Kundalini and bhramari pranayama

The human system is a map of energy, with the chakras and their petals corresponding to the letters of language. The fifty-two petals of the chakras align with the fifty-two letters of the Sanskrit alphabet. This connection reveals language as a divine structure within the body. The mother tongue holds primacy, as the first sound comes from the mother. Understanding this interwoven reality requires study and direct experience, not mere intellectual discussion. Techniques like Brahmari Prāṇāyāma harmonize this inner system. Practice with discipline to awaken knowledge from within.

"Within our Hindi letters, within that kuṇḍalinī, within each petal, there is each letter."

"Brahmari will release everything for you."

We all come together through yoga to restore Sanātana Dharma and integrate yoga into daily life across the globe. I know you are with me, even though I cannot see you. You see me. This is the opposite of the traditional dynamic, where the guru should see all and the disciple should not. Now it is reversed: the disciples all see, but Gurujī does not see. Yet, that very Gurujī is giving his energy, his thoughts, and his blessings to everyone in this manner. Yesterday we contemplated the kuṇḍalinī and the chakras, including each and every petal of every chakra. We exist within these chakras—Mūlādhāra, Svādhiṣṭhāna, Maṇipūra, and so on. In this world, and especially in India, there is much confusion—Gujaratis, Rajasthanis, and many others. Who is to know whom? It is like a temporary arrangement, a jugad, yet we are perfect. Everything is good. In this context, consider the petals of the chakras. There are 52 petals, corresponding to the 52 letters of our Sanskrit or Hindi alphabet. What is the connection? The chakras, and the words or letters we use. I have spent many years outside India, in many countries, and it often confuses me—which country, which language should I speak of? But of course, "Mātṛ Devo Bhava"—'Revere your mother as divine.' Everyone speaks of your mother tongue. We come from our mother's embryo; the mother provides everything. She knows she has a child. She is the one who speaks first; the father may smile, but he cannot yet speak to the child. That is why we call it the mother tongue. Of course, the father is great—all fathers here are very great, please. I am always speaking of mothers, and some people say, "Swamiji, you are always talking about mothers." But the father is also great; without him, again, nothing. Even our earth is Mother Earth. In the human system, we speak of chakras, kuṇḍalinī, nerves, and many things. But our Sanskrit—where do its letters come from? What do you remember? I have forgotten. Tell me, our Sanskrit is very common, is it not? Someone tell me. Would they ask you about your language, Hindi? Where did it come from? What is it? You are all from here, are you not? Sanskrit. Devanāgarī. Devanāgarī. So, what we call our Sanskrit alphabets is called Dev... Dev, meaning God. All 52 devas reside in this space, and all animals and beings have their languages. But we are speaking of human life, so Sanskrit. Amari Sanskrit kaho ya amari bahasa jo borne. On that basis, according to the 52 letters, it aligns with the Kuṇḍalinī cakras. In the Kuṇḍalinī chakras, there are petals. What is a petal? It is like a flower. Which is the best of all? The lotus (kamal). It emerges from the navel, and each petal has its axis. Now, I want to learn and know. He sat next to me and asked me to sit in front of him, because if I sit in front of his neck, I would have to sing all night. So, I am asking the questions again. You were born in India, you move within India—you know more than I do. You know, within our Hindi akṣar (letters), within that kuṇḍalinī, within each petal, there is each letter. I am giving, I am saying that I do not know, that is why I am asking you. Many of you have never met anyone. But right now, you do not know. Tell your child—they do not know how many Sanskrit parts are in their Hindi. They are all different. All of you who come here teach English to your children. If we all study Hindi, will we not gain anything? If you go to Germany, you will get