Satsanhg on the anniversary of Sri Devpuriji's Mahasamadhi

This gathering commemorates the divine play and eternal presence of a great master. Great souls do not die; they consciously merge with the Supreme Self. Their Mahāsamādhi is a celebration of liberation, not mourning. The master's life was a continuous divine play, performing miracles like reviving a bride, manifesting water in a drought, and restoring life to hunted birds. These acts are not magic but compassionate interventions to awaken faith. The lineage's energy flows powerfully on this night, offering a unique opportunity for deeper meditation and devotion. To receive this, one must surrender fully, let go of the past, and awaken from spiritual sleep. The inner light must be kindled through personal effort, supported by grace.

"Great Mahāpuruṣas, they do not die. They become one with the Supreme Self again."

"Today is the day, the night, where we need to awaken. We are asleep. But it’s time to wake up."

Hari Om and good evening to all of you who are present here and those who are watching through Swamiji TV. Today, on the occasion of Śrī Mahāsamādhi’s Mahāsamādhi Day, we’ve prepared something unique. Till now we liked stories; we like to share stories because it’s easy to understand. But now, with the help of the youngsters, kids, we turned those beautiful stories of Śrī Devpurījī Mahārāj into an act. For me, more than reading, it’s easier to listen. And more than listening, it’s easy to watch. So please enjoy the beautiful performance. It took a few hours of preparation, so I hope you enjoy it. The first story, or the first līlā, of Śrīdharpurījī Mahārāj, of his divine miracles, which we all read in the Līlā Amṛt, will be the one where a marriage ceremony was happening. In India, we have Bharat. The ones who are following the family members are those who are enjoying the wedding ceremony. So the bride and groom will come, and the couples are getting married. Then the bond is completed when the bride and groom put the mālā on each other. But something tragic happens at the wedding. "Are you okay? Are you okay? I think she’s dead. Let’s take her to our Gurudev Śrī Devpurījī." So, while in the beautiful, serene atmosphere of the ashram, Devpurījī Mahārāj was sitting and meditating. The family of the girl who just passed away brought the child to Śrī Devpurījī Mahārāj to gain some hope; they had some hope towards Devpurījī. They believed that Devpurījī would bring her back to life. So now let’s get back to the ashram where Devpurījī is sitting. Devpurījī is sitting with his bhaktas. Meditating. And now the father will come with the daughter. "Please help us, my daughter has died." "She is not dead. She is going to be a mother. Wake up from the meditation, my dear. Thank you so much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much." Our cheerleaders are sometimes a little bit slow, but okay. So this is the first Līlā which Devpurījī performed. The second one was where there was no water in the village, where there was drought, and they needed to gain water because it was dry everywhere. Devpurījī was seated in his beautiful ashram and the villagers came to him. Devpurījī is arriving with his bhaktas slowly. And the villagers slowly come and approach and make praṇām to Devpurījī Mahārāj. "Devpurījī, could you help us? We have no water, we have nothing to drink." "Don’t worry, I will show you where to dig a well." So now Devpurījī is proceeding somewhere. And Devpurījī will now lead. That’s what gurus do. So they lead; they be the example instead of letting others do. "Devpurījī, let us do it. We will dig it ourselves." Water appeared in the wind. And this is the beauty, and this is the miracle which Devpurījī had. That, where there was drought, where there was no water, there he brought water from nowhere. And the third example of the third Līlā, which we would like to share, is one very famous one, which we all know and have heard many times. It is where Śrī Devpurījī brought the dead birds or the dead people back to life. The Leelās, the beautiful miracles which are performed—it’s not a performance. Gurus are not magicians. But sometimes, to help the people, it’s not done as a magic show, but it is done in a way where people see it. So now the hunter is hunting the birds. And the birds are falling down from the sky. And