We are all in one

Yoga in daily life reveals the oneness of all existence.

The bhajan given originates from Mahāprabhujī, addressed to Guru Dev, expressing a journey to a world without problems. Bhajans come from the heart of saints, in many languages. There are countless chakras in the body, especially at joints, from Mūlādhāra to Sahasrāra, each holding great knowledge. Energy moves through these points, seen in the quick fingers of musicians. Chakras exist everywhere on earth, like a serpent moving. The knee joint contains a powerful chakra, which weakens without care. Each chakra associates with animals and deities: Śiva-Śakti, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Lakṣmī. Trees also have joints and energy; we draw from them. The eyes are precious, perceiving color and distance, shared by animals and trees. The voice travels far; bodily care and proper eating are vital. In Kali Yuga, be good, give freedom, like a child returning to its mother. At sunset, animals and birds return to their nest. Keep your nest clear and return to it. Opening your eyes, you see the whole world and become one with it. Your life is my life, and my life is your life. The mother’s stomach nourishes all, home is where the heart resides, and yoga in daily life is oneness: all in one and one in all.

“O Gurudev, let me go to that world where there is no coming, no problems.”

“My life is your life, and your life is my life, and we all in oneness we will come.”

Śubhara me cā luṅsā unade, antar jāmī me chā, Narbhudās bhajan. This is the bhajan given to you. Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Dev Puruṣa Mahādeva. Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān Kī Jai. This bhajan was written by Mahāprabhujī himself, and he was speaking to Devpurījī: “Guru Dev, I am here, and I will come to thee, O my Lord, O Guru Dev.” Every time you sing this bhajan, you understand its meaning. All the bhajans we have come from great saints. Many holy saints wrote in Hindi, Gujarati, and Sanskrit. In Sanskrit, there are nearly forty languages, and among them there is about sixty to seventy percent difference in language—a kind of distance, as Gurudev said. “Guruvar, me chalun sa on this. O Gurudev, let me go to that world where there is no coming, no problems. Forever and ever, I am in that such a world in Europe.” So many bhajans, and also in other countries, in different religions, they made very beautiful bhajans in their own languages—and that is very great. He has written many books, and this is done by humans. Writing a bhajan is not easy; it comes only from the heart, and in the throat is the kaṇṭha, and from the kaṇṭha it comes out. According to the real yogic tradition, there are many chakras. And this chakra, what we think and see, is not like that. Yet good people thought very well, understood, and made very beautiful pictures or representations. We know there are hundreds of chakras in the body—in the whole body, wherever we have joints, there are chakras inside, many, many. But they are brought together, and the chakras from Mūlādhāra to the Sahasrāra chakra, including the Bindu, are also in different joints in the body and in the temple. Each chakra holds very much knowledge. We see only one: our hand, our fingers, and thumb. It looks like this, and we move something—the fingers of one hand. How quickly? And both hands? Piano, or our harmonium? We know how many times we move our fingers. And when one tongue or one finger goes like this, you know? Then we cannot go. Yes. These are all chakras. All this energy. And we know we have in our foot, soul. There are so many points, and they are like chakras. So, you all know very well how many times our bodies cover, close and open, close and up. In that way, we see the chakras on the earth, and something like a snake moving everywhere, at every point. So, this is the earth, and these are the animals, trees, and vegetation. There is a very, very powerful chakra in the knee. But when we are eighty, ninety years old, then our joints say, “My friend, you did not take care of me, you did not put more oil inside,” etc. So, vegetables and like this, and from the thighs to the animals, and then after coming, our chakras—each chakra has animals, points, and Śiva-Śakti, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, they also have their Lakṣmī. Thus in our whole body. And we can say that these big trees also have many joints, power, energy. We are taking from them; thus we are using or losing. How many of you know more than me? I think more than me, I don’t know. Many doctors, and… what is very precious are our eyes. Think what God has made, these eyes. We see color, see distance. But these trees also have eyes. Animals also have eyes. And our voice, how far we go with our sound. And if we all do this—what I am telling you, more than me, you are doing, you know. Do we take care of our body? Then it is also that we should take care of what we should eat and what we should not eat. And so it is that in this Kali Yuga, there are many, many different things. See yourself. If there is nothing, oh, you will be great, and I am great—don’t think about this. But be good to others. Give freedom to others. Let them free, because it’s like a child when it’s born. The child moves, works, walks, goes here and there, but comes back to the mother. The cows and animals, they come at sunset—all come. And when the birds come to their nest, they are so happy, and they sleep there. Then again they fly. So we have our nest, and we should be there. Our nest we should keep clear. We should go, but come back. Many times, you know, people say, when someone dies far away, how bad a place? Mostly, people bring the dead body to their village and perform ceremonies there. That is called the mother. We came from the mother, and again we came into the mother’s body—because of the mother village. Understand, and that’s why we are together. We are sitting here. You are very dear to me, and you are very dear to me, and I am very dear to you. When eyes open, how many do we see? Not only people, try to do: close your eyes and open them. What did you see? We saw you all: many earth, grass, different trees, branches, colors. That is our world. Immediately, we are with one. And in that, we should know that we are there. My life is your life, and your life is my life, and we all in oneness we will come. So what you have learned today in your anuṣṭhāna, in yoga practice and working—many were cooking very good—where there is good, then it is like this. We all go to the mother for food. And when they drink, they leave. Mother is called mother’s stomach. So our stomach is the mother’s stomach. And mother is giving many, many things. When we eat something, at one point, it goes into the stomach—and what our Stomach Mother is giving to everyone. So, wife, husband, children, parents, and our home. Everywhere is a good home, but my home. In the evening, we come to where these birds are. Now, we are in an aeroplane. We have breakfast here, and dinner is in America, and sleeping in Mexico, the end of Mexico. Yes, these are the instruments. But when we come, we telephone home: the father or mother or your husband or wife, “I am here, I arrived, very good, thank you, don’t worry, I am okay.” And when they come back, how happy they are—oh, my home. But now it’s Kali Yuga. They don’t think anything. One house, take another’s house, this house. See, they give it to someone, everything. But still, when you are there and you are thinking, you know, in Czechoslovakia, on Christmas Day, one person said he was in a war. On Christmas Eve, with parents, with his family, but he is now sitting somewhere in the snow, in the forest, and where are they all? Where is my home? Home, yes. And so, finally, again, our heart is there. Our soul will come with us. You know, my heart is in you and your heart is in me, if you want. You know that my heart is in you and your heart is in me. If you want, I have given it to you. So that is our yoga in daily life: that we are one in all, and all in one. Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Nākī Dev Puruṣa Mahādevakī. Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān Nākī Alakhpurījī Mahādevakī.
