Yoga and Shiva Bhagawan

Yoga is the universal path connecting the individual to the cosmic Self through Śiva. Haṭha Yoga is a primary means to reach this state, placing practitioners under Śiva's protection. The mantra "Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya" purifies the entire being; even the shortened "Śiv" aligns with the heartbeat, embedding the divine within. Specific temples house unique Śiva liṅgams, sources of great blessing. Consecrating a dwelling through ceremony is essential to invite positive energy and avoid negative influences. The story of Viṣṇu offering lotus flowers illustrates complete devotion, where the sacrifice of one's own eye fulfills the practice. True vision, Kamalnayan, arises from inner purity cultivated through sādhanā. This purification is the essence of the path.

"Śiva is in each and every cell of our body; He is everywhere."

"Where there is purity inside, then it is beautiful."

Om Namah Śrī Prabhu Dīp Nārāyaṇam. Om Siddhip Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī. Devadhī Dev Deveśwar Mahādev kī. Alagpurījī Mahādev kī. Haraje Sadguru Swāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān kī. Om Śānti, Om Śānti, Om Śānti. All my dear brothers, sisters, all yogīs, practitioners of Yoga in Daily Life, and all others, great saints and yoga centers. I bless them and adore them for being on the path of yoga. Yoga is for the whole world. It is a connection from the earth to the Sūrya, and from the Sūrya to the Cosmic Self, my dears. We have spoken much about this great path. Many have been sending letters and messages. One person is from New Zealand, and another from Australia, asking, "Swāmījī, can we send you some of our opinions and our practices?" Of course, you can write. I will respectfully look and see, and I will keep what you have given. It is very nice, concerning yoga, life, and so on. Corona is always now jumping like a medic, jumping left and right. Yet, I know that all yogīs are very happy. They know their nature, their way of living, their way of food, their thoughts, and their practice. They are great. I admire all yogīs and yoga practitioners from all other yoga centers and their masters; I adore them. Haṭha Yoga is continuous this whole week. Haṭha Yoga is one of the best and greatest ways to come to the Cosmic Self. It goes all the way to what they call Śiva. All yogīs, all who are practicing what we call yoga, are first under life, and with Śiva, they are under Śiva’s protection. When we say the name "Śiva," it means automatically that all in our yogic techniques in yoga is Śiva. That is why all yogīs, all practitioners, say Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya. Oṁ namo śivāya. Oṁ, is that Oṁ we know? Oṁ, vīme, to je ono om. Namo means we bow down to Śiva. Klaním se Śivāya. Oṁ namo śivāya. Oṁ namo śivāya. In our whole body, in our whole thoughts, in our whole everything, it becomes very pure and very clear, and divine feelings arise in that yogī who is practising that yoga. Again, in this end as the Kali Yuga is coming, you know that many, many yoga practitioners, even in the Kali Yuga, will be facing it, but they will not have problems anywhere. So let us go, every morning, evening, daytime, whenever: OM NAMA ŚIVĀYA, OM NAMA ŚIVĀYA, OM NAMA ŚIVĀYA. Śiva is in each and every cell of our body; He is everywhere. Just think, close your eyes, open your eyes, look there and here—everywhere is Śiva, Śiva, Śiva... Śiv, you can say just the mantra, simply "Śiv, Śiv,... Śiv." Because sometimes we think "Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya" is too long. But Haṭha Yogīs said, "Śiv, Śiv,... Śiv." Just one word, like Śiv, Śiv. It is like our heartbeat. It is in our blood vessels. All that is in our whole body, in our thoughts, so yoga is that Śiva. And Śiva is yoga, and yoga has brought Śiva, and Śiva has given to all of us. You know, Śiva has one thousand names. It is written in all the scriptures everywhere. In India, in Jadan Ashram in Rajasthan, there is a temple of Śiva. There is a beautiful OM building. The whole world knows that OM, and in the center of that OM, there are the twelve Śivas. These twelve times, sometimes Śiva appeared, and one more, three, that is in Nepal. In Nepal, there is also a Śiva temple. The temple is in Śiva. So, in Jadam Ashram, district Pali, Rajasthan, India, there is a very high, big temple of Śiva. And in the liṅgam of Śiva, there are twelve Śivas, in different postures, different looking. These are the twelve Śivas we call Dvādaśa Jyotirliṅga. Dvādaśa Jyotirliṅga. Many people search for that: where is Śiva? Dvādaśa Jyotirliṅga, where Śiva’s temple is. They go to them and receive great blessings. Jyoti means the flame, the light. That Śiva is like a light. His blessings are great. So there are twelve lights of the Śiva face in that round and round of the Liṅga. Every Śiva has a different face, different beard, hair, many things. Very soon, it will be the ceremony of those twelve Śiva Liṅgas. It is about nearly 1.7 meters. The Śiva Liṅga is very high up, nearly 2 meters. On the temple, in every house, everywhere, where we are making holy statues or pictures, etc., first we make our altar or temple or something like this. Then we bring all our different gurus or our gods and any religions of that into their church. It is said when you make a house, when you are making any kind of house very new, then after the building or the room is completed, you should ask a Jyotiṣī and tell the Jyotiṣī, "Please, when can I bring into my house that God, pictures, statues, etc.?"