for some way to relax and find peace in their lives. So it’s a really great opportunity to serve Swāmījī in Washington, because it’s really, really needed there. Thank you very much." And how is everybody? They’re good? "Yeah, everybody’s fine. Looking forward to seeing you in September." Okay. I’m looking forward also. September is very soon. Yes. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Welcome to all dear bhaktas of Gurudev. I have been thinking today very much about many things in life. Also, about the beginning of a very beautiful grassroots project. Yes, grassroot project. Why they say this is, it brought, this word "grassroot project" was, the word is founded by Indians. According to the Vāstu Śāstra, when you want or would like to build a house, what you should do and what you should not do. First, you shall find a ground. Of course, without ground, you cannot build still your house in the air. And the ground should have a particular shape. There are two kinds of shapes for your ground and where your entrance should be. The best entrance is when you have an entrance from the north. If not, then from the east. Then it’s okay also in the west, but avoid the entrance from the south. The south is called the empty place. South sucks all the energy. South takes away everything. Therefore, it is said that, South, you should have something solid, a wall or something, the building or the land, the ground. You have different shapes of the land. So you should have your door in that direction of the ground which is a little narrower than the back side of the ground. Then the ground is known as the property, the prosperity, or growing. So it is symbolically said, siṅgha mukha or gau mukha. The front part, siṅgha mukha or the gau mukha. Siṅgha is the lion or tiger. Lion means only eating. It doesn’t give you anything. The lion’s mouth is wider and bigger than the cow’s mouth. So if the front part is wider than the back part of the house, then you will always have problems with income. It will come more, but it will not come out. It’s gone, it’s gone, it’s gone. Cow means one who eats, but also gives you the milk. In this, it’s giving. Your car always takes and takes. Your car doesn’t give you. So, this is the first thing we should try to do. Let’s say that you have a property which is facing towards the south, and there is no option that you can have a door to the left, east, west, or north. Then you may have to leave your land a little more out of your project. It belongs to you. And then turn in such a way that you are entering from the east. Or you are entering from the west, that way you open your door. This we have to observe. Another thing is, then, it’s called the ground-breaking ceremony. Ground-breaking ceremony means the first beginning, the first digging of the foundation. And you cannot just say, "Okay, we begin Monday, alright, hurry home, we do it." We do it. It’s not like that. According to astrology, the ground, the earth, has its principles, and there is also time called "earth is sleeping" and "earth is awakened," in which position and vibration, and in which constellation, is that part of the earth where you are. And sometimes we used to say, you are standing somewhere, and suddenly you get a problem. It means that the time under your feet, the vibration from the earth, was negative, an accident. Also, there is a vibration. So there are many, many things one has to observe. There is one curve on the road between Vienna and Salzburg, and they said that is one place where accidents mostly happen. It is not a very sharp curve, but it’s a wide, very good road. They said mostly at this place, at a particular time of day or night. There are some particular hours, and so many believe that there is a negative radiance coming out. And so on. That particular place, one should be driving carefully. But how should people know? All don’t know, but many elderly people living in that area, they know there is. That place is near, it’s called Milk. Because I have been driving many times, and my driver or the person who was driving said, "Five kilometers here, we should go slowly." Well, anyhow, you have to pray and ask the Mother Earth to give us a place in her lap. This is not only blind belief or fantasy; it is the truth. And now you see very many people are suffering, and this is because we said, "Ah, these are old ideas." I just dig my foundation, make a solid house, and okay. But it is said that either the people who will live inside will not be happy. Constantly, there will be quarreling between husband and wife, quarreling. Or they will not get children, or the children will go in the wrong direction. It is a distraction of the family, and no one would like to have a