Always be positive

The sun of life and the honey of purity illuminate the path. All spiritual practice is devotion to the divine, beyond divisions of country or religion. The human form is equal, and love must extend to all creatures. Substances like alcohol can be medicine or poison depending on use and knowledge, just as sectarian views of God create division where unity exists. The sun is always present, just as the inner sun of life exists in all beings, seeking joy. Following guidance prevents suffering. Human desire, unlike animals, is endless; action should protect all life. Negative thinking creates suffering, while purity, like pure honey that does not cling, is essential. The heart and body will pass, but one should remain in joy and purity, allowing impurities to fall away.

"Arguing over whose God is best creates big problems. If it is like that, then we are not for that highest, supreme reality, where all gods are one."

"Pure honey, when it drips, does not stick. If it is not real honey but just from sugar, it will stick. This is the difference."

Dear brothers and sisters, all our yoga in daily life, the yoga practiced in centers, and all spiritual people across the world who follow the Sanātana Dharma—this means they are all devoted to the gods, each according to their own belief. In this time, we must come together and pray to God. We should not think in terms of this country or that country, or of different religions, but of those who give love to all creatures. It does not matter what kind of creatures—animals included—and to see purity in every human. The human body is equal in form, as we see. But then, what is this love for all if we eat animals? Drugs or alcohol, if one drinks a lot, they lose their life. Alcohol can be a medicine; for example, now during corona, we all clean our hands with alcohol. This originates from the time of Śiva, when he asked from the ocean. What lies under the ocean is unbelievable, unbelievable. We can see many, many things. Śiva spoke of the churning of the ocean, and through that, whatever emerged was like a medicine or something. It is said even poison… we often see in a medical shop a sign written: "Please don’t touch, it is poison." There are different kinds of medicines, but the one who knows may touch it and administer it; otherwise, it can kill us. So poison exists, and that poison can also save our life. But when and how? Similarly, in our human experience, what do we want to know and where should we come? We come to the gods. Which god? You know, everyone in many different countries perceives their religion. But we people ask, "Is my God the best?" That creates big problems. If it is like that, then we are not for that highest, supreme reality, where all gods are one. Now we are here in the evening, after sunset, and we have prayers. It is a dark night already, but at some distance, the sun is still there. There is another part where the sun is rising, so it means the sun is everywhere. We do not know, and therefore we say it is night, light or dark. Light and dark are different too. This is what we are talking about: the sun. So the sun is always everywhere. But the second sun, which we have—all creatures have this, everyone—that is called life. And in that life, they want to live happy, healthy, and very joyful. Yesterday, I was telling a nice story from our Gurudev Sadguru Swami Mādhavānandajī Bhagavān. Holī Gurujī has a very beautiful book containing many great teachings. This is very great. So we shall, at this time with Corona… there is nothing that is not good. But sometimes people say, "No, I don’t want a mask," and so on. Then it happens: Corona attacks. Then they say, "Yes, please, please give me the mask." So, if we follow guidance, we will not suffer, and that means not only from outside but from within our body. When you are thinking about a person, how do you think of them? Someone will say, "No, this is not good. This person working in my house, building it, is not good," and so on. That is negative thinking. Someone has it like that. So there are two kinds: either someone is taking away, stealing, or someone, in a different kind of desire, wants to get more back, thinking, "I will take it." This is the way now. It is said that animals, when they eat, and birds too, when their stomach is full, they leave and go. But we humans have no end. If we do something, it should be for the protection of all humans and also for animals. This protective building is for all. Suddenly, one dies, but the building will not die. So someone will be in that building; let him enjoy it as it is. The good things in life—what can we feel if we are real? Thinking negatively… for example, we are sitting in this hall with many people. I am speaking, but others may say, "No, it’s not like that." Of course, I am not a god, I am not very high. I am my Gurudev’s servant, but I do not have those negative thoughts. All is like one, but perhaps some of it is not, and that is a problem. That whole life will be suffering. We can read many books and holy books, all the Vedas and everything, but if within our self, in our heart or brain, there is purity… There are many bees, many flies, but honeybees bring something very nice, sweet, and very clean. When honeybees bring honey and a drip falls on your leg or your cloth, it will not stick to it. It will drip off. If it is not real honey but just from sugar, it will stick to the body. This is the difference. Like the honey from honeybees, it gives to us. We eat it and it does not stick to our bodies or cloth. So we give, and we do not give. To give and not to give is very different. But we take, and when we are full, we still want to take more. That is the difference. So the heart… one day the heart will go, our body will go. But God has given His body for all to follow in this human life, and we shall remain happy. Joy clears, and we should not do something different. So it is: see that if anything falls on my dress, it will drip down, or you can flick it and it will go away. But dust and black things will stick to our bodies. So we should not have any black things, only purity. If you say otherwise, then we lose a day. Something goes a different way. And so, there are the beautiful bhajans of our Gurudevs, and we shall now see the bhajan here. Bhajan is the greatest of all our powers, as Gurujī was saying. Deepnayan Bhagwan, Jai.
