It is said that one should not look at the sun when it is dark, as it is very bad for the eyes. One should also not sit in the open and gaze at it. There is much negative energy, and the sun will not remain long in that dark state; it is very inauspicious. Many say that when we are outside and energy comes from the sun, if our clothes are black, they attract a great deal of negative energy. When the sun emerges clean again, we should wash all our clothes and cleanse our entire bodies. Some people wash everything and then give items away. Perhaps you speak of giving alms or something similar, but you must clean first and then give. As long as the sun casts a shadow, you should not look at it; it is harmful to our eyes. The moon changes twice—over five days, or rather, in cycles of twelve days. On both sides, we perform a praṇām, a ceremonial offering. The full moon possesses great energy, as do other phases, though it is a little different. In Jyotiṣa, the system follows the moon and its constellations. Everyone consults it, regardless of who they are—for weddings, for the birth of a child, or to determine when an event should occur. Timing is very important according to Jyotiṣa. There are two paths: through the moon, which is very good and true, and through the sun, which others in the West may use, but it is not precisely as good as the moon. It is said that for a wedding, one should look to the moon's constellations for the man and woman. It is not only about their health, beauty, or how they are; otherwise, they may not be happy all their lives. But from these lunar constellations, it is determined. It is also said that the timing of ceremonies depends on when girls and boys are born. There is so much to it. Then it is said that a man and a woman may be emotionally aligned, but the feeling may sometimes be like that between father and mother—so much love. I do not mean exactly like a mother and her children, but the woman gives great dedication. Not merely love, but dedication. Similarly, the man possesses the dedication of a father. And what the children have will also come under the best constellations. Thus, the man and woman live together happily in life. Why? Because this comes from the constellations of the moon. Sūrya, the sun, is acceptable, but the moon is very important. So it is with Jyotiṣa. Jyotiṣa is the greatest. I think if someone is truly genuine, the moon and Jyotiṣa are very, very good. Jyotiṣa is profoundly deep and beneficial. My father and my brother, Vighrahaṁ, were told, "This will happen on this day." This and that will occur. Śāntī, you know your Vighrahaṁ, right? Yes. Holī Gurujī also. I did not take up Jyotiṣa, but Holī Gurujī said, "Mahesh"—that was his name—"you do not need any Jyotiṣa. You have everything, Gurujī. I must do something about it." "No, no. Everything I have, Mahāprabhujī has made everything clear for you." Still, the constellations are very, very important. When we go somewhere—the next day or the day after—wherever we go, we should see the constellations first and then proceed. Perhaps we will continue, meaning we say that when we go where we should not go, we should stay a little. And on any given day, how many different constellations there are is very important to know. There is the full moon and the other moon, which is not a moon—the nine moons. Nine, meaning nothing at all. The next day, or the third day, it comes again. This means that one day consists of night and day, which is the sun, and then there is the sun and moon. When it comes like this, of course, the light is too strong from the sun, and the moon is that. Then it comes a little, and after two more days, we all know it well. The best metal to have is silver, not gold. Sometimes, not the sun, not gold, not this, but iron. And with iron, we must have a ring. But you must know when, otherwise it can also become negative on the other side. Constellations are the twelve constellations for each person. So, under which was one born? I am a lion. Others are something else—others, others, everything. My constellation is a lion. Holī Gurujī, my brother, and my father said something else: "Either you will not live long, you will die, or you will go back and forth, and you will not be a sannyāsī, a spiritualist." And it will be so. My father said to my mother when I was very little... And in winter, the sun sets at what time? Five or four? Five. And when the sun rises, it is seven. In summer, it is completely different. This gives great energy, and everyone knows what it should be. So, someone may say they like Jyotiṣa and so on, but it does not work. And when we say that a constellation in the moon is not good, and so on, Jyotiṣa says everything is