distraction of the family, but also it can attack you physically, emotionally, mentally, psychically, or in different ways. There are some who will have all the time only problems, problems, problems. Why? So you have to move from that place. It is not easy to change, and it is not nice of you that you go away and vacate the place. The other one will come in and will also have a problem. But there are some ways, perhaps we can change a little bit and bring better harmony, better energy inside that space where you are living. If you compare your body, what nature has designed or God has designed, whatever you believe, something you must believe, that is, your body is created. And if we see how God has given all things in our body in such a particular place, which is not disturbing and functioning very properly. Can you imagine that God gave eyes and nose on this side, and you have to walk that side? Or eyes here, and mouth here, and nose here? And you can’t get that beauty which God has designed. You can put the nose, mouth, and eyes, but it will not get that shape anyhow. So this is called the creation of a Brahmāṇḍa, the creation of a universe. And where you stay in your house, you should not let different kinds of energy come in. I have told a few times in my lectures, and I will tell you now also, maybe you don’t know. And I tell mostly to Indians, when I give the satsaṅg to Indians, because sometimes Europeans don’t like that I am so straight. And I know the Indian mentality must be better, so I can shout at them, whether they like it or not. You will feel that in India I am completely different, speaking different things, because I know where and what. And here I have to be very little bit, so little bit careful. You are all bhaktas. You know me so many years, you know. I know you through and through, and you know me through and through. We have nothing to fight. So you are mine, I am yours, and so I can be angry with you. Nobody will say anything because we know now. But this camera, which is filming me, is going around the whole world, and therefore this news goes to the whole world and to all bhaktas, all who are watching now this webcast around the whole world. I send them many blessings. Much love from our ashram in London, England. Many things are lost. You can come in the front if you have no place to sit. Come, walk, everybody, please. Can you come a little forward? People are waiting outside. So everybody, please pull yourself to the front. Good, very good. So now, if some other comes, there is more place. Many things, humans have lost many things. This modern civilization, this modern society, the modern man has lost many fine feelings. The modern culture developed in different directions. And we have to come back to find the roots of humanity. And the roots of humanity are in those human qualities, spiritualities, and respecting nature. And nature means not only on this planet, but also respecting the different influences of the different planets from our part of the universe. If you go deep in meditation, you will discover many, many different kinds of universes which we still don’t know. But we belong to this, and there is a fixed law or principles for our part of the universe within us. And so, for humans to create a happy life, as well as for themselves and for other creatures. So, there are some principles which we should know and follow. So what I am telling, this little story, but it is not a little, it is very meaningful. Let us say that you are aware of this: that anyone dies in our house, and it is like that, that of course we are living in this mortal world, where birth and death are running parallel. When someone dies, let’s say physically, ātmā never dies, and that means the death came, death or life. Death means the negative energy. We try to move this body as soon as possible, all the time, to take it to the graveyard or like this. Nowadays there is some kind of research work or this and that, they put it in a cold room. Because where the dead body is lying, many negative energies are coming, and such bacteria are developing, which is not good for your health. It is said there that death is dancing, death is celebrating its victory. And so, we carry away. And after the funeral, you have to wash yourself, purify yourself, and clean everything. At home also, put the light, prayer, clean your curtains, clean the room, to remove this negative energy which attacked that one body, doesn’t matter human or your dog or animals. Death doesn’t say if it is human or animal, for death, it doesn’t matter who that is or how one dies. Death is so cruel, for death doesn’t matter how you die; the main thing is that you die. You come home, you wash yourself and everything. There