The relation between Guru and disciple

The grace of the Satguru is the sole means to the supreme state, dissolving all conflict and revealing the indestructible self. Through the Guru's grace, one is immersed in bliss, and all faults are washed away. The Guru's lineage carries this divine authority. The Guru transmits the essential teaching, sometimes through a single word that blossoms into full understanding. A true disciple embodies the Guru's presence, becoming a conduit for that grace. The relationship is demonstrated through obedience, as in the disciple who faithfully goes for alms as instructed. The bond between Guru and disciple is eternal, transcending material offerings and physical presence. The Guru's work is like a seed that bears fruit across generations, propagating the truth.

"Through the Satguru's grace, my great conflict is dissolved."

"The one who has a Guru, that Guru is the one who is one."

Of course, we have to talk from time to time, everywhere. But let us see, because our Gurudev, Bhagavān Madhavānandajī, was making so many madhan, mantra, and mahas, and everything. And Bhagavān Mahāprabhujī was giving some words today. Then Mahāprabhujī said to Mādhavānjī, "So, really, Mahāprabhujī made a very good Mahāprabhujī." And Mahāprabhujī said to Mādhavānjī, and there it brings, and so comes the whole beautiful. So, only how he was doing, and that is Mahāprabhujī, he gave only one word. Okay, this one word, and make the whole, this bhajan, the whole, kitnā ho many. Now, how do you know? I’m thinking. Mahāprabhujī was talking sometimes, telling me or this. And so I can only tell that Mahāprabhujī was telling this to me, or like this. So that is what a guru is. Guru. A guru to guru. Guru. And when the Gurudev has given, and then you are a disciple of that, then you are exactly like a guru. And there, nowhere can you go, anything, and this and that. Many times you talk, and I can tell you also, and many people from Gujarat and other countries like this. And Mahāprabhujī was giving, often, sometimes, you know that, you know that Mahāprabhujī practiced. He was with Mahāprabhujī, and then one day, and you know, you have heard, everybody, and he made one lecture, one mantra, and this mantra, and this also. So, yes, I can tell you, Mahāprabhujī is telling me, and everybody knows, many, all that, many other people. So, what happened? No problem? Yeah, it’s good. So, Mahādeva, Bhagavān, Mahāprabhujī, and before that, Mahāprabhujī, our Mahāprabhujī, Madhavānandajī Bhagavān, He came to that Mahāprabhujī’s place, and he stayed there. It is very easy to think that it was not difficult for him, but we know that time. Now we can have just like this, and I said, "Oh yes, there and there and there." But that was not there, walking, going, very much. So he came to Mahāprabhujī, Devpurījī, Bhagavān, and he came. He met in Jodhpur, where there was that, no, no, not King’s Haryog. So, then it came to Jodhpur, and from Jodhpur, the Mahārājās were there. There were programs, and he lived there, I think, for two days, two days, or two days, two days... I think long ago, before Mahāprabhujī was there. And one day, Mahāprabhujī was just moving here, Mahāprabhujī, and Mādhavānandajī, then he was coming. Someone told him, "Mādhavānandajī, you can, but name, that was not that." That was another name, and that name I don’t want to tell you, and I don’t know, and we should not tell. Because that becomes Mahāprabhujī’s name, Mādhavānandjī. He’s young. It was not like that. So it is about, like me, I was also very little. I was not like this. And in that, like our Avatārpuri, our Phulpuri. So Phulpurījī, Phulpurījī, our Phulpurījī, that is how he went. His family is very good. His whole family is very good. And they were, of course, mostly working there, all in other places somewhere. And he went with him there. And then one day, he was also very young, a good young boy. I’m sorry, I did not ask about him, Mahārāj Jayā and Vivek. May he can tell me? I will tell him. I did not tell anybody, and I did not know how it is. So, I will tell him now, he will tell me, I am his Kartā, so he is his Kartā. So, after Mahāprabhujī, where did Mahāprabhujī come from? Kahā Se? Apne Unkī Ghar Se Nīpal Se. So then I got to Jodhpur, and in Jodhpur, he came to Mahāprabhujī’s, and we went together to Baḍīkhāṭū. In Baḍīkhāṭū, he was a young man, a very nice young man. Yeah, there is a, sorry. So, it’s not so, let’s say he also had not, like this, like me also. I went to America, and I did not like it so much, yeah, here is not at all. But something made here, and then they said, "But you should please, yeah." So I said, okay, so like this. Otherwise, nothing was there, little like him, like this. And so, I think that Gurujī was also like this. I tell Mahāprabhujī now, please, I am telling you what, and I did not know that time, but you are talking, and please, if I tell, it is, that is, is the very great. And myself also, you know, my... tomorrow, if I will speak, I will tell you something