—be it Jesus or Holy Mothers or Brahmā or Śiva or Viṣṇu, etc. I think in every country when they get a piece of land, then they will make their house. That is what is called earth-breaking. But that earth is a mother, and how can we break the earth? Therefore, we make blessings, we pray, and on a good constellation, we ask the mother earth, and Sūrya, and Śiva, then we make a ceremony, and then we are breaking for what? To make a foundation. In that foundation, where we are constructing our building, on those foundations we then build our entire building. It is said that it is very important in which direction and how you actually build that house. Which direction should our door face? Maybe there is no place to be on that side, then we do the other side, but we should know exactly how to ask. And then we are constructing the building. And there it is said, on which side should the kitchen be? If it is possible, then it is the east-south corner for the kitchen. And then, the water? Where should we sleep? Head left, right, south, north, where? So, generally, it is said that we have our head to the south, so north energy is coming. So this is how we are making the buildings. When the building is done, then you should make the ceremony, what we call the housewarming. And so they are giving, in their religion, their God, how they are. All are good. And then we shall make this housewarming. Greetings, friends, housemates. Come and put their light. In India, we are making ceremonies like this. Then your house, everything in it will be very great. That’s very important. And if you have made a building and you locked it, and you don’t know when you will make ceremonies, etc., or cooking like this—you made a building and you locked it, and that is when somebody who wants to buy, we will open. It is said that if you are long without living inside, or making some pūjā or something, then it is because the devils come in. So the devils are inside that room. And there will always be, in that building, that house, problems. There will always be some problems, some cruelty, and for the couple who is going there, it will not be good. There will always be some negative energy. Also, your children will not be so peaceful. So we make the house, but we say, "Make it again your house, put your photos, put your something, make your ceremony." You see, in Western countries, I see all very beautiful buildings. Also, the kings' buildings were beautiful, but they were all done the right way. And you see, when we come into some castle or something, there is something, and those who did not make that ceremony, something, the kings will not remain there. There will be all the times killing, fighting, this, that. So it is said in the wild animals, and check up on them, please. Every animal knows how they are sitting, which side they are sitting. See the birds there, how they are sitting. So in that way, it is because for the humans, humans have that final life, then go to what we call God, or wherever we are thinking, heaven. Otherwise, those who are not concentrating, doing nothing and this and that, then unfortunately they go down. And so, even the goddess and Śiva, etc. So God Viṣṇu was worshipping Śiva because Viṣṇu wanted to get something. So he said to God, "Viṣṇu, he will make anuṣṭhāna." Anuṣṭhāna means to do some practice, sādhanā, like some sādhanā, worshiping. You know, here now in Europe, many days, many months, there are always ceremonies about the church. So, Viṣṇu Bhagavān wanted to have the lotus flowers, one thousand lotus flowers, after his Anuṣṭhāna practice. How many months was it, or how many years? And then he said to Bhagavān Śiva Liṅga: "Bhagavan Śiva, please, I did my sādhanā, and now I will offer these lotus flowers in worship." So he was sitting, and with one thousand lotus flowers, Bhagavan Viṣṇu offered each one, one lotus flower, giving a new name of Śiva. So, one thousand, the last remaining flowers, he was giving ninety-nine, ninety-nine, and Śiva took one lotus flower. Standing behind Śiva, or Viṣṇu. Śiva. Bhagavān Viṣṇu said, "I had 999. Where is one flower?" Looking here and there, it means my sādhanā is not completed. What to do then? Śiva gives the voice: "Viṣṇu, if you have not one flower, a lotus flower for me, you can give your eye." Viṣṇu Bhagavān, God, said, "My Lord, if you ask, tell me, my one eye instead of the lotus flower." So Viṣṇu puts his hand like this up, and it comes like some weapon, that he wants to take this eye out. So when he begins to do like this, Śiva holds Viṣṇu’s hand: "Viṣṇu, you are perfection now. What do you want today? I will wish you anything, and I give you your name, and your name is Lotus Eye Colors." Therefore, the Viṣṇu Bhagavān Viṣṇu name is called the flower Kamalanayan. So that faded out, but it was there inside where Bhagavān Viṣṇu got this, and Śiva said, "Your name is Kamalnayan." And so you will always see Bhagavān Śiva or Kṛṣṇa or this Rāma, their eyes are like a beautiful, beautiful Kamal Nayan. So there were one thousand Śiva’s names because each lotus flower is offered to the Liṅga with one name. And for each flower, the Śiva behind him appears in a different form. So now, nowhere else in the world is there a Śiva Liṅga with twelve faces, but one thousand Śiva statues in different positions, with different hair, and each one has a name. And many people are waiting and waiting, when will the ceremony be? Many people are waiting, thinking, "I want to have one Śiva name. Wait, I want to have one Śiva name." It is the temple, it is Śiva’s indescribable. And so, where there is, there Śiva is. So, in this, it is said, when we make our house or anything, so we have to come to live that way. So we all do our eyes? So this is Kamal Nayan, that our eyes are like a lotus flower. When you look at someone, there are certain people’s eyes that are so beautiful. And where there is purity inside, then it is beautiful. And those who are angry, these dead, then you can see from your eyes, it’s like a red. So this is how we are coming to Sarvahitāsan, which is called our sādhanā, Haṭha Yoga. And so, Haṭha Yoga is that of Śiva, if you go through this Sat-yoga. It means you are purified through the Śiva energies. Therefore, it is a great Haṭha-yoga. Let’s go further. And so it is Hatha-yoga. Light, how the light is going light into the light of the light. Let us walk the path of Hatha-yoga. Where light passes through light to light. Let’s do it like this. Namah Śivāya, Har Har Bholē, Namah Śivāya, Namah Śivāya, Om Namah Śivāya, Namah Śivāya, Om Namah Śivāya, Har Har Bholē, Namah Śivāya, Om Namah Śivāya, Namah Śivāya, Namah Śivāya. Devpurījī Mahādeva Kī Jai, Devādī Dev Deveśvar Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī Kī Jai, Satguru. Swami Mahādvāna Jī, Bhagavān Kī Jai, Alak Purī Jī, Mahādeva. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti.