are certain days, prayer for each day, especially we are talking now about the human soul and human connection. Today, there are prayers. And normally, it is said that there are 12 days till this soul is very strongly connected with the family in that house where one died and where the family is. According to the Vedic culture, after twelve days, there is a cutting of one thread. This means that after twelve days, the soul has its free destination or destiny. And there are certain ceremonies, if you believe or not, but it is said by the great seers and saints, it is like that. And some ceremonies which your children have to perform. If you have no children, then your husband or your wife or your relatives. Now, can you imagine, when some family member died, you removed the body as quickly as possible. And then you go to the market and buy the chicken, a dead body, and bring it and store it in your fridge. What would you say about this? Doesn’t matter if it is a goat, a cow, a chicken, or a pig. And therefore, according to this divine law, it is not good to bring any dead bodies, or to have anyone die, in your house and perish in your house. No wonder that there are so many bad energies and quarrels. And now we see, in old age there was no fridge, but now even in the hottest climate you can see the fridge and you can store things. So this is also one part of our life and living, that we should know what we bring in the house. Well, so when you pray, make a ceremony, an earth-breaking ceremony. We have to search for a very great, good constellation. And then, first, you make the ceremony with your shovel; you break the earth and dig the foundation. Facing towards east-north, east-north is the corner of Kubera, according to Vāstu Śāstra. And east-south is a corner of the Agni, which will just consume, just burn it. So also, the corner of that project house which you are making should be the first foundation, and the earth-breaking ceremony should begin from the northeast corner of your map, your plan, what you are making. After you dig the whole foundation, it is okay, but first there. You know, in Europe nowadays you say it, "first ladies." Respect. Very good. I wish that every lady has respect. But this was not only this. In Vedic culture, the first ladies, meaning the first one in this world universe, is matṛ-śakti, the Śakti. The Śakti. Śakti, energy, the mother energy. When the foundation is finished, then there is another ceremony, and then you begin your construction work. Then you have five different stones, and these five stones represent the five elements. And these five stones should also go through the ceremonies. You have to do the pūjā to purify the energy of those stones, symbolically, as these elements. And navagraha, nine planets. So you have these five elements as stones, and navagraha, nine stones. They have to be placed. Now, which graha? Graha means the planet. Which graha should be in which direction? For every direction of the earth, the planets are fixed, and they have their position. There is a strict protocol. You know where your president should sit, and you know where your police inspector should sit. It’s not that the police inspector is now sitting where the president was, and the president comes because you can sit here, sir, now. It’s a strict protocol. So in the law, cosmic law, and between these stones when you place them, you have to place one ghee lamp that represents the light, the life, and the sun, the fire. Fire means Viṣṇu, and where Viṣṇu is, there is Lakṣmī. Lakṣmī means wealth, money. So, first comes this Deepak, the light, and under this particular stone they put something more. Still, I am not finished. It comes, one couple is called Nāg-Nāginī. Nag-Nagini, the serpent, male and female serpent. They make a very small symbol of these two, made out of, if it is best, out of seven different metals, sorry, saptadhātu, or pure silver. Nāga-nāginī, it is a belief that our planet Earth is balanced on the head of the Śeṣanāga, the thousand-headed snake. And it is the Śeṣa Nāga which is balancing our planet perfectly. And if we disturb him in something, or he gets tired and he moves his neck a little, an earthquake is there. So we should not disturb that Nāga, that energy. Now, this Nāga symbolizes, and it is true, and it is placed in a certain constellation; your house will not be affected by an earthquake. Now we see that many, many temples and churches, built in very ancient times, are still there and were not, were not victims or were not destroyed by earthquakes. There somewhere, because there definitely was not this constellation. And there inside you also place, before all others comes, it comes, the Gaṇeśa inside. And Gaṇeśa is the lord