The Radiation of Holy Places

A pilgrimage is a journey of the heart to purify oneself at a holy place. I have been here for three months, observing the great atmosphere and disciplined bhaktas. We welcome you to this beautiful day at our āśram. Many came from various countries, all respectful and healthy. Our programs and satsaṅgs were successful, with space for hundreds while maintaining distance. I feel great devotion and recall our pilgrimage to the Himalayas. We traveled with hearts full of longing to step on India's holy soil, to see the Gaṅgā, which is more than a river—it is a mother. We journeyed to Badrinath and toward Alakpurījī's cave, where the terrain was harsh but the bhaktas' feeling was pure love and unity, beyond comfort or facility. The essence is bhakti—devotion is all one needs, not material wealth. We ask our Gurudev to be with us as we make our prayer.

"One who goes to the holy place... they are going from the heart, and they are making their heart pure."

"Dear Gurudev, give me only devotion... Money is nothing, money goes out of the hands, it will come again, but in the heart... I need the bhakti."

I have been here for three months, observing everything: the atmosphere in the āśram, which is very great, each and every tree, each and every plant, and all the many, many places which we like very much. All the bhaktas who came here were very respectful; they were practicing and they all had very good discipline. So, this is the day which is the most beautiful day for us all, and we welcome you all here. We are here in our house, our āśram, our meditation centers, and all people are very disciplined here. I am very happy; all my bhaktas are coming from Croatia. I was looking forward to them, and some of you have been already, and you came again. I'm always thinking to come two or three times. Really, I want to go, but again, this situation is not good. The situation means I hear about these effects in the body, and what we call this corona. I was coming, but suddenly the whole of Croatia closed everything. And it's nice; it is the government—thanks to the government of Croatia—that they try to make all balance, everything. In our programs here, our sādhanās, and what we call the satsaṅg, everything that we did here, whatever we did, it was a satsaṅg, and people were very disciplined here. In this, I am so happy to see all our Croatian Bhaktas. I have very much feeling devotion to Croatia, and I am sure that you also were looking forward to coming to Holy Guru Mahāprabhujī's āśram here. Thanks to all our organizers here, and also the cook in our āśram, very sāttvic, very tasteful. People were very happy this time that the meal was perfect. And we know one thing: we are very lucky. How many rooms and halls we have. We have three halls in this area, then we have two on the other side. And there is little for the children, also enough places. And then there are so many rooms, even I cannot count. And everything is very clean and very good. In these three months, I am here. Our people came from Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, etc., Croatians, Slovaks, Czechs, Austrians, Germans, London, many, many others. And they all were very clean. Clean means they were not, no, any infection from this disease. Everyone was very respected here, and they were very happy, very happy. Our friends of the Czech Republic made such an arrangement here, so we had the programs in the big hall, the second hall, the third hall, the fourth hall, and the fifth hall, always. And thanks to Mahāprabhujī, we had very nice time; there was not too much rain, so we could all sit in a big field. There could be about 300–400 people there, and everyone was at a distance of one and a half meters. So it was, so many looking like this when the Holy Gurujī came on Guru Pūrṇimā once, and how all was full of the bhaktas. You came back again here, many, and I bless you in the name of our Mahāprabhujī, Holy Gurujī, Dev Pūrṇimā. I give you blessings on this evening, and tomorrow, and the after‑tomorrows which we have. We will have a beautiful time and satsaṅgs. Definitely, you have got some instructions. What is the program? Morning, at lunch, rest, satsaṅg, lunch, etc., the whole day it will be nice. And I'm thinking perhaps Sunday or tomorrow we should walk, or tomorrow, if you all like, we walk to the forest of the Strelkis. Very good. Then tomorrow, after breakfast, we go. And let us go slowly, distance, slowly, slowly. Whoever is quicker, then you can go. Take a little water with you. If you have somebody with diabetes, put the sugar with you. Take something, some fruits, and this. And in the forest, there is so much fruit there, so you can have that. But one thing: we should walk on the road or somewhere, but not in the farmer's land. And there, on the road and on the farms, they have some kind of fruits. And that we should not take. What do they call the svečkin? What is that? So, they are making, they are drinking something, you know, so please, we should not take, otherwise people will come and tell us. So, this is very important: what we are doing and we are not. Here, when you step into this area, and that you could, I was feeling that already, Baba, about five kilometers or more. There were the feelings. And you definitely were also feeling it. So it is said that one who goes to the holy place, it doesn't matter which religion, which god, which temple, those who are going there, they are going from the heart, and they are making their heart pure. Some tourists go, that is different, but the Bhaktas, they are going, like we have when we went to the Himalaya, to Alagpurījī, and that at Alagpurījī, when we went step by step, we—it began from Europe: Croatians, Slovakians, Hungarians, etc. Many, and how happy we were. We were going to the airport, and there we were all immediately feeling we want to go to our paramparās, Gurudevs, Alagpurījīs. We were in the aeroplane, and we were thinking, "When will we get out of the aeroplane so we can step on the holy country, India?" We are not talking about the people; people are also everywhere good, but I am talking about the soil, and the soil of India is completely