The greatest treasure is the name of God, which brings liberation and joy. The practices of Yoga in Daily Life are the best for holistic health. Attending a seminar means being in continuous spiritual communion and experiencing the living presence of the teacher. In this age, the primary duty is to help others recognize the one universal God, respecting all names and forms. The most valuable donation is introducing someone to God's name, which builds a spiritual account for future lives. A harmonious marriage functions as two wings of one bird, with the wife often serving as the guiding cultural force. Spiritual wealth, earned through repeating the divine name, is the only possession that endures.

"I got the treasure of God's name."

"In that house where there is no devotion to God... that house is just like a graveyard."

All the segments, all the physical practices, are in fact the best for mental, physical, and spiritual health. All those methods are incorporated in Yoga in Daily Life. It is the best for physical, psychic, and mental health. Swāmījī has given us everything, all the knowledge, and each of us, according to our capabilities, can work on ourselves in the best possible way. Swāmījī’s work in the world is priceless. We are all blessed, and if there is a word beyond blessing, that is the word that can describe our happiness that we can be with Swāmijī. I can say, "Thank you, Swāmijī." I will speak, Sadhvī Sāvitrī. Five minutes. What does it mean for us to be in a seminar? Sadhvī Sāvitrī will now talk about what it means for us to be in a seminar. Praṇām Gurudev, dear brothers and sisters. Dear brothers and sisters, suddenly I have this duty to say something about what it means for us to be in a seminar, and I think that this is one of the most important things in our life. Normally, Swāmijī says that the most important thing is to come to satsaṅg. But anyhow, we are still not so developed that we can have satsaṅg anywhere. So, to come to a seminar means that every second, every hard breathing, we are in satsaṅg. To be in the seminar means that we have finally, after some period—it depends on our time and, of course, financial situation—again to see our Gurudev alive, to have his darśan. Being at the seminar also means, after some time and depending on our financial situation, to see our teacher again, to have darśan here, alive. At the seminar, we have our yoga centers, we have our ashrams, we have our picture of our paramparā, but anyhow, it is completely different when we can really be and see it. We can feel this nearness and darśan alive, and Guruvākya in a live way. Again, we can read the books, we can hear the videos or tapes or whatever, but to be alive together and see first Gurudev and then, of course, our big, big family, this is really, really big, big happiness. This is like being in some other world. We can also listen to his words in the newspapers and with the help of television, but to be here, to hear his words live and, of course, to see all of you, to see our great yoga family, that is something invaluable and beautiful. And of course, normally, everyone for us wishes to be at the seminars as much as possible, to have as much darśan as possible, and to meet our brothers and sisters. So thank you for the word. Praṇām Gurudev and to you all. We are waiting for a cordless phone. Give it to Josef Gahl. Remain there where you are. Our dear Josef is one through whom yoga in daily life in Slovenia begins to develop. The Joseph, the Vāsiṣṭha, Narabda, and our Zdenka, but the leading power was Joseph. And for entire Yugoslavia, I would say the credit goes to our Divya Purī from Novi Sad. She is not here, and Svāmī Chidānanda. You know all of them. So it is said, what is the best you can give, or what is the best ceremony, or best practice? We call it dāna. Dāna means donation. Or yajña. In Satyuga time, the yajñas were very powerful. Tapasyā, Karma Yoga, and now in Kali Yuga, it is Bhakti Yoga. So, the best donation you can give, the best help I would say you can give, or the best yajña, it’s called nāmadāna. Nāmadāna means giving someone or introducing someone to the name of God. Nāmadāna means giving someone or introducing someone with God’s name, in such a way that it plants in your heart... For that the human is born, to get self-realization. There is no richness in this world greater than having the name of God. It’s called Rāmdhānā. Mīrā, a great saint from Rajasthan, said in one of the bhajans: I got the treasure of God’s name. Payo jī havne Rām Ratan Dhan Payo. I got the treasure of God’s name. Kayo no kute coran lute, din din badat sevayo. You can utilize as much as you like. She is saying "eating," but it means you can use; it will never end. And no thief can steal. Day by day, it is increasing. I got the treasure of God’s name. So, the biggest treasure which makes us happy, safe, and liberates us is the name of God. Doesn’t matter which God’s name. God is known as Benamī. It means he has no name. God is known as Nirākāra. He has no form. But we gave the name God. We gave