of protection, the lord of happiness and everything. And they make Gaṇeśa statues out of one nut they put there, and then they also put there a few roots or branches of the grass, that grass which grows like this, horizontal, and from each knot of that grass come the roots out. And also, the leaves come out. And so, one small root of the grass, within a few weeks or months, it will spread in the whole garden and become green. That means, in Indian language we say, phalo phulo, hara bhara rahe, or sada sukhi rahe. Hara bhara rahe, it should be ever green here. Green means everything, happiness and life, full of life. Phalo. Phalo means that now you should blossom and have fruits. Phalo, phalo. Happy life, have happy children, happy family, happy friends, happy hours, happy life, happy days, happy time. And then they begin to begin the construction. So the word "what" in English they are using now, this great root project is coming from that Vāstu Śāstras and Vedic cultures and so on. Now we are living in such a metropolitan city, and some have a small flat, some have a big flat. No one is building a house now. You will not build. Some are building somewhere, of course. What to do about your flat? What to do about the house where you are going to stay? There is one flat, and the house has an entrance from the south. Well, in that case, also your entrance of your flat, if that is also to the south, then we can do one thing. Part 2: The Power and Practice of Satsaṅg Invite someone knowledgeable in Vāstu Śāstra to adjust your furniture, bed, and other items slightly. Immediately, a different atmosphere will arise. Then, offer prayers according to your belief, in your own language, and afterwards, have a satsaṅg. It is the satsaṅg that will remove all bad energies. Therefore, in one bhajan, Mahāprabhujī said: What a glory, what a beauty of the satsaṅg. Only the fortunate ones have the luck to come to satsaṅg. When the bhajans begin, when the satsaṅg begins, do not go outside to sit, drink tea, and chat with your friends. Doing so means you do not know what satsaṅg is. You do not know in which minutes, in which moment... There is a kind of energy everyone receives, but you are sitting outside. Hari Om. You never know. It is said you do not know two things: when they will come. You do not know when death will come, and secondly, you do not know when the customer will come. Therefore, keep your shop open; do not close it. The whole day there was no customer, and just five minutes before closing time, one customer came and made millions of pounds in business with you. If you had said, "Oh, nobody came, I closed it half an hour before," you would have missed it. So it is. We have to wait and wait and... We must get that situation, that energy, that happiness in our life. You can always have worldly things, and you will always have them. They are nothing. Therefore, satsaṅg: sat means the truth, and saṅg means to be with it. You can also do satsaṅg alone. Think positive, think with love, think about divine powers—this is your own satsaṅg. Repeat your mantra, your prayer; you are doing satsaṅg with yourself. If you think negatively—"I am lost, nobody loves me, I am alone. My telephone didn’t ring all day; nobody called me. What should I do? God, my husband always comes so late"—this kind of thinking means blackmailing yourself. Sometimes it is said that what you think will very soon be realized. Paramahaṁsa Yoganandajī said in one of his preachings: Every thought which goes out of your brain will, sooner or later, come back to you. So why should we think negatively? Even if it is a negative thought, we should not store it in our mind. Fortunate are they who can go to satsaṅg or have positive thinking. Or, when two friends, or three or four people are together, instead of making jokes, do something valuable in your life. Discuss something about beautiful things. What we are doing now is a satsaṅg. What I am telling you is a satsaṅg, inspired within us. I tell you, please believe me: only you know what is going on in your heart. Only you know how many times you did something to be happy, but again it was not what you were expecting. And only your inner self knows your soul. How many births in this universe have you had, and gone through sufferings? Now you are awakened in this human life. Do not waste this human life. Śobhāva satsaṅgī. Mahāprabhujī’s words are the ultimate truth. Read your holy books. Read nice books. Read books by great, knowledgeable persons where you can learn good things. Watch programs on television or the internet that inspire you towards good things. There are many different kinds of programs. Maybe you do not like some; they are not an inspiration for you. There are many