very nice, which is already in my book. They are writing it, she is writing my book there, so big, you know that? You know who is from... hand up, yes, yes. Who is born? You have seen, you are not there here, others, yeah. And now she told me, "Please, can you take it like this?" My, yeah, yes. And there is that everything from, and they put something in me, which I don’t want to tell. That is, but they put it in, really. That is. So, in that, with Mahāprabhujī, he went and became Mahāprabhujī’s. And there, what was that? Unko Mahāprabhujī was telling for bhikṣā. Really, I’m not anything; I’m telling bhikṣā. Ab na bhikṣā lene vālā, bahut kam log hai, bahut. Aise, dusre vo hai, dusre desh ke andar me udhar. Unkā jo hai, that is a bhikṣāṃ dehi, bhikṣāṃ dehi. And the small children in the school, they go to school in the morning. In the morning they go to school, and in the morning they go to school, and in the morning they go to school, and in the morning they go to school because my students, they did not come. Like that, you see, like that. And so, Mahāprabhujī, what does Mahāprabhujī need so many? Holy Gurujī once said, "Go and bring the bhikṣā." Bring the bhikṣā and eat it there. But what is that? So the Holy Guru, 100%, you can tell anybody then. So, Bikṣā dī, Bābjī ko diyā, Devpurījī Bābjī ne. De diyā, you rak de. Bojā khāne ke liye ānā hai. Le ke āye, to vo de diyā. I can use this. So, Kāg was eating, leave it here. Go and bring something, something to bring the wood and this and that, wood and this and that. And then Mahāprabhujī comes for something that is also. And then Mahāprabhujī said that, he said to Mahāprabhujī, and then Gurudev comes and says, Vastamai, kitnī bāt diyā, naī kitnī huwa, kyā karā, uske bād mein aur koī kām karnā to vaisā. Unkā jo Mahāprabhujī mere ko dhok imān use ke, tū kio kio ar mene me. Degīñ jo maiṅ kera hū, Bābjī nī kān, Bābjī hamsā kehne vāle the, Bābjī nī kitāb meṅ likhā huā hai. Phir dūsrī bāt, usko ṭoṛā kamar kar diyā thā. So, what I am telling you, so one day, after he was little, young, more older, he was older, and one day what happens? And he said, Mahāprabhujī said, "Abhikṣā, Jau," or there is a little house was there, and it was very hot, and Gurujī, he was sitting backside of the house. And Mahāprabhujī said, "Go, go to the alms house, go ahead." Now Bābājī said, "Where will I go?" I am here with Bābājī, and there you go to get alms, right? Always, everyone is always in the place. Now, where am I? Who do I know? There are two or three of them in my bus, and this is the intention of these people. In that, he said, "Go, get alms." That is done. And then he said, "Son, you have to come, but go." Then Mahāprabhujī was a little bit. But from there, Mahāprabhujī went to Baḍīkhāṭū, Choṭīkhāṭū, and beyond that there is another village, right? Where is it? It was Devī Siṅghjī, right? No, it is not Gautam. In Badhāpṛā, Bābajī reached there. When he went ahead, a sage, Ṭhākur Sāheb Baḍā, went there to take alms. He said, "Come, come, come. Okay, eat your food." I will go ahead. No, no... stay for a while. Babjī said he went to the āśram, where Devī Siṅgh Jī is present now. From there, so many people came after Bābājī, and everyone loved him so much. He used to come for bhajans. Everyone used to come to Gurudev, and they still do today. So from there, Bābājī had many, many people. Every, this, this, other, other, that other, there was Mahāśvarānandajī. All people were there. He said, "He’s such a nice person," and how he was thin and like this and that, in this. But always after a few days, he would again come to Mahāprabhujī, and so on. And in this, this is the bhikṣā, artha. But Gurū Dev always used to say, You will not be able to do anything. You are there, you are here, he is there. He Kevalam He Kevalam... Bāpūjī ke sāth mein to vahā par bhī huā to usī prakār jo ṣaṭ saṅgh, ṣaṭ saṅgh jo hotīye, vo saṅgh mein jo hotā hai vo uskā hī hotā hai, aur vahī ek mā kā baccā hotā hai. To hamesā vo uske māt tak jo vo raitī hai, jab tak vān raī gaī. Today, what is done is that this happened. We stayed together for a month or two, then that man left, or that woman left for Lurki. Now, what is this sorrow? This sorrow is happening, this sorrow, this sorrow is happening. So that is why I said his bhajan of... Today, I said, second, what did I say? I said about bhajan, Gurudev’s Mahāprabhujī. So Mahāprabhujī said, "You don’t know this, Bābājī used to say this. Bābājī used to say this, and there was also this, that Mādhavānandajī used to say this 100%. What is it to me?" If I don’t know what it is to him, that when Bābājī came, then Mahāprabhujī went to sleep, so Mādhavānandajī stayed there. When he was standing, when Mahāprabhujī was like sleeping, he thought that Gurujī, Mahāprabhujī, is sleeping, and I will go to sleep. Mahāprabhujī will never do, yes? So many times, Bābājī would go to sleep. As soon as he did this, he stood there. He was standing. Mahāprabhujī was standing, not speaking, and not moving, eyes closed. Only that