the name according to our culture, tradition, when there was some holy incarnation. That is for us like a God, and we say this is a God. God cannot be described just with little things. God is the entire universe. So any incarnation, for us, we put in limitation. But the entire universal energy is concentrated on that particular incarnation. That’s what holy Gurujī used to say: one in all, and all in one. So, it’s good according to our situation, this and Carl, the God which you believe is good. But who are we to criticize another god? If you are intolerant to other religions or other gods, then you are making a great mistake. You didn’t understand religion. You didn’t understand God. Every child will say, "My mother is the best mother." So, which mother is not the best mother? Therefore, that universal God, from time to time, manifests, and we call that God. Now, it means not that the whole universe is empty without God. Now, He is omniscient, omnipresent. If He has a big fire, it burns. It means not that in the village fire disappeared. It’s hard to understand what God is. So, Holy Gurujī said, a greedy man, a businessman, counts every day, and works very hard, "How much money do I have today in my account? How much business I did in my company?" but all that will remain here when he will die. But a spiritual person, he or she thinks, "How many times did I repeat the name of God or my mantra?" That is your spiritual account, so you are depositing every day. And now you can say in the evening how many mantras in the name of God you deposit in your spiritual bank. And credit of this you will get janam janam in every life. So to inspire someone, give the motivation of life, that is a great thing what one can do. And automatically you will get the benefit, the spirituality. In the beginning of the Satya Yuga, when Śiva first manifested in the universe, then Śiva created Viṣṇu and Śiva created Brahmā. And then Brahmā also created many saints. One of them is called Saint Nārada. And Brahmā told him, "Go into the entire universe and spread the name of God." Bhakti Yoga. Nārada has still access to all layers of the universe, any planet, and within no time he can manifest it himself, and any time he can dematerialize. So, that is our duty in this Kali Yuga: to help the people, making them aware that there is only one God. He is our Father. He is our Creator. It doesn’t matter, human or animals or any. And we are all children of one God. And our religion is humanity, to follow the human dharma. So, it doesn’t matter which religion you follow, which God you respect and pray to; it doesn’t matter. God is God. Let’s say suddenly here appears Śiva, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Rāma, Kṛṣṇa, Buddha, Jesus, Mahāprabhujī. All are standing in a beautiful view, and we come there. What will you do? That’s it. If you say, "I only believe this one; others are not good." There will be a strike in the parliament. So, who are you to judge? With which authority, with which strength, knowledge, or power can you judge God? That this God is good and that God is wrong? Then you cannot judge a small ant, you cannot, because you don’t know the life of the ant, the strength of the ant, the manifestation of that ant, who is behind this ant, God. God is living in the ant. Therefore, the biggest mistake we do is if we tell this is wrong God and this is right God. So, in Vedic religion or Hindu religion, we are taught about this, what I’m telling you: respect all. That is the way to come through, and repeat your mantra. If you don’t have a mantra, any divine name of God, anything divine, what you think is divine—if you think of your mother, in your heart, in your consciousness, the love of your mother appears. And when you think of your father, the love of the father appears. And when you see any small baby, it doesn’t matter, human or animal, the love of mother, father appears, you know, baby. We have so many children here now, small babies. And when a small child comes, it’s not yours, it’s someone else’s. But in your heart, it’s like a little child, a baby. And if you think of your husband, then love of husband appears. And if you think of your wife, love of your wife appears. Similarly, when you think of God, that God’s love appears in the heart. That love where there is no conflict, that love where there is no fear, that love where there is no hate and no jealousy, that love which is free, and that free love makes us free. That’s why one of the names of God we call is, "Love is God and God is love." So our richness is our spiritual earning. That will go with us. So now I will give the words to our dear Josef. Molim. Iḍe. Ja, ja. Ja? Čuje se? Radi? Unberujobar. I really don’t know what to say. Now we heard the words of Gurudev, and I took it to my heart. I don’t know what to add to make it interesting. The praise that Gurudev gave me at the beginning, I’m afraid that he exaggerated. Yesterday in the lecture, he spoke about karma. And when we are going to another world, we are coming to the door of Brahmaloka. And