things in the world which lead us toward distraction, and very little which guides us toward development. Learning, earning, having children, eating, sleeping—everyone can do that. That was not the aim of this life. I sent you for something, my son, and you come home without anything. You have forgotten what I sent you for. That’s it. So, definitely, God—or the nature—which gave us this human life, had a definite protocol and particular principles for this human life that we should follow. Yes, we are human, we still belong to nature. The life of a tree and our life are not different. We are human; we do have feelings, we do have our weaknesses, we do have our problems. Our major point, our major focus of concentration, is that satsaṅg and to come to God. Therefore, there is one beautiful bhajan from Mahāprabhujī, Holy Gurujī, and that bhajan we will sing. It is a call; Gurujī is saying it. After this: Śrī Dīpā Dayālaya Rājasunālī, Śrī Dīpadayāl, Yājasunālī, Karakirpāmo, Satsaṅgadījo... If you come a little bit more to the front, then many friends came and they have this place. Are you not? Or is there? Yes, you are. From the middle, they should come more forward. Divya Jyoti, are you okay? Go in this room and rest. Okay? Or upstairs, is there a room where she can sleep today? Go and take her there. She need not wake up. Okay, have a good rest. Yes, good night. Eat something. Do you want to eat? Then sleep till tomorrow 8 o’clock. Text, give it to me. I should translate this bhajan for you. I have translated it many times, but today again... or you do not want it? Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai, Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai, Mādhav Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai, Sanātana Dharma Kī Jai. In life, we make many experiences. We try to be happy. We try to achieve something. We try to do something, and we would like to be comfortable and happy. Our purpose in this life is different from what we are doing. You can go in the office and draw some picture for me, okay? Thank you. Yes, I would like you to draw a picture. Thank you. After doing this and that, we still do not know if we would like to do this. We change our attitude, our mind, our feelings, our aim. But suddenly one day we will realize: that was not the aim of my life, that was not the purpose of my life, and that is not what I am searching for. Lucky are they who have these tendencies from birth, or this kind of intuition, or this kind of feeling. And blessed are they who can have the shelter of the Satgurudev. To meet a Satgurudev is one of the greatest lucks or happinesses, but to meet the Master is not everything. To get something from him is what is important. Kṛpādṛṣṭi, a kind look. Dayādṛṣṭi, full of mercy. And constantly. Let’s say, once it will rain, then it does not rain for three years. All the seeds that sprouted, the grass that began to grow, is gone. We need constantly, at the right time, the rain to come so the plants and grass remain alive. Similarly, we need the memory of the Gurudev, the presence of the Gurudev, the satsaṅg of the Gurudev, a kind attention or the blessing of the Gurudev, and the guidance of the Gurudev. This cannot come to you unless you realize this. A thirsty one can get many things, but not that which can quench the thirst. When the water comes, one knows what it is and will drink. We do get many things, good and bad, in this world, but that divine mercy, love, karuṇā, prema, karuṇā nidhāna, the bestowal of mercy... For many, many years, our dear Gurujī, holy Gurujī, served our dear Mahāprabhujī. As Gurujī came to Mā Prabhujī also at a very young age, I met many people. I met many swāmīs and sādhus. They are great, very good. But such a disciplined, practicing, and praying person, I have met very rarely. I would say, one who realized he is the master. I did not meet someone. Yes, they said we have a master. The master’s picture is hanging on one side, and some other stone statues there somewhere, praying to this stone, this, that. Gurujī said, "Ek saje sab saje, sab saje sab jai." If you do one thing, you will achieve everything. And when you try to achieve everything, you will lose everything. So, to understand, to feel, to realize—this is not an easy job. Often we have doubts in the Master, and Gurujī was angry, and I said, "Yes." So you read about Gurujī many things in his book. The day he met Mahāprabhujī, he knew that he is the one for whom I was searching, and with whom I was together for many, many lives. I found. Lost and found. Happy and found. No more search. Even someone will do research on your consciousness and thought. Yes, in your longing, in your consciousness, in your visions, in your each breath and in