a German boat. This is made. This is Gurujī's song, very good. Should I read this, or will you read it for me? Śrī Kaṭkā Bhaṭṭīsī, Pūjī Śrī Dīp Dayāl Harī, Param Puruṣottam Khās, Mādhavā Ānand Kar Jodh Kahe, Simru Swāso Swās. So please, you will first speak in English. You say the words: this and that. Swāmījī has given me this. I will. Respected Swamiji has directed me to read Śrī Kakkā Bhaṭṭīsī for the benefit of all of you around the world. This is a creation of Swāmī Madhavānandajī Mahārāj. You can maybe take off. Who is the holy Gurujī, known as holy Gurujī around the world? He is the Paramgurudeva of Swami, the present Mādhavānandajī Mahārāj. In this, he has described the Hindi alphabets, and as Swamījī was just now explaining to all of you, each Hindi alphabet has a relation with the petals in the Kuṇḍalinī. Now, how these individual alphabets are related to each petal in the different chakras in the Kuṇḍalinī is a mystery to be known. The book written by our Gurudev, Hidden Treasures, contains everything in detail. But Swami Madhavānandjī Mahārāj has very nicely given this relationship, explained this relationship in this Kākkā Bhaṭṭīsī. So now I will read this Kākā Bhaṭṭīsī. Kakka means, in the Rajasthani language, alphabet. So now I am reading before you this Śrī Kakkā Bhaṭṭīsī. You know the Hindi alphabets. For each alphabet, he has formulated a line which conveys a very deep meaning. Tattva, Tattva... Rehni karni se bhau para, Dada Deep Dayalu data naam lie sab dukh kat jata. Dada, dhyan Satguru ka kije, Nanna, nar dehe uttam jaan, isi dehe se Prabhu pehcham. Pappa, paap ki khoti kamai, janam janam tu maha dukh pai, faffa. Phoola phirey agyānī, lakha chaurāsī bhukte khānī. Bābbā, bhakti Satguru kī karnā, bhakti karte kabhī mat ḍarnā. Mamma, Madhvānand kā kehnā, Guru āgyā meṁ nithi hī re. Yaya, yad karo ragurai, andhan lakshmi mile jag mahi. Rara, Rām apne ghaṭ khojo, Janam maraṇ ko meṭo bojo. Lalla, lagna bina nahī pāvo, bāto meṁ kyun samay gumāo? Vā, visey vāśnā meto, jab hove prabhu se bheto. ("Bheto" means meeting.) Śaśa, śakti vratā mat khonā, śakti binā sab thāṭ alūnā. ("Alūnā" means without salt. If you do not add salt, it does not taste well.) Ṣaṭ darśan kī māyā iskā par koī nahīṁ pāyā sāsā. (If your cloth is torn, you put a patch and can use it again.) You must have noticed that for each alphabet, he has beautifully formulated a line with a superb message. Each line carries beautiful messages. I think now Swamijī will take it further. Thank you. Is it done? Yes. You left half. Yes, I left half. You left half, and then you left the other half. Sir, do you leave half of it? Sir, the whole thing is here. The whole thing is here. But Gurujī has not completed it yet—the closing part, the signature part. We will do this. Gurujī’s Nāḍī. The Nāḍī, Nīpal. You should bring all from the toes to the head next time. I thought I am confused. So, my dear all bhaktas, especially from the Western countries—I do not know which way or which country I am talking of, but now from India—therefore, I was always reading all of this. All yoga and Delhi life people know very well about Kapālabhāti and all this. It means we want to know about the kuṇḍalinīs and cakras. In that system, there are names of some devas. For example, the śabdadhatu, or there is one elephant among the seven, what we call the thorn. In each and every one, there is one part of the energy in our body. When something is not good in your body, when we have any kind of disease, then we have to begin from the Mūlādhāra. Mūlādhāra cakra, and there is also Gaṇeśa. People will say, "Why is Gaṇeśa in the mūlādhāra chakra?" Because Gaṇeśa, the elephant-headed, comes from that. He is the root of everything. That is why, from these chakras—you have seen all DVDs and books—these have to be read very, very concentrated. Read one page five times, on different days. Then you will understand about the Kuṇḍalinī. There are many kuṇḍalinīs. Many people come and say, "Oh, Kuṇḍalinī is awakened," and they say, "Hmm, like this." Nothing is. That is it. You will then be confused. There is nothing like this; there is no movement. It is only coming, that energy, but energy is not like