Gurudev said, he was standing next to him and Bābājī took his sleep. Then, after a little while, after an hour or two hours, Bābājī said, "You haven’t woken up yet, go to sleep." No, Bābājī, I am for you. It is written in Bābājī’s books, maybe in some other book, it is written once and given. So, the one who has a Guru, that Guru is the one who is one, and within him, what has to be done, what has to come, then that bhajan which you just sang, I had said that he has to sing one bhajan. I did not say that; I only said that there should be such a bhajan today. That I want to take out this and sing. All day we are singing. Of course, we are singing very much. Therefore, we are in our bhajans, and then, other ones I want to tell you. And this is all when we are singing. We sing very well, everything. But we have to get somehow to sing, and just a few words, sent. Shamsend, Shamsend, like, those who sing, they sing once, "Satguru Swāmījī Mare, Mare, Satguru Re." I don’t know this exactly, because I cannot sing, you people can sing, so, "Lelo Re Mare Satgururī." My Satguru is like this. Is that right? Why, Thākur Sāhib? You do bhajans, don’t you? You play bhajans, don’t you? Yes, I have played bhajans. They know how to do it, and you are from other countries, so how can they not know? At least they can see everything is very good. Everything is good. But this is my, is now, so Mahāprabhujī, Mahāprabhujī, Devpurījī, Bhagavān ko jo kyā, to jaisī mere ko Mahāprabhujī ne, Mahāprabhujī ko jaisī kyā, jaisī Mādhāvānandajī Bābajī ko, uske mai ab sochtā hū, ke mai bharabar kar rihon ke nahī Bābajī ke liye, And this is what will happen, and so many of our foreigners, I say this, in Europe, India is okay, in India is okay, we know that from our India, that I know my disciples, Gurū Devjī knows me, but those who are in whole other countries, and there, my disciples, there, you cannot think. All are very great, yes. And just nearly five children—children means people—in this, when I came at that time, from that time, otherwise eight or three, the many, many families and everything. So spirituality is that gone in after it. And you know that my many disciples are here, very good. But one of my disciples is sitting here in me, and I will do anything. I tell him, "Stand up here, I will come," so he will be standing all the time. And go there and work there, he is there. And this is sitting here, there. He knows this, but he’s upstairs. Yeah? Who? You? Stand up. Yeah? No, no, no. Yes, this is. And he was very young, and he went from Vienna, from the Czech. And from Czech, he went to Czechoslovakia, or America. And in America, and how many times. And all the while, I then went, and then I went there. I went to him, and he was standing. I was coming out. All the times, how many things? He had something—not very good, this or that—but all the times, the best. And all of them, the best, and many times. Part 2: The Seed of the Guru And still, here it is. I think I will now make him a good sannyāsī. Yes, I still have something. Ah, that is something, so it will be good. It is all. Many have said, "I want to become a sannyāsī," but to many people I have said no. But to some, then, I know who is like that. So among my many, there are these, okay. Anyhow, why am I not going to tell so many things? I am telling you which bhajan you will push me to, that is now, okay? Yes, please. Or you will have the Mahāprabhujī bhajan from Mahāprabhujī? Yes? After you, and then he can do. Yeah. Kī Jai Sanātana Dharma Kī Devpurī Samādeva Kī Jai, Kī Jai, Śivānandjī Mahārāj, Kī Jai. Guru Nārāyaṇa āye, Śrī Dharma Sanātana pālana karaṇā, Guru Nārāyaṇa āye. I will tell you one thing that Holī Gurujī, Madhavānandjī Bābājī, and Gurujī told, about what happened to whom. That avatāra, the doer of all, this doer, after doing all that, goes home, or stays home one day. One day, his disciple said, "Gurujī, I will go somewhere, which valley, near Jodhpur, he went towards Delhi." He said, "I want to go." And they said, "You go, go... but what will you do?" Yes, this is very good. You can see in Mahāprabhujī, you know, someday you will know after that. Well, one evening, when people were in the satsaṅg, they said, "Where is your disciple also?" So he is always coming and then here. He said, "Well, I’m telling you the reality, not making anything up." And so he said, "I will go and come," and I’m going, Guruji. So he went to that. Well, I will come on this. He will come now. He will come now. He will come now. He will come now, and he doesn’t have anything. He said, "Well, he said, everybody said, ’Your disciple is very good,’ and this and that, and ’Where he goes, we don’t know,’ and happening." And he said, "Well, everybody is like this, it’s all right." But one day, after how many, how many—three, four, five years or something—So, what was this? One day, his telephone—there was no telephone—letter. And this letter he wrote to Gurudev: "I am pleased in this aeroplane—not aeroplane, the train—in the train, and very