the hunter is after hunting, and he’s collecting it and putting all the birds in his basket. And he’s doing it in the middle of the jungle. And slowly, after collecting all the birds, he’s walking towards his home. His home is somewhere, and Śrī Devpurījī comes on the same path where he was heading home to, and Devpurījī asks, "What do you have in the basket?" "Nothing." "I know there is something in there, show me." "No, there is nothing there, just food for my family. No, there is nothing, just food for my family." And then he tries to escape, but therefore she blesses the basket and all the birds come to life, a snazzy... So that’s the other day for each of which I’m not going to go up. She can’t, she can’t ask you. Oh, yeah, know or let know. God bless you. So once again, while the kids are coming for prasāda, I would like to express my deepest thanks to Swāmī Avatār Purījī. Because I think that in his busy schedule, it is so great that he gives so much time to the children. He spent with us, like, several hours this afternoon and really was going through each part of the story. And I think it is very important that we give attention to the children. Because Vasant was mentioning a few weeks ago that many people are getting old. And if we want to have the younger generation here, the kids have to feel happy here. And I think that’s what they really got today, and the other days they are getting. I had the greatest luck that I could grow up with Viśvagurujī. We were here from the first seminar in 1995. And I remember we were playing football with Viśvagurujī, and we had a lot of fun together. And you know, for the kids, they still probably don’t get everything from the satsaṅg. For them, it’s a long time sitting in silence. But I think these moments are the things that really get them to be here and to enjoy. And a few years ago, I was crying here that I wish the same for my son as what I had. And I feel he’s getting it thanks to Avatar Purījī. So thank you, Avatār Purījī. How was it? Today was one of those days where I could remove my seriousness and jump back to my childhood. And it was nice to, how do you call it, direct a movie. So, all the ideas which I had in my childhood, I implemented somehow. So it was nice, and the kids are also very patient and very nice. Only we had one naughty kid, Bhakti Gānanda, otherwise everything was okay. So, great souls, great Maharṣis, great divine ātmās like Śrī Devapurījī Mahārāj—it’s not that they die. Because sometimes it’s funny for people to hear when we say we are celebrating their Mahāsamādhi or their death anniversary. But great Mahāpuruṣas, great souls, great Mahātmās, great sādhus, yogīs—they do not die. They become one with the Supreme Self again. As Mahāmudra Śrī Fulpurjī was mentioning yesterday or the day before yesterday, that the great gurus from our lineage, they incarnate to help their bhaktas, our soul. And they are the ones who actually come to this earth to help us achieve our ultimate goal of self-realization or of liberation. And great Mahāpuruṣas, they don’t die, they take Mahāsamādhi. Us normal humans, one day we don’t wake up. But great yogīs, great gurus, they can choose when they want to go. Like yesterday we were sharing, or day before yesterday, I don’t know when I was sharing, how Śrī Devapurījī Mahārāj went into Mahāsamādhi. Already in the evening, one night before, he announced that he would be leaving his physical body the next morning. And the next morning, after his showering and getting ready, he sat in his posture and he left. Mahā means great, and samādhi means being in that state where we are out. When we go into samādhi, then you can go out and come back. When you go into mahāsamādhi, then you are... so the day when Śrī Devapurījī Mahārāj was again united with the Supreme Self. That day is not for mourning but for celebration for what he has done throughout his life. How many bhaktas he liberated, how many devotees he brought back to life—all his life is remembered in this beautiful night. On this night, if we meditate, we will go deeper. If we sing bhajans, we will feel the bhakti even more than on normal days. If we sit in bhajans and enjoy the bhajans or the satsaṅgs, then you will feel that knowledge going much more than normal. So today is the day, the night, where we need to awaken. We are asleep. But it’s