from there, we are returned. But I can tell you, it is true because I have experienced that. 30 years ago, I was in a hospital, and they said I had a case of clinical death. I had many experiences from this world, and I also had experience of the astral world, and I came somewhere and it was really nice, and I said, "Well, I will stay here, it’s beautiful." But they said, "No, you can’t stay. You have to come back. You have to do many things for mankind still." And I was quarreling, I said, "No, I want to stay." And then I felt like somebody pulled me and pushed me over. So, here I am. And I’m waiting for Gurudev, when he will free me so I can return back. Once I told him this story and asked him, "Do you know about this?" And he said, "Of course, I pulled you back, and they told me I have to come back." And I said, "Okay, what do I have to do?" And they said, "Everything will come at the right time." So I waited. For ten years, and almost exactly to the same day, I met Swāmījī. It was in Pohorje in 1988. The yogīs of Yugoslavia had a seminar. And I came to the seminar, wanted to talk to Swāmījī, but they said, "Not now, in the evening." On the program was meditation of self-inquiry. And it was the most beautiful meditation of my life. When everybody left for lunch, it seems that I couldn’t move; I couldn’t wake up. Svāmījī was waiting for me in his room. I have to say, before that, I was looking for Svāmījī all the time because I was reading his book, and when I saw the photograph, I said that this is the person whom I am looking for. This is the person I’m looking for, and when I came to his room, the tears fell from my eyes, and I went to his arms, and I said, "This is what I was looking for. Now I’m home. I don’t need anything more." And Swamiji said it would be good to organize yoga in Slovenia. And I said, Swamiji, this is already done. Because a few years earlier, my wife and I went to a yoga seminar and we had learned something, but that wasn’t quite enough. And so this is how yoga in Slovenia started. We organized an ashram, and Swamiji often came. Unfortunately, today he is not coming so often. And my wife told me that it is a pity that more Swāmījīs do not come today, because there are too many of us and there is no time to come. So a few years ago, my wife said to Swamijī, "It’s a pity that you are not coming so often because there are so many of us, so you don’t have the time to come." Swamiji said, "Why pity? It’s good that there are so many of us." So now when I look around at seminars like this, I am very glad that there are so many of us. That this is one big family where we all breathe as one, together with our Gurudev. Now I have come to the point that I don’t know what I would say further, only to thank Gurudev, that my wife and I are still able to sometimes come to the seminar, because as Sāvitrī said, at the seminar we get the most. Manage to come to seminars because, as Sadhvī Sāvitrī said, in the seminars we get the most. That Priya Samarika, that the morning damage to Priya Oslo body, She will even earlier, I earlier I asked him to, to release me to free me as soon as possible, but still I like to be here. Thank you, dear Swamiji, and give us all health, and you be healthy, so we can be together for a long time. In this Kali Yuga, the time of turbulence, where there is uncertainty, confusion, many, many vikṣepas, discrepancies, full of illusion, the māyā, lack of faith, trust, and confidence. Humans are suffering, and not only one person, but even the children are suffering. It is very hard for people to stay together a long time. Always changing, and they are not happy. Maybe you will be happy for a short time. Lucky are they who find a good partner. A bird has two wings to fly. A person who enters into household life, who marries, they both, husband and wife, become one wing of the bird, and the bird itself is their soul. The word "marriage" itself in English means "merge," means to become one. If you didn’t become one, you will divide. So it was emotion, and that motion of the emotion will separate you again if you found it. And you have conflict in the family. Then that bird, which has one wing that is very weak or ill, cannot fly. And the death of a cat, a cat is like a death. It comes and tries to attack that bird. And would like to fly away, but cannot, because one wing is missing. Once you find it, make yourself sure. If you lost it, then make sure that you develop another strength. So better you leave your both wings as your one wing. And if you divide your one wing with someone, then keep it lifelong. Yes, the guiding force in the family, or the driving, governing force, is a woman, a wife, who becomes a mother. When she marries, she gets a higher degree, a promotion. Now she gets in her hands the entire culture of that house. Culture, traditions, beliefs, relations, social. And when she becomes a mother, she gets another promotion. She has now always the first word. The first and last are her words. It means not that she presses her husband down. She always tries to keep