Protect the animals

A prayer for protection and balance in response to suffering.

An earthquake has caused loss and hardship. Prayers and ceremonies have positive effects. We are in Kali Yuga, a distracting age. Shiva will now balance all negatives to bring a better time. Messages suggest more challenges will come. We must act. First, protect all life: in water, on land, and in the air. Do not destroy creatures; love and feed them. From your own food, give a portion to animals. This protection of others is protection for ourselves. Spiritual progress is like drawing water from a deep well; negative actions can break the rope, causing a fall. We should also practice yoga: postures like Sarvahitāsan and prāṇāyāma. These bring health. Breathing is life itself.

"Shiva will balance all. He will bring that kind of energy so that all the negatives or distracting things will slowly, slowly be brought into a good position."

"If we cannot give them something good, then at least we should not destroy them or make problems for them."

Om Ārādī Bhagavān Śrī Alagpurījī Mahādev kī Jai. Devadhī Dev Deveśvar Mahādev kī Jai. Ārādī Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī kī Jai. Satguru Swami Madhavān Jī Bhagavān kī Jai. Satya Sanātana Dharma kī Jai. Good evening to all our dear sisters and brothers, to all yoga and daily life, and to all the yoga centers, yoga schools, and the various kinds of āśrams. I also pray to our Guru Paramparā for the whole world and for all humans who are suffering today. Let us be in prayer for all of us. My dear all, we know that yesterday there was an earthquake in Croatia and nearby countries. It was very, very problematic, and some lost their lives. It was not only once; the whole night, from time to time, there was an earthquake. One was five point something in the night. Very many people had problems, of course. They were sitting outside; it is a very cold winter, and they had made some fire somewhere on the road or somewhere else. We have not seen it, but in many, many countries people were talking about this. It is said that those who were in it, who experienced this earthquake, know what happened. But the government of Croatia, and many, many people, the police and others, came and took control. I would like to make one mantra of prayer for all who are suffering, who have experienced some kind of demise, especially in Croatia and for many people in other countries, from the Czech Republic or Croatia. We are all with you. So I will make the prayer for all, and we say to the Almighty, "Please bless us, and it should not happen, something like this." Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭi Vardhanam Urvārukamiva Bandhanān Mṛtyor Mukṣīya Mā’mṛtāt. Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭi Vardhanam Urvārukamiva Bandhanān Mṛtyor Mukṣīya Mā’mṛtāt. Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭi Vardhanam Ūrvarūkam iva vandanāt mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Oṁ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ... Hari Om. It has been nearly three weeks since the message came. Many people in India—some Brahmins and Pandits, and those who practice Jyotiṣa—as well as those outside of India, were making prayers and performing some yajñas. We should know that yajña ceremonies, mantras, and good actions for good have a positive effect. As I have said, there is Satyuga, Dvāpara Yuga, Tretā Yuga, and Kali Yuga. We are in the Kali Yuga. So why did it happen like this? It is said that now Śiva will take matters in hand. Shiva is for all, for the whole world. He is everywhere in the whole earth and the whole ocean. All of this is Shiva. He takes it in his hand now. He is not where the negatives are; he will not make something negative or create problems. But he will balance all. He will bring that kind of energy so that all the negatives or distracting things will slowly, slowly be brought into a good position by Śiva himself. And so the Satya Yuga will come, because in Kali Yuga, it comes and tries very hard. This Kali Yuga will distract very much. The whole earth will turn into another setting. Once there was a time like that, and many animals died, humans died. Sometimes they speak of some kind of animals; they are not here anymore, but they say there were many, many very big animals, and they also died. What were they? Dinosaurs. So it will come. And messages are coming from people’s scientists, not the scientists. So, like this happening, it will come more. Corona, and after another corona, someone said it will come attacking the brain, causing very much pain in the mouth and the throat, and so on. They are talking. We hope, and we should try as much as we can. Now, there are certain things that we should do. First of all, because I was meditating and thinking very much. First, we should protect the animals. There are three places: Jalchara, Thalchara, and Nabhachara. Jalchara means life in the oceans and waters; they are living in the water. Thalchara, all living beings on the earth. And Nābhāchārya is in this space. We know that many, many creatures are in this space. So these are the three: Jalchara, Thalchara, and Nabhachara. They all have life, and so if we cannot give them