time to wake up. We have slept enough. How many lives were we sleeping? This life is not for sleeping anymore. We have Gurudev’s blessings and kṛpā, and with that we open up, we awaken, we open the closed doors which we have shut inside of us. Until that feeling, that bhāva, is not within us, our doors will be shut. But today, if we let go of all our complexes, of everything, and surrender fully, then everything will awaken, everything will open up. But the efforts have to be taken by us; the initiative has to be taken by us. We are getting that push from the back, but the legs have to move. And that is our job. So on this beautiful night, let us all be present. Let us all invoke the paramparā Devpurījī, Svāmījī, inside of us. Let us feel them inside of us, and let us put more ghee in our lamp, which is lit by them inside of us. Let us glow, let us shine like never before. May Gurudev’s blessings be always with us. May He protect us, guide us, and show us the right path. And may we open. Remove all problems, remove everything, and everything will be okay. So, today, every bhajan is full of energy, every kīrtan is full of energy, every word coming out of Phulpurījī’s mouth, every word which is happening in the satsaṅg—feel it, experience it, live it. How will you go home tomorrow? How will you stay here? When will you go to sleep? When will the child come? When will what come? Forget that. What you did, what you didn’t do in the morning, in the afternoon, yesterday, the past, forget it. Now we are sitting together here in this hall. The energy of Gurudev, the energy of Śrī Devpurījī, of the Paramparā, is flowing through each and every one of our hearts. Let us look within, see it and feel it. Let’s go inside and feel it. And be that Divine Light, and finally, let’s become it. One more bhajan, and then Mahāmaṇḍaleśvar Phūlpurījī Mahārāj will speak. After which, as Fulpurījī was mentioning this morning, Bokeh, Petna, Ovaya, Bhajana, Gopāla. As Fulpurījī was saying in the morning, so empty stomachs without that bhajan is not possible. You all filled up your stomachs. Our stomachs are still empty. So after Fulburījī’s speech, we will go and have dinner. We will make it as quick as possible. In the meantime, the bhajans will continue, and chai will be outside. About that, more details will come from the organizers later. And after that, we have a more beautiful program. But that I will tell you when we come back. Suspense, surprise, you know. Otherwise, you know, I talk, no expectations, and then I say what I will do, and your expectations will come up. Tonight we are burning all the expectations. We are burning all the kāma, krodha, māyā, lobha, ahaṅkāra, nothing. We burn everything in that fire. Become free from all this, and free yourself from all this. Śrī Ālāk Puruṣa Mātā Devakī, Śrī Dev Puruṣa Mātā Devakī, Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavānakī, Hindu Dharma Samrāḍha Mādhavānandī Bhagavānakī, Viśvaguroha Mātā Mūḍaleśvarī Yogirāja Parampitā Parameśvara Parampūjya Satguru Devakī, Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī, Salutation to Alak Puruṣa. My adoration to Viśvagurujī’s holy lotus feet. Respected brother Avatar Purījī, Vishwagurujī’s successor. All yogīs, yetis, sannyāsīs present here in this holy place. And all the divine devotees, yoga and daily life, and the fellowships around the world and presence here. The Living Light Mahāprabhū Deep Satsaṅg Foundation, Strylky, Czech Republic. Many blessings to all of you from Alakpurī Siddhāpīṭ Paramparā, and as well from Viśvagurujī. As well, you all know, since three weeks or four weeks we are here in the Divine Place, where we are now. We call in Hindi, "Yathā Nāma Tathā Guṇāha," as the name, so the energy, and as their beauty. Living light. The living light. Living is always life, is prāṇa. Light, you know, sparkling each and every place where the light displays, it is sparkling. Mahāprabhujī deep, Mahā, you know, this great deep is himself light. Satsang Foundation. Satsang is, we are here always doing satsang. It means the truth. We are getting the truth and reality, knowledge for our ātmā and our soul. For his ātmā, for his soul, what is called satsaṅg. Satsaṅg means truth. Satsaṅg means the group or the union. And when we explain it, Sat is truth and Saṅg is such a gathering or unification of the group. There