good, and this, this." Well, he took the one very nicely to bring there, and on the train, after his coming step, and he was standing, he is a student, he is a bhakta. He was like this and this and that. About ten people were with him, this boy. And they are all standing like good, because they are very great people for that heat. They came and brought it home. What a house, so big a house. This and that, how many people are there working, and this and that. He said, "What is my disciple like this, and now so great?" He said, "No, Gurudev, make a prayer, āratī, everything, and many things, good things, everything." And some people said, "Now your Gurujī will give so much money for something that we will be here." He said, "Okay, we don’t know. Good eating, this, that, always, Gurudev." And then one day he said, Gurudev said to him, "I am going back to the ashram." And yes, that I go back to my ashram. He said, "Okay, Gurudev." He brought some cloth and this and that. And they brought a train. He came down the train, and he gave nothing, nothing, gave anything, and like this, and well, Gurujī was a little bit, my disciple is, I think, confused, he is not, he gave nothing, good eating, gave this and that, and now he said, "Give the money for the train," and then he said, "You are my disciples," and this and I. It was for the ashram, and he said, "Gurudev, I have not done enough, but only this, Gurujī, so many rupees, so much money." And he said, "What? You didn’t tell me till now?" He said, "Guru Dev, till now the train is going, and then I give you so much." Guru Dev, you gave me so much. He said, "There is nothing, Guru Dev. I will give more again." And then he went, he came back to his ashrams, and he told the people, "Then my disciple was so great, I think he was not, but then so much money, very good, but he brought me till the, in the train, and till nothing is given, and then it was coming, and so Guru is the Guru and disciples." Is the disciples, what they have, they all together doesn’t matter even, connections is always there. And so Mahāprabhujī told this very nicely, and I don’t think Gurujī told you once, you heard this? Yes? So what I tell is not, is the truth. I don’t make some joke, and that Mahāprabhujī was telling this, and he was telling now, because he knows, I know, many who know, and he books also in the books, maybe in some what Mahāprabhujī told. So, therefore, it is one; that one is there, then one is there. When the mother gives to the child, and the child receives more, all of this is good. Everybody will tell, but the mother and the child know for their whole life. Maybe anywhere you are, but you are like the father or the mother, whatever the mother is saying. So, in this, in my telling, that in all my world, which are good disciples, you cannot imagine how much it is, you cannot. But somebody who is something like coming out, but then they are again coming back, then to a certain height, very much. This is in that which is like mother, father and mother, and then the child comes. Then we know that we are there. And there we will be everywhere, but that we are there. He knows where they are, these two boys, our brothers. They are both brothers, and they are there, but where he was, how he remained in other countries, and I was with him in those countries, and there, how much and how it comes to me. And that was in the midst of that time, you know, that we talked on this stage. We got this land, we got this land, and we wanted to make something, and we wanted to have made this. And really, I will tell you that a few people, and someone, European persons, and when he... When I went, Holī Gurujī was here. Some people were there, and I went. But Yogījī, he was there, stayed in this tree here, in this house here, and something. And there was one boy and one other one, and Yogījī, he was a very nice boy, man, you know? So, not dressed like this, but in normal clothing, yeah? And that was so that I went, and then he was really, I can tell you, I remember, I remember his hair. And then he was, he was a little bit, he went to the grass somewhere, and he was a little bit sad. On those days, and all from that is from him, all the times, all the times, he has so much work, very nice in his country, he can do so much, but he went from that time until now. This is a very great thing, that is one of the first, who is one of the best was there, yes? Yes, and then his mother, because I knew her mother at that time, and she is the mother, the father, I don’t know how much was gone or this, but the mother, and then there are other brothers, this, they are twins, they are both there, and again he became a sannyāsī, he becomes a sannyāsī, they are here. And how many things there were, not so much money, there was nothing. But that is not all. And that he thinks, and not only this, but he has what we have done. What we have done here, and this will go further everywhere. We are, one day we will go, but this, that should remain here. And it will