your each blood cell, there is purity, pure. Only one Gurudev, that’s it. Though it is so much that Gurujī was constantly one with Mahāprabhujī and lifelong practicing, practicing mantras. Holy Gurujī had a Rudrākṣa, so big a Rudrākṣa Mālā, until the end of his life, practicing, practicing. All this was, how to say, polished, remained small, like this wood. Can you imagine? How many billion times his fingers went over it, repeating the mantra of Mahāprabhujī’s name. This bhajan, when only Gurujī wrote it—this bhajan is from about 1975, or 1995, or actually last century. At that time, Gurujī was completely one with Mahāprabhujī’s divine light. The body is body, of course: hunger, thirst, eating, sleeping, death, illness, everything. But within him was only that light, the flame. Though he was so far, one with Mahāprabhujī, and any time Gurujī, when he slept, on closed eyes, he said, "I dream from Mahāprabhujī." Mahāprabhujī was coming, Mahāprabhujī was going, he told this, he said this, he told, "How am I this?" You see, Mahāprabhujī does not tell me, but he told Gurujī how I am doing, what I am doing. So when Gurujī said that Mahāprabhujī told how you are doing, I was sweating. And looking to Mahāprabhujī, I hope you did not say something that Gurujī will become angry. For me also, I can tell you a very little glimpse of my experiences. Otherwise, you will read, "May I will dictate one day or write biography." At present, everything is a "-graphy," so we are searching for the bio. From very childhood, my interest was only towards spirituality. When my father passed away, after some months, Gurujī came to visit my mother to pay his condolences, and I saw him for the first time in my life. I had a picture, we had a picture at home, black and white, with the beard. When I was small, I thought I would clean it with water, you know, a black and white picture. I took it with the water and... cleaned it as a beard was, and the face all became white. But when I saw Gurujī coming, it was such a divine flame went into my soul, and I said, "Yes, that’s what I want. That’s all I will tell. Further, I will not tell, yes." And that is forever and ever penetrated through. True and true, that’s it. There was no more place for anyone inside, like Horī Gurujī had for Mahāprabhujī. So though Horī Gurujī had so many experiences, divine light, realizations, everything, still he is praying to Mā Prabhujī. That’s it. And disciples like us, when we have a little realization, we think we do not need a master anymore. "I am the master." Then how long will you be a master? Such a master is called a self-made master. We call a crow sitting on the peak of the temple and smiling. Why? Because people are praying in the temple, the crow thinks they are all praying to me. But they are not praying to you, my dear. They pray to the God of the temple. The last second of your life, you can fall through. I tell you one story, a practical story. You do not know this, what I will tell you, because you did not experience this, never experienced. I experienced this because I am coming from that part of India which is desert and water, a lake of water. Now, there are many technologies, and we have drilled holes in the earth, what we call tube wells. So we have to be the tube, the whale’s water-sucking. But before 45 years, 40 years, 50 years, we had to dig a water well, which was very expensive, very hard, and the water was very deep. But people managed in every village; at least they had one well. The whole village people could manage, and if they had luck, there’s water. Okay, we had water 30 meters deep, 20 meters deep, 10 meters deep, or 40 meters deep, depending on the area. Some places, 100 meters deep. And now, from this water well, you... We have to get water out there. There were no engines, nothing, no motors, so we had to go with the water pot on the head. The women were carrying on the head, and men were carrying mostly on the shoulders. So, my disciples sometimes massage me and say, "Your muscles, Swāmījī, are so strong, like a bodybuilder’s." Now you know the secret of my muscles. Yes, how many kilos? Though I was small, children had to survive. So, 10-meter deep water means we must have about a 12-meter long rope. And this rope was tied to one bucket, an iron bucket. Plastic came now, unfortunately, in these last three decades, maximum four decades. So you tie this bucket with the rope, and you let the bucket go deep—10 meters—and when it makes noise, then we know there’s water, and move it till the bucket fills, and then bring the bucket up. If you are too near, then the bucket hits the walls of the well until it comes up; bucket up, there is no more water. So you have to be concentrated and carry it like