Chanting AUM

The resonance of Nāda is the supreme, eternal Parabrahma. Chanting Auṁ spreads this resonance through the three worlds and begins the opening of the third eye. This single power of Oṁ permeates everything: body, mind, consciousness, and time. Sit straight, close your eyes, and be aware of your presence. Feel every cell and hair as energy moves. Chant Auṁ starting from the navel lotus, moving to the throat lotus, and finally the head lotus, the Brahmarandhra. This vibration travels through the Bankanāl tunnel, purifying illnesses and harmonizing the individual soul with Brahman. Concentrate on the breath and feel the Prāṇa circulating. Chant Oṁ several times daily to purify the body. This meditation unites every soul, creating peace, harmony, and love. The Nāda leads the meditation to Brahmaloka. Feel the positive energy flow after chanting. Visualize the Guru in the endless inner space, Śūnyākāśa, which is Brahman.

The resonance, Nāda, represents Parabrahma. Parabrahma is eternal and supreme. There are three similar words: one is Brāhmaṇa, the learned one; Brahmā is the creator in the Satyayuga, which begins the cycle of four yugas—Satyayuga, Tretā, Dvāpara, and Kaliyuga. When one cycle is completed, a new Brahmaloka begins, and a new Brahmā arrives. Brahman, however, is the absolute truth and reality: Brahma satyaṁ, jagan mithyā. It is said Brahman is the truth, and this world is changeable. When we chant Auṁ, this resonance spreads into the three worlds—past, present, and future, known as Triloka. From there begins the opening of the third eye. One becomes, or is said to be, Trikāla Darśī, the seer of the three times. We are far from that, but who knows—it may happen to one or all of us. Yesterday, there was talk of the Vikṣepas, the various qualities that must be purified. There is only one power: that resonance, that sound, which is Oṁ. It permeates everything—our body, mind, consciousness, and our past, present, and future. So, prepare yourself. Sit a little straight. There is a concept called Bankanāl, which is like a tunnel; we will discuss it when we come to Kriyā. Bankanāl is a very high technique of Kriyā or Yoga. There is still much for us to know. Sit in your meditation posture and close your eyes. Of course, your mālā mantra should be repeated at all times. From time to time, if a child speaks or makes noise, it is very good—it is training for us. There is a very nice poem and a story Gurujī told about a thirsty horse. You may or may not know it. So, it is beneficial if you hear a child speaking. Nāda Rūpa Parabrahma—as said in the Vedas, "Nāda Rūpa Parabrahma, Nāda Rūpa Parabrahma." Take your mālā, sit straight, and close your eyes. Be aware of your being here in this hall. Be aware of your presence. Feel your whole body from the toes to the top of the head, and from the top of the head to the toes. Try to feel each and every cell of your body. Feel each and every hair through which energy is moving. During Auṁ chanting, the resonance will vibrate through the Bankanāl, and you will experience lightning. Do you know from where we begin to chant Auṁ? It is from Nābhi Kamala, Kaṇṭha Kamala, and Śāstra Kamala. Auṁ starts in the Nābhi Kamala (the navel lotus), then the Kāṇṭhi Kamala (the throat lotus), and the Śāstra Kamala (the head lotus), also called Brahmarandhra. This can only be opened when you go through the Bankanāl. Now, concentrate on your breath. Know that you are inhaling and exhaling. This preparation—changing the home, chanting Auṁ, and finding this vibration throughout the whole body—heals many illnesses. Breath is Prāṇa. Feel the Prāṇa circulating and penetrating your whole body: the physical, mental, and subtle bodies. Imagine that the Ātmā is one, though the soul appears different. Feel the Ātmā of everyone in this hall. How many are sitting here? All who are sitting, thousands of them—their souls are harmonizing into oneness, and the Ātmā is uniting with Brahman. Any disease you have will be purified, making you healthy again. Several times a day, you can chant Oṁ in this way. That resonance will purify all impurities in the body, meaning the illnesses. Just as you have meals at a particular time, fix a time and chant Oṁ several times each day. We will now chant Oṁ. This involves the Nābhi Kamala, Kaṇṭha Kamala, and Brahmarandhra. The chanting of that resonance from the individual soul—what we did now—was from one Ātmā. It means we will chant continuously. Everyone has a different capacity for chanting. This chanting from the individual Jīvātmā will unite and create a beautiful, pure energy. Take a deep inhale and continue to chant Oṁ, everyone. Let go so your resonance, loud, creates a beautiful vibration in the whole hall. Call thyself. Feel that vibration and light—sound and light—within your body and within your astral body. Feel the purification. One day we shall unite each and every cell of the body and each and every entity’s soul to create peace, harmony, and love. Ātmā soi Paramātmā—every Ātmā is the Supreme, the Paramātmā. Each and every entity is myself. This technique of meditation in yoga and daily life will create and bring peace to the world. The third level of chanting, which we did many times, everyone should begin after me. We see each and every Jīvātmā in the oneness of our Ātmā. O Śūnyākāśa—Śūnyākāśa is in you. Those visions you see now with closed eyes begin from the eyebrows, the Ājñā Cakra, the space behind the forehead wall. It vibrates in your whole brain. It is the Nāda that leads the meditation. Meditation is the way to Brahmaloka. The grace of the Gurudeva, Guru Kṛpā, the mantra, the Bīja Mantra Oṁ, and that meditation—your awareness in the Śūnyākāśa. That Śūnyākāśa is Ananta, endless space, Brahman. Feel your whole body. Once more, become aware of your being here in this hall. Go through your intelligence to see how much positive stream is flowing through your brain after this chanting of Oṁ. Feel, check your thoughts. Feel how much positive energy flows through your thoughts now after intoning the mantra Oṁ. Become extroverted. Visualize Gurudeva in your Śūnyākāśa, with all the bodies. Pay your Praṇāma, your salutation. Alakh Purīdhī Siddha Pīṭha. Take a deep inhale and offer your Praṇāma with closed eyes upon exhalation. Inhale, and with exhalation, surrender. Deep inhale and exhale. Pay your salutation and devotion. Three times we will chant Auṁ together. Rub your palms. Grab your palms and place them on your face. Open your eyes, bend forward, place your hands on the ground, and rest your forehead on the ground. Feel the circulation towards the head, all the five Jñānendriyas. Slowly, raise your head up again. Hari Oṁ. Siddhi Pranāvagwa.