her husband at a high level. Every woman, when she is small, tries to keep her brother higher. It’s in nature, in feminine nature. And when she marries, she tries to keep her husband on the best level. And when she gets children, she tries to keep the entire family in the best view. And when the husband doesn’t understand her and tries to humiliate her, insult her, her pain is indescribable. Many times he thinks, "I think I should have stayed alone." Lucky are they who understand each other. Of course, if you don’t understand quarreling, then it’s like some ill organ in the body. Nothing remains then, just to operate it. No, we are still afraid to operate, to take it out. If you have to transplant your kidney, you are not happy with this. Still your kidney, your own kidney, or your dear kidney. So, the leading force who brought Joseph so high into the mountain, Pohorje, I saw when they were coming up. Zlatka was first, and he was behind. Zlatka was first, and Joseph was behind, yes. Yes, yes. You know, they were walking. The Pohorje high hills. Pohorje is a high mountain. And we stayed at the Post Hotel. We stayed in the Post Hotel. So, and then he always stood behind, supporting him. And after that, she was always behind him and supported him. What is the nature of the woman? What is the nature of the woman? Always to give first, so I think we would be very happy to hear something from Zlatka, and you know she’s very dear to me, I love her very much, so I think we have to give the microphone to our dear, our dear Zlatka, the gold, the pure gold. Dear Swamiji, I don’t know what to say. I am happy that we are together today. I’m very happy that we can be here today with all of you. I feel very good here among you. And I hope that Swamiji will still be coming to us. You’re always very welcome. And I’m very happy if we can offer you something. I will not defend myself; I will just mention something. I would like to say that, in order to receive a mantra, everyone needs to be careful. You don’t need to hurry. But if you wait long enough, it can happen that Swāmījī comes to your house and gives you mantra in your own house. Because that happens to our Zlatka. She always asked Swamiji if he needed something more, and then Swamiji said, "Bring one paper and pencil." And then he was writing something and said, "Here, this is your mantra." So she got a mantra very cheap. Once, Mahāprabhujī said, "When the cup is full, then you... You cannot pour more inside, because then it all just flows." So our Zlatka is full of love and divine. So whatever we would like to say to her, it’s all flowing in love. Thank you, we understood. I think next time we should have a revolving chair. I can also turn to the others. Otherwise, some might say, "I went back side," and the other is in front side. Or, I must ask Śiva to give me the... Well, I come back to the words of Yosef. It is said in one poem: "Jis ghar hari bhakti nahī, śānt nahī mehmān, us ghar jamdūt diyā, jīvat hī śmaśān." In that house where there is no devotion to God, and in that house, the saint has not stepped in, that house is just like a graveyard. Svāmī Lālā Nanjī said in one of his bhajans, which you know very well. Listen, my friend, my Satguru Dev has come to my house. Kali means blood jam, a flower before it opens, the bud. That is our blood cells, that is our blood. Harsavate means happy, joyful, blossoming, opens. When the saint comes home, then the bhaktas experience the awakening of divine feelings and divine joy, so it is true. But sometimes some problem appears among the people. When I go to the boss, Jozef, then Vāsiṣṭha says, "Why does Swāmījī always go there?" When I go with Varṣiṣṭha, and then Natasha says, "But I also have a house nearby," Swāmījī says. This is this. We are very jealous. And one day I tried, I took my car and went through the countries. But very soon, people will discover it. Once I was going somewhere, and there was a traffic light. You know where it was? In Hawaii. And I rented a bungalow. A place is called Long Island. Not Long Island, sorry, Big Island. And the ticket and bungalows and everything were included, also a car, a rental car. And we were three persons. There were three of us: Matajī, Jarmila from Prague, and one more. So, I took the car and went to the supermarket to buy something: milk, yoghurt, and this and that. And there was a traffic light. It was a bright day. I had little dark glasses and a t-shirt. Of course, down I had my lungi, but he couldn’t see inside. And after one hour, I got a telephone call. Swamiji, my husband said your Gurujī is here. How is that possible? So, you can’t hide. The next day, we went to change the beach, to go somewhere else to see how the other beach is. So I had long swimming trousers and a t-shirt, and again, these dark glasses. And three of us stopped somewhere to drink coconut milk. It was like in India, a small tree, under the tree there was one lady sitting, and people stopped and they got coconut milk, drank, and went. So we stopped there, and I also came out of the car. After