that. The knowledge is coming soon, and therefore we have to learn side by side. Now, again, I have brought you to that point because some people came earlier, but many did not come. So, Brahmari Prāṇāyāma. You have heard about Brahmari Prāṇāyāma. Many of you have already heard from me and in some other books. After two weeks, after two weeks, you will say something has come to you: very peace, harmony, energies, and concentration. After two weeks. But concentrate when I tell you: only three times, maximum five times, because sometimes they like it very much, and this is the samījī, "I will do more, more." Please do not go more than five. Now, brahmārī. Prāṇāyāms are not only one; there are many different variations. There is one more, for example, I gave you many times one you like. First, I will tell you. Chew your teeth a little and close your mouth. Place your index fingers in your ears, and your elbows should be at the level of your shoulders. Then bring your attention from this to our ears. Now close your mouth. But you bring it out with your hands. I will do it only so you will see how to do it. Take a deep breath, keep your teeth in the middle. If someone’s teeth are broken, it will be fine. I will tell you that next time. So, let us go there. Deep inhale, three times only. After a while, you will see complete peace inside, harmony. No tensions, no headache, and much more. Also, we will come to this when we are going to the Iḍā, Piṅgalā, Suṣumnā. If you cannot, then you will have a second step. This was only going directly straight to the Bindu, Bindu Chakra. When we leave it loose, or our ribs closed, then it will completely come to the Sahasrāra Cakra. Bindu Chakra and Sahasrāra Chakra. The Bindu Chakra, from the left hemisphere, is mostly active when somebody gets diagnosed. So now you do it, but with your teeth in the middle. Three times. Then after this, for three seconds or three minutes, be peaceful, silent, relaxed, eyes closed. How do you feel in your brain? Close your eyes. Elbows relaxed. Shoulders relaxed. Stomach relaxed. Back relaxed, no tension. Second step, the next step: our teeth are wet, lips together, and again come. So, how will we feel until the whole part of the brain? Those who sometimes have headaches—many, many people—if you do it for one month, that will go away. But you have to drink more water. Headache is mostly because you do not drink water. Okay, so we will relax the temple from here. Relax. Close your ears and eyes. Close your eyes and keep your fingers in there, but relax. Good. Hari Om. The third step, although the best, very good, is mostly for children also, or someone who cannot concentrate properly. Then we have to bring into our brain such a kind of energy that it will come from within. We will do this just now, and it is just like this. Pressing, relaxing, but it should be like a cobra. Yes. Yeh apne kaan mein hona chahiye. Okay? Like this, yes. Yeah, like this. Yeh hai na? Yes. And then after this, now lower your hand, please. I will show you for one, two, or three times, okay? Make the sound from the ears. Do not take any sound from outside. How? Open your eyes. Yes, like this. Very good, thank you. Of course, you did it very quickly. Slowly, completely. Your mouth opened and opened. So, for children, for small children, this is very good. There will be concentration. So these three, I give in three months to other people. I will go here, and then you will see Mahārāj. But you should not do all three techniques. Only one technique. Only three times or maximum five times. And once in the morning, after bathroom and everything, and before lunch, and before going to sleep if you want to do three times; otherwise, only once. Many people who have sound in the ear all the time, and like this, for many, many people... you will see that Brahmārī will release everything for you. Aapne abhi jo dekha hai, jab ye thoda hī abhyās kiyā hai apne, lekin kaisā achā lag rahā hai nā? You feel better? Well, next time we will come. Until I am coming, we will practice, or I will send you through other lectures, maybe in other countries, but you will hear from that. And in that, ariyoṁ nirvāṇa bhavan kī jai.