this. That was our Sarabhīdāsana, no? From where did Swāmījī get this Sarabhīdāsana, no? Now, you know, sometimes it happened, not only with me, but with many, that nine meters came out and on the last meter the rope broke. What happened? The bucket fell. You cannot go deep in; there’s no ladder. There are no possibilities to... they did not make any steps to avoid that people will not go in and bathe. It’s drinking water for the whole village. Now, nothing. Come home empty. Then we had to borrow in the village; someone had a kind of hook that we call the cat, like a cat, and with the other rope to search inside where it is. And sometimes we caught it again, and then came out. The bucket came out nine, ten, half a meter, and somehow it lost, fell again in. That is an example of my satsaṅg, that whole life we are very dedicated, very devoted, and we do everything. In the last minutes, you make some problems, and you fall deep in that. So it does not matter if it’s you or me. Do not think that Swāmījī is now everywhere above and he does not need. No, I must also have still hooked my bucket and rope in such a hand, strong, so it does not go out. That’s a lifelong job, even if you are an enlightened soul. And? Okay, enlightened. We are enlightened. Even if you have some kind of siddhis, you are levitating. Okay, what is that? My aeroplane can also levitate. A balloon can also levitate. What is that? This is not something extraordinary. Or even you can walk on the water. Every bird can do it. Different. The boat is on, floating on it. Until the last breath of your life, you have to be that one who is completely surrendered, dedicated. That’s all. All. Many, many techniques you can do, but nothing can be compared with your love, devotion, bhakti. And so, how do you lose this? Though you have so many siddhis and so many energies and divine qualities: bad society, bad words, and bad blackmailing. Someone tells you one negative word, and your whole prepared nice balloon is blasted because it’s popped up by one tiny needle, like this. And so, after years and years and years of confidential and devotional work done, a bacteria enters in. Cholera or malaria or something, who knows what. Therefore, God protect us from this. So many years ago, though Mahāprabhujī was with Holī Gurujī, after that he was with Holī Gurujī, and all the time Holī Gurujī’s name was on his tongue, he was named Mahāprabhujī. Even on his car door he wrote, "Dīpa Nayan Bhagavān kī Jai bolo," phir darvājā kholo. First, say, "Dīpa Nayan Bhagavān kī Jai," and then open the door. Mahāprabhujī said, "O merciful Mahāprabhudeep, please listen to my prayers, listen to my request. Be merciful and bless me with satsaṅg." Still, he is searching for satsaṅg. He himself is a satsaṅg, but still, some negative insight can come. Kushanga se prabhu mohi bachavo, dusta ar durjan dur rakhi. Jo, please protect me from kushanga and keep all these bad-minded people and people who have bad intention away from me, please. That’s it. It’s not that you will protect yourself. The destiny, and there are some other divine powers which are moving there, or negative powers. Only Guru Kṛpā can protect us from this dust or Durjan, who can pull you to cushions. You love the rock, and you embrace the rock, and fall in the water. The rock will also go under, down, and will take you also down. Hari Om Tarsat. So I hope and I pray that you will not meet in your life such a rock which will take you to the bottom and finish studying. Brahmābhyāsa vairāgya akhaṇḍa rahe. Brahmābhyāsa means always thinking of the Brahman, the Supreme, and vairāgya, detachment. Akhaṇḍa rahe, unbreakable. There should be no gap in my thoughts where there is no Brahma-abhyāsa and no vairāgya. On the day when your vairāgya stops for a while, chick, comes the negative energy inside. There is a little earthquake and a crack in the walls. When the crack in the wall is there, repairing is repairing. It is a crack, so no gap in Brahma-abhyāsa, bhakti, jñāna, vairāgya. Ye sādhanā mera avichal ki jo. Please make my practice of vairāgya and Brahma-abhyāsa, akhaṇḍa, avichala. Chal means movement, and avichal means unmovable, unshakeable. My faith should not have any doubts, unshakable. Viśva-dīpa jyoti ghaṭme pragyaṭ rahe. The light of the universe, the flame of the universe, should always be in my heart, shining in my heart. Bharam andhera mera dur kardi jo, and my doubts, the ignorance of my doubts, should be removed forever. Saguṇa Brahma parama sukharāsi. O Mahāprabhujī, you appear from nirguṇa to saguṇa. You are the saguṇa brahmā. Therefore, like Kālī Gurujī is often the one also repeating mantra, "Oṁ so’haṁ saguṇa brahmā, śrī dīpā paripūraṇa nārāyaṇa nāma." So Mahāprabhujī was the incarnation