five minutes, that lady said to me, "Mr. Guru, how do you feel?" I said, "Perfect." But it is good when the master can come, visit, even five minutes, even one minute. But you know, I’m coming to you hours and hours every day. You don’t look at that. What can I do through the webcast? That’s also something, no? So, I will come. Just wait. Will thou come, will thou come, once for once, come to me? Will thou come, will thou come? I keep holding. That’s it. Night and day, night and day, I look for the... I had many experiences like this. In India, you know, I was with Gurujī. Just he and me, that’s all, Samonia, and we said in the bus. And some village came, could you say, "We get off here, Gurujī?" Gurujī says, "Here we will sit." Who am I to say no? And I had to carry his small suitcase. And we went to some house, very poor persons. And they were surprised, Guru Dev arrived. And the children ran. Father was working somewhere in the field. Gurujī came. What? And they looked, and they threw all the tools away, and ran and came and made praṇām to Gurujī. And meanwhile, Gurujī told me, "Bring me that garden bed under the tree." And he was sitting under the tree. It’s such a beautiful feeling, such a beautiful view. Just he was sitting with dignity, you know, you know, divine form, and people come and meet, praṇām, and so on. That was the best time. Now is also the best time, but that time was a time without responsibilities. My feeling was always, "When will we get something sweet?" That’s why I keep our children ready, you know. Psychological problems are here. You can’t get rid of them. So, thank you. This was a beautiful satsaṅg. And we had a different program this morning, but as Mahāprabhujī wished. What time is lunch? Now. To promote yoga in daily life. And to inspire the people. And good for you and for your students, because mostly all of you are yoga teachers here. Our video team would always like to make nice videos. When I was first time, again, I’m coming over to Hawaii. And there, people came from CNN and interviewed. And then they asked if I could demonstrate some asanas on the beach in Hawaii; they would like to send a nice yoga program. So, I was always thinking that I would go to the beach and make some nice programs. But you know, I discovered something meanwhile: nothing can defeat the Adriatic coast. That’s our Hawaii. Look, isn’t that so beautiful? So this afternoon, about 5:30 to 6:30, this whole entire area behind, we will make our āsanas, prāṇāyāmas. So occupied, all from this corner to that corner, the entire space. Where will Swamījī sit? People said to me, "Swāmījī, are you teaching āsanas and sitting yourself on a very beautiful sofa?" That’s not hot, yogī. So, I will just move with the mobile. Call me, microphone. Good? I will go there where people were behind. So therefore we should equally divide it, and we will have a nice program of yoga in daily life. That it is not different from others, but it is systematic, disciplined. Yoga in daily life is protecting the ethical principles. It is very wrong that people are doing yoga without a dress. And it is very dangerous now to swim and have no dress on. Long dress is a protection for your skin. When you practice āsanas and prāṇāyāmas, your body produces certain prāṇa. And that prāṇa is like feedback again, if you have good long arms and long trousers. And if you have only a small t-shirt and a tight dress, then you lose that prāṇa. We must not demonstrate our anatomy, but we should present our self. So that’s why we have our yoga uniform. And I can tell you that yoga is a daily life exclusive system in the world. And people have to come to this point again. So, discipline, respect to each other, and take enough space that you can lie down and stretch your hands. So now it’s good to eat, and then after 5:30, before dinner. And we will ask our restaurant people if they can wait half an hour late, we will have dinner. And after that, asana’s pranayama’s program, there will be mantra dīkṣā. But I don’t know if there are some. How many lists? Thirty to fifty. How many people are going to receive a mantra? Can you stand up? Please stand up so that I can see beautiful faces. Well, very nice, quite welcome. I am very happy to see you. Thank you. Sit down. So after our asanas program, here in this hall we will have mantradīkṣā. Others will go for dinner, and after that, we will go and have dinner. So now, I wish you half an hour for a beautiful walk and to touch the water element, okay? The ocean is the holiest water from the entire planet, from all the holy places, and from the holy dust of holy saints from around the whole world. Flows with the rivers into the ocean, so the ocean is our life. It is holy. So now, for half an hour, you can enjoy for an extra day. I wish you a very good appetite. Thank you. Deep nine. Bhagavān kī jaya. Devīśvara Mahādeva kī jaya. Mādhav Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān kī jaya. Sanātana Dharma Kī Jaya, Viśva Govinda, Mohamadāleśvara Paramahaṁsa Savimāheśvarān Poyujī, Govindadeva Kī Jaya.