something good, then at least we should not destroy them or make problems for them. This is the first point. Please, about 18 years before, I was writing, and I also gave written there two words to all other creatures: Love them. Love them, feed them, and love them, protect them. Feed them, but don’t kill them. But people don’t understand; they did not understand. And you know the suffering is coming. This is very important. So in that way, if we have nothing or we cannot do anything, at least we should not destroy them. Because God is not only for humans or animals, but also for all the flies in the water. Therefore, we can only say that we should protect ourselves. We are protecting ourselves, which means we are protecting others. So, it is said, when you eat something—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—from that portion, we shall give it to other animals. If you can eat one bread, the love of the bread, so some part of that... we shall give it to animals. So everywhere, all people, all birds, everything, they will also get it. And the animals at home, we should take them properly and give to them. Not that for a while you are keeping them, feeding them, and then someone there kills them and eats them. That is not right. Because from this life, finally, if we believe in God or not, we come to a higher point, after which we will be in Brahmaloka. But it is the last point, and if we do many negative things, then we will go back. It’s like there’s a very deep well, a water well, with a basket and one rope, and we put it in the water, down, to bring the water up. It is about, let’s say, five meters deep, or twenty meters deep. And we are pulling the water out, slowly, slowly, with a rope. Half a meter is left, and what happens? Your rope is broken because you did not concentrate properly. So this water basket falls again into the well. Only to fall in, but how will you get out again? Similarly, when we are human, and of course first we are for the animal humans, but if we do something for the animals, then it will be cycling all the time. So we cannot force anyone; we protect ourselves, but we will say, "Please don’t kill and eat animals." I’m sorry, and if you are angry, I’m sorry. Now, let’s say for ourselves. So, from our food, we should give some part to any animals. And after that, we are also giving the water to flying animals. Where there is no water, then we should bring them to bring the water there. There are so many countries, like in India, also some parts of India, where in the summer time there is no water and animals are suffering. So, eating, drinking, and protecting for the animals is very, very good for us humans, that we gain more and more that power of the gods, that we will come to whatever we want to go, heaven or whatever you say, Brahmalokas, etc. And, for example, there we should also practice for ourselves. If you eat vegetables and like this, but if still it’s not good inside, then we should not do. And if we cannot, then we have finally the yoga. And so the yoga, physical yoga, mental yoga, and meditation and prayers. Prayers and meditation with the mantra. It has an immense effect on our body, a positive one. Not corona positive, but that kind of positive. So our whole body will begin to be very healthy again. And so, yoga in daily life, scientifically, step by step, we have our yoga practice. And Sarvahitāsan, this is good for all very old people, little children, and all others. And after, for the people who are in mid-life, the mid-age, then there are more other postures, as yoga postures, but not doing them too quickly. Slowly and with concentration. Do not jump quickly, run quickly, etc. And then comes our prāṇāyāma. That’s also very good. And in this Sarvahitāsana and other parts of the Yoga in Day Life book, we have made Yoga in Day Life for all our yoga practitioners and teachers of Yoga in Day Life, and they made what is called Barikhatu Praṇām. And thousands of people or more have practiced, and they feel very good. So it is called Bārikhātu Praṇām. Please give. Also, children can have. Old people, they should take care. But there are people 100 years old, still very good, they can too. And that is nourishment, which I told you, and then the prāṇāyāma. Prāṇāyāma. So prāṇāyāma is different kinds of prāṇāyāma. And this tomorrow, I will give you about prāṇāyāmas. So, it is many beautiful things. And there are different kinds of prāṇāyāma. And the best prāṇāyāma is the one we have constantly, 24 hours a day. So, generally, when we are breathing, how much do we breathe in and out in one minute? And the other is different techniques for our body to get health. And then there are other techniques that will help our body to be healthy. Breathing is life. When we cannot get the prāṇa, the heart is good, lungs are good, kidneys are good, everything is good, but no more breath is gone. So the breathing is the life that we will go tomorrow. Wish you all the best, my dears. Wish you a very good evening and good days, wherever you are around the world. Oṁ Dīpānā Bhagavān Kījai, Devpurījī Mahādeva Kījai, Alakpurījī Mahādeva Kījai, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān Kījai. Om Śānti, Śānti,... Om, Om, Om.
