Guru gives us the ultimate liberation

The grace of the Guru is supreme, and the āśrama serves the entire world. Through yoga, one can attain the ultimate reality, bringing the world within. There is no element greater than devotion to the Guru, in whom resides the highest truth. The Bhagavad Gītā teaches that the divine is seated in the heart of all, the source of knowledge and the remover of doubt. Skillfulness in action leads to perfection. This teaching is beyond religions; it is a way of living.

"There is nothing greater than guru-bhakti. There is no element in the world greater than this."

"I am seated in the heart of all; from Me come memory, knowledge, and the removal of doubts."

Sri Gurudev’s feet are abundantly blessed. All of you—Virajbhag, Sant, Karna, Karmayogi—are blessed. I had the opportunity to remain at Svāmījī’s feet for nearly twenty years in this āśrama. This āśrama is not just for Indians, nor just for foreigners, but for the whole world. Through the tireless efforts of Swamiji Maharaj, I too stand before you all today. In my heart, there is always a desire for how this āśrama should be further managed—some new format, some new contemplation. May the management of the āśrama grow manifold each day, increasing a hundredfold. May thousands and crores of devotees come here for darśana, offer their obeisance at Bāpajī’s feet, and may the fame of this āśrama expand greatly. This is my humble request to you from Bāpajī. Through yoga, how can we bring the world within? How can we bring the world within through yoga? After coming to this āśrama, we realized how, through yoga, one can attain Brahman in relation to our eternal culture and our universal mother, the living mother. After coming to this āśrama, I understood that if you possess this quality, then you indeed possess this quality. Therefore, I want to say that there is nothing greater than guru-bhakti. There is no element in the world greater than this. Just now you presented your prayer before the Guru. In that prayer, you uttered that the Guru is a living being, Īśvara, Māyā, Brahman, and Prabrahman. In the Guru resides Brahman and Prabrahman. In the Hindu traditions and the universal traditions, every single delusion about the world belongs to these types of darśanas and these types of yoga. The university is a part of the world dedicated to creating, to producing peace, happiness, and ease that every being in the world seeks, so that every jīva attains mokṣa and goes to the guru’s feet—je gurave namaḥ. First, I want to say something about the Gītā. "I am seated in the heart of all; from Me come memory, knowledge, and the removal of doubts. The Vedas declare Me as the knower, the creator, and the remover of doubts." Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said in the Bhagavad Gītā: I am in the heart of everyone, and I impart knowledge to you; I am always the one who grants knowledge. So when a person contemplates God or any subject, only the Supreme Personality Gurudev can impart the knowledge of how to speak and how to disappear. So the Bhagavad Gītā speaks: vedaiś ca sarvaiḥ—only I am to be known. What is my position? Yasmāt kṣaraṁ atīto ’ham—so I am beyond the world, beyond the worlds. There is no śabda and no power of speech. Where there is silence, I dwell there, Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said. Then after, sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham. Next, sarvasya hṛdi sanniviṣṭo—I always live in everybody’s heart. Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa told us, our Gurudev, this guru paramparā, our inner deva, is immortal, and immortal things are the same. In these divine positions, Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said in the Bhagavad Gītā that there is a vast amount of knowledge and many spiritual teachings in the Bhagavad Gītā. Then, when many things are yoga nidrā, yoga, yoga karma su kauśalam—the skillfulness in yoga karma is called kauśala. What is kauśala? Kausal is perfectness. When we are to be in perfectness in our work, in our knowledge, then as Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa told us, we should move toward that. Like that, I am not speaking about religions; I am speaking only from beyond religions. We are beyond religions, so I thought religion is a way of living, a method of how to live in the world. So, what can I say about knowledge? Thank you very much.