different. And we started to Rishikesh, the whole way, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and it is something I have never seen anywhere, like in Rishikesh, Haridwar, etc. People are coming from different parts of the world to see the Gaṅgā āratī. Many of you have been there, hands up please, yes, so you have seen the Gaṅgā, yes, great and great, the feeling of the people. And that is not water, and this is not a river. They call the mother Gaṅgā. Yes. And this Gaṅgā is like a mother's water and milk. And the mother controls love, peace, everything. We are filling with the whole of our heart, but still we are going where we are going. And we are going one day, two days. And this is, I'm telling you, the feeling of the bhaktas. That's called feelings, sādhanā, etc., and we are going further and further. I will achieve, I will come there. We come to Badrinath, and we saw already from there the Alaknanda River, which we call the Gaṅgā, and both rivers together, three. But the real Gaṅgā is coming, and the Alaknanda. And these two together remain. Then it becomes the real Gaṅgā. And that is the Prayāg. And Prayāg is there, and Prayāg is also here. And there is also the river. Therefore, everywhere is something great. We go further, we go further all the time. We are driving, and everyone is looking, "Himalaya, Himalaya, yes?" Getting narrow and 100 meters deep or more, the river is flowing, and there's a rock, and here's the way. So, everyone is thinking, "Mahāprabhujī, Ādipūjī, yes, yes," and suddenly the driver stops like this, and we say, "Oh, God." But we have within us our feelings. We are going, we are going, we are going. Badrīnāth, beautiful Gaṅgā, Alaknandā. For you, hot water, cold water, 40 degrees, 42 degrees hot water, you can make your coffee, you can make your coffee. And if you go step on a little bit, yes, and there is, how nice. One side is a chamber for the females, another for the males. There are millions of people going there per year. And we also went to Badrinath, Bhagavān. Then we went further. You will see today the Bhīma. Today you will see the Bhīma. And where we were walking on the Bhīma, there was a stone, big. And then the five Pāṇḍavas and the Pāṇḍavas' wife, Draupadī, and she left her body there. Then, before, till Alakpurījī's, they are coming, the four brothers also left. And then comes Alakpurījī's Gufā. And there, the Pandava, he goes there, Yudhiṣṭhira. And there, you know the story completely. But there are seven steps to come to the Glacier's up, which is about nearly two thousand meters high. So, there are many ways you can walk. These are still there, the steps are there, you can go there, but you cannot. This building. So you grow like this, like this, one step, then one. How high? It's very hard. And there is Devapurījī's gufā. Lucky are they from you here. They went to Devpurījī's, and there they were tired, but when they saw that cave of Devpurījī's, all our bhaktas had tears coming. Devpurījī's very cold, snow, and these caves, many times the rocks fall down. I don't know how long Devpurījī was there, what he was eating, or how he lived. It is said that Devpurījī could go through the rock. Yes, like we have here, a tunnel. And Alagpurījī, we are there, where Alagpurījī gave visions to many, many people. Dr. Shanti, she had also her visions, and myself also, but I want to say this: we are going from Europe, and we had a feeling in the heart, "I want, I will go, I will get blessings, I will get blessings." We took our holidays, we took out the store, the money, everything, but when we saw the cave of Alak Purīḍā, there was, we were lost. We were not we, we were ourself Alagpurījī. That's what we became, that energy, those feelings. And we came, everyone, there are rocks everywhere, where they had some kind of tent for sleeping, here is a stone, that side is stone. We were more than three hundred people. 300 people is like a Badrināth, how many is it? So it was all bhaktas, all bhaktas, and no one was ever afraid. But they are going down of facilities, very good, did they? But those who had it in their heart, it doesn't matter, cold or hot. No bad, good, or nothing, everything doesn't matter. Sometimes two, three in one tent. But we were like when a child is born and we wash this child nicely inside, so it's like that. This is the bhāva. Bhāva means feeling. Feeling means love. Love means purity. Don't talk about this is a good person and this is not a good person, no. All are one. So in many holy places also, they go to one church, a beautiful church. People go there, they bow down, everything. So all different religions have feelings. And when we go back, we see the river, many, many, the rocks are higher and down and this. We are full of that feeling, love. That means bhakti. There is one bhajan. It said to Gurudev, Gurudev, please, give me only devotion. Dhan means, give me money or something, whatever, you know. And dear Gurudev, give me only devotion. Dhan. Daan means, yes, Bhagatiro Dandata. Dada means Gurudev, Bhagatiro Dandata, give me this please, give me bhakti, nothing else. Money is nothing, money goes out of the hands, it will come again, but in the heart, what is that? I need the bhakti, bhakti rudan. Data Dījī Kaume, beautiful, beautiful bhajan. So I am welcoming you again that my energy went so much. And it came so much in, so it is like a, like a... that kind of water, what do we call that water? No, no, no. Waterfall? Yeah, very water up and down and water, okay. Rapids? Yeah, okay, any house. So, this is, then people are going in the Himalaya or something, rivers, you know. The crafting they are doing, only it should go from stone to stone, water, you know, it's like rapids. Therefore, we have to say to Gurudev, and we ask Gurudev, please be with us, and we are your bhaktas, we are children, we make the prayer. Therefore, we make the prayer: Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jai, Devādhī Dev, Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai, Satguru Svāmī Mahādvāna Jī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Kālakapurī Jī Mahādeva Kī Jai, Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī Jai.