remain all the time. Madhavānandajī Bābājī kā hai, mahā se Madhavānandajī Bābājī ko dilāyā ye land yahāṁ se from Jodhpur, mahā se. And from there, how many, how is it going like this and still coming, working? Mahāprabhujī is here all the time and with everyone. And so, it is something like one scent, a little, little seed. Where is the seed? But this one makes that and comes again, a little other fruit. And one fruit, and how many seeds are there? And when it will go into this, which we are. This is what I was thinking to tell you. And many, many things sometimes come in the mind. All the men who come are elderly, right? Then comes something slowly, slowly, and perhaps in my, in this, in this... in the Corona, in the Corona site. And from there, something happens too. But I’m packing, I’m coming, I’m going, I’m foreign, everything. Otherwise, I cannot speak now. I’m speaking, I’m telling, I know that, and I this and so. So that is a Satguru. So, Gurudev, once more, one by one. It is like this, for example, let’s say for two or three children, brothers, all brothers or sisters, and they all come. Yes, they saw it with the mothers, but when it is coming out, and how they live, and one brother, and this other one, house, and this brother. House, and like this, all cannot be all this one. And I will tell next time, or maybe I myself will also tell how I am coming, with difficulty or no difficulty. And so is that our Swamiji Mahāmaṇḍaleśvarānanda, his family is great, mother, wife, children, everything good. And he went into the other very far with his whole family. Or this was in the village where your worker, Śiva, was going—Madhya Pradesh, Madhya, Madhya. And, of course, there’s milk and this and everything and all things. But after some time, something happens to him, and that... Because I will, I know that everything is my family, good, everything, but now is my mother, my everything, but I am coming further. And sometimes from there, he ran away, I think. So he did not go anywhere, and however he walked this way and that, he came back and got a house here. And then here also not, he was coming, and then many things switched. But then he went to listen to some spiritual sadhus, to go to the sadhus, I don’t know, one or this and like that. And then again he goes, and that comes, he was with two, three sādhus, he was already. But then it was coming very nicely, and to our ashram here, I am going to the old region, other countries, and he was with the holy Gurujīs. Still not a sanyāsī. And how much work, how much doing. And the best is that he will be the one, by the best. And that is that. For, yes, go sit down here, eat there, eating this, work, come on, and like this, like this. But he is so strong, it doesn’t matter what is happening or how it can be, but I will be with my Gurujī here. And it was very good, no feeling this and that, but different things. He was... this other thing I will not tell, that is too much long now. And until that, that became the sannyāsī name, and until that, now he is very great with us. So, then somebody is coming very nicely with money or good cloth, and they’re sitting there and become my disciples, and sit with me beside or this. It will remain one year or two years or something, no? Many, many came with Gurujī, many, many. But where are they coming? So, Satguru, and it is that. Where is that? So maybe it was like this in last years, and now in this year again it’s coming to there, and then is there, and now there. How we have to do? When today somebody told me very nice, because we could also tell, a great person told me that, you know, in our Indian or in our own, that everything is there, but without Guru, Satguru... It will not be to the Paramātmā. Even if we are very good, we have to go again because we have no Guru. And therefore, Śiva, after Śiva, what comes next is Śiva, who later is the Guru, the Satguru. Finally, the first is that, and therefore, if we don’t have a Satguru, then we will go to, again, different ones. And that’s why in our Indian tradition, the whole of India is that. And there, how it is coming? And those who will not take that Guru in that way, then it doesn’t matter how it is, we will have to go back again. This one person very nicely, it was great. So he was telling me there, we know we are telling, but this one Panhu was there here to tell, and that yes, that is, we have to have this. For the guru, we have to be a good friend; we have to have everything in this way. But finally, then, it has to come to this guru, param. That’s it, like that. So, is that enough for today? Tomorrow we will speak about something. Hari Om. Apadāriye, Hari Om Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī, Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī, Satguru Bhagavān Kī, He Prabhu, Hari Om, Śānti, Śānti, Śānti Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī, Devpurīśa Mahādevakī, Mādhvanjī Bhagavān Kī, Alakhpurī Jī Mahādevakī, Mātā Pitā Gurudev, Satya Sanātana Dharmakī, Om Śānti Śānti...
