Shiva And Shakti
Recorded on: 2 Sep 2012
Satsang from Vienna.
In the Hindu tradition it is believed that the whole universe is being created by two fundamental forces which are permanently in a perfect, indestructible union. These forces or universal aspects are known as Shiva and Shakti. Shiva is the symbol of the masculine, passive, transcendent, eternal principle and Shakti as the opposite symbol of the feminine, active, immanent and temporal principle and both are existing within each and every being as the inner self. The spiritual and religious texts of the puranas are usually written in the form of stories. Out of this, Swamiji tells popular episodes and stories of Shiva and Shakti.