of the Brahman. Holy Gurujī did not say only this, your body, but with his body, for Gurujī was that Brahman self, the Mahāprabhujī self. Saguṇa Brahma, Param Sukha Rāśi, and eternal happiness, eternal happiness. Mere naino me naat vasi jo, Lord, have your seat in my eyeballs. Wherever I look, I see you. I see through you the world, that’s it. I see through my Gurudev the world. Gurujī said, "Swaso par swas." Each breath, inhalation and exhalation, I have only the repetition of your name. Swaso swas apkā hi sumaraṇ, mal vikṣepa āvaraṇ har lejo. Please remove mal, vikṣepa, and āvaraṇa. Mal is impurity, vikṣepa is disturbances, and āvaraṇa is the ignorance. My concentration, my imagination, my meditation, all the time should be on your holy lotus feet. Avichal, akhaṇḍ, unmovable. Dhyāna aṭal rahe, dhyāna aṭal rahe śubh carṇo meṁ, in your holy feet. Fits. And every second, like what we call pal, which means in Hindi, you close your eyes and open, please. Pal pal prem mera adhik badī jo. Every time when my eyelids move, my love should increase to thee, O my Lord. So can you imagine? On the first day when Gurujī met Mā Prabhujī, till this time, how much love became strong and stronger for him, but still it was not enough. From love, you cannot have enough. Love you cannot measure with the kilometre or the kilograms or the centimetres. That is that divine wisdom. Āpke dāsan ke dāsa hoye. If you do not accept me, then let me be the servant of your servant. Make me the bhakta of your bhakta. Hoi Prasāṇa-sevā merī lījo. Please, can you accept my service? If you do not accept directly, then let me serve your bhakta. And through serving your bhakta, please accept my service. Karma yoga, no? Not only of coming always and sitting in the front. Very important VIP. Always go back, serve, ask people, "Do you want something to eat? Do you want something to drink?" How are you? Give them a place. Please go first, sit in the front. People came from America. They saw Swāmījī, I do not know when, last time. Did someone say, "Please come sit in the front today with Swāmījī"? Because we are very selfish. We are celebrating the feast. That’s the selfish. That’s the East. Give. That means to give. Give chance. Give attention. Give them health. Give them water. Give them food. No? And if not good, then give them anger. And if that does not function, then give them something like this: "Come, sit down." Āpke dāsan ke dāsam hove, hoye prasanna merī sevā lījo. Merciful Lord, be happy and accept this my service through serving your bhakti or your devotees. Nit nit sapne mein āp padāro, aur sab sapna nivṛt karālo. Every day, please, whenever I sleep, come in my dream. When I am awakened, I am always thinking of you and aware. But when I am sleeping, perhaps, then I am not. A little distance. So my sleep will not be empty sleep. You come. Nita nita sapne mein aap padharo. Please, Mahāprabhujī, come in my dream every day. Aur rest other kind of dreams, remove it. Because many things you do in the dream also, and many frightening things come. Many horrible, horror dreams come, you know. You never know which kind of dream you have. And if there is only Mā Prabhujī, then everything is happy, and peaceful, and beautiful. Pala pala Prabhujī, āpko pukāru. Naai. Śraddhā, viśvās, mera kām nahīṁ hove. Śraddhā, confidence. Viśvaś, belief. My belief, my confidence should never decrease. Din, please listen to the request of your meek disciple, helpless and meek one, requesting you, O Mahāprabhujī Lord. O giver, merciful Mahāprabhujī, I pray to thee. Please do not disappoint your servant. I am asking you, Mahāprabhujī, for this. Do not disappoint me. Śrī Mādhavānanda Maṅge Caraṇakī Bhakti. Gurujī said his name himself. I do not ask for anything. No money, no this, no, no, no power, no siddhi, no realization, nothing. Only one. Śrī Mādhavānanda Jī Maṅge Caraṇakī Bhakti. Only my devotion, adoration to thy holy lotus feet, O Mahāprabhujī. Janam janam hari dāsa rakhi jo, that every life, if I have next life, let me be your servant. Dīpa dayāla ārāja suna lījo. That’s called the call of the soul, that longing for the divine. Be longing for belonging to that divine which all creatures are longing for, that deep nine, Bhagavad-gītā. Mother Kṛṣṇa, Bhagavad-gītā, they wish for Mahādeva, Sanātana Dharma. Key now, we will have prayer. So big lights off. All bhaktas around the world, wish you all the best, and also many, many blessings of... Mahāprabhujī, you were lucky today that you could be with us in the satsaṅg. And I wish you a very nice evening, or good morning in Australia, and good evening in Africa and everywhere. God bless you. Now we will have prayer. If you have time, you can also go and make a prayer. Dīpa Nayan Bhagavān Kī...