good, but one is theirs. So, an arrow comes like this and takes everything away. In my family, my father, my father's father, my brother, and my brother's son are different. Now they have gone to school, they can work, and so on. They do not know anything at all. Only two brothers remain—my grandchildren. One is a nephew, so my father and my uncle were good. The second one is still here, which is good—not perfect, but 90% is very good. Now my brother says this, and during this corona, he died two and a half months ago. He was here, but now no one is in this house. People come and only say, "Panditjī, please say it will be good." They come, and so on. Then my father, uncle, father... then the two families were born, and there is still one who is perfect. He speaks, and he has also learned Sanskrit very, very well. So, whenever someone needs a constellation or something, I call my uncle, and he provides it. He is old. Others are not like that. It goes slowly, slowly. Other people who have learned at university and so on—how can the Jyotiṣa of a university or any city be authentic? It is from Gargācārya, Maharṣi Gargācārya. That Maharṣi Gargācārya is Jyotiṣa. Śiva and Pārvatī's marriage was arranged in a seminary—a seminar, not a seminar. Gargācārya arranged the marriage of Śiva and Pārvatī. And Kṛṣṇa's father and Kṛṣṇa's son—Kṛṣṇa is Kṛṣṇa's—all their ceremonies were performed by Gargācārya. There are the Ṛṣis, the Sapta Ṛṣis. Sapta Ṛṣi means the seven great holy sages. The Sapta Ṛṣi is said to be the seven stars, and they are there for us. Here, it is something different, and from there come the Sapta Ṛṣis. From the seven ṛṣis, like children, more ṛṣis come. From these ṛṣis, Gargācārya is one of the best. From him, how many constellations Gargācārya has given, and where these people were born—he has all of this. From that, they all exist. It is said this was not about caste, but about constellations—when, how, and how it will be. Very important, and it is still the case. When I was a child, I saw how many I have in my constellation of ṛṣis and gurūcāryas. They are from Gargācāryas, many, many. They are everywhere. Where are they? No, they will only marry within this constellation or this one from the Gargācāryas. Whichever ṛṣis, and from there they will not marry. But now, in this Kali Yuga, what he said... from some ṛṣis and from some ṛṣis, the other... how many ṛṣis I brought with me, and then the other ṛṣis, nothing but the other, these from this and that—hila hulu, as you say in German. A ṛṣi, in British or this... What do you do when you make rice and this and that? What do you say? Yes, but what is it called? Ṛṣi-biṣi. Ṛṣi-vṛṣi, exactly. The others are all ṛṣi-vṛṣi. So they have a problem. This man does not fit, and the others, the girls or women, they do not fit either. But they only have emotions; they say, "Yes, they are young," and so on, and they were together. But even the children are not right, and the mother or father is different. So we see where the mother is, where the father is, where the children are, and what else will be. This Jyotiṣa is very good. He is very old now, of my father's age. When I asked him, "Give me your Jyotiṣam," he took it and said, "I cannot, you are..." I said, "No, no, don't tell me, please." But I wanted to. His son is a professor, retired for 10 years and 10 months. He has no job this summer, but he is out. There are many people who have done this and gotten married, and so on. But when we saw the constellations, so is the moon. That is why we speak of the full moon and the dark moon, and others. So that was today. I think there are many. Many have Jyotiṣa, very, very much. But it is, how do you say, they are the... I thought, yes, this is a new generation. The new generation does everything no matter what—blim-blam, blim-trick—and this and that. That is how you say when you should... what color your clothes should be, when you should do it, how you wear it, what color, and that. Many, many things. The husband and wife come together like a mother and child, a father and child—a family, good, very good. If we had not come through Jyotiṣa, we would see problems all over the world. It is a problem. So today is full moon, and I think I will say to someone, my uncle, I should say... Somebody can come for 10 months or really, really, and then we will continue to go. When I died, we had a doctor, a professor, and many others—everything. Very great scientists, but when they do not know, they have only written, and it is gone. Und auch so. The best thing was zu hören, the Bhagavad Gītā. In the Bhagavad Gītā, no one can change, no one can change the Bhagavad Gītā. And it should be for us all to learn that, to come, okay?