are two parts. One is satsaṅg, and one is kusaṅg, and there are two ways. One is Satsaṅg and the other is Kusaṅg. Satsaṅg. So, Vishwagurujī established this ashram, named Satsaṅg Foundation. Foundation, you know, where this is established, the first stone. So we are all the blessed ones, the luckiest ones, and Vishwagurujī’s blessing is that he sent Swami Avatar Purījī, myself, to be with you in satsaṅg union. So we are here today to preach, to learn, to listen, to read the spiritual scripture and knowledge, which is our paramparā, which is given to us in front of us. Like, for example, the thali, they are full of delicious food, they are given in front of you, and now you need to eat. This delicious food will give us physical health and nourishment. Similarly, there are our bhajans, our mantras, our Guru’s glories, and all that Gurudev gave to us in many, many books written there for us, for our mind’s purpose. And this is for us, for peace, harmony, and happiness, inner joy, not only outer joy. And it is for our peace, harmony, and inner joy, not only the outer joy. When inner joy comes, the outer joy will automatically come. That is one mantra; it is called mantra. Mantra means man; man means mind. And tar means to float on the, like a boat is going on the river or on the ocean. Mantra ho jāye, vohī mantra hai. Mantar ho jaye. When we get certification, what calls? Satisfaction. Then our boat goes on the river. Similarly, this also we call similarly. In the scripture, there are two worlds, two oceans, Bhavasāgara. One is water, and this is without water. That is water, ocean. We can swim inside, or we can go by boat inside, or, etc., different, different navigation technologies, ways. But how to swim without an ocean? These are scriptures, bhajans, mantras, anusṭhāna. They are leading us. And that thanks goes, credit goes to our paramparā ṛṣis that give us the nectar. Similarly, today is a divine day for us, as we are remembering our beloved, beloved Bhagavān Śrī Devpurījī Mahārāj. Thank you very much, dear Avatār Purījī, for giving us such a wonderful performance to see. That’s the real way Devpurījī’s miracles happened at that time. I remember that in Holy Gurujī’s time, when he was last time, his last time, he wished to make Mahāprabhujī’s glory, so Leela Amrit’s film. That day, I remember today and remind dear Tharapurījī that the same thing Holī Gurujī was thinking, and he wanted to have Mahāprabhujī’s whole Līlā Amṛta in the film, like the Rāmāyaṇa. But now, the plus point, that now Mahāprabhujī’s Līlā Amṛt and now Devpurījī’s glory also should be added there. So, with the Avatar Purījī’s glimpse or his ideas, if you all support this, will glory come for us, like nectar for us all? It’s like Raman cereal. Jako snímek Śivapurāṇa serial. In India, there are many, many ṛṣis: Pramukh Swami, Narayana Swami. There are many great ṛṣis also in India, and they have such glory. They make such films so that they are inspiring to people, easy to remember, and easy to learn. This is all they receive, glories. So it is our duty to take this boat further for other people. Sadguru Namajajhe, this is boat one boat. We are sitting in the boat with adoration, with the faith. Where the faith, where the adoration towards the God, there is God appear. Báv, the faith, the adoration, that is the value. Vastu me nehy, vastu means the items, like gold. Now it may be five lakh, and after ten days it can grow to ten lakhs. The bhāva, the price is grown; the item didn’t grow, it is as it is. This is Mahāprabhujī and Holī Gurujī’s words. And these are the words of Mahāprabhujī and Holī Guru. This is Kabīr Dāchī’s bhajan. So, Devpurījī is glory, Devpurījī is blessing, Devpurījī is miracles. In Tulsīdās and the Rāmāyaṇa. Hari Ananta, Hari Katha Ananta, Kahi Sunaye Bahuvidhi Sabhsanta. Hari means God’s glory. God is endless, God’s names are endless. Hari Kathāyananta. The glory is endless. Indescribable. Day and night you can describe or drink this nectar. You will enjoy. Nepopsatelná. kaha hī, kaha hī, sunahī, bahu vidhi, sabh santa. Kaha hī means preaching, sunahī means listening, bahu vidhi, different, different way. Bahu śānta means saints, glory, devotees, bhaktas, yogīs, saints, sannyāsīs, all those who are day and night waiting for God’s name and God’s nectar, name and God’s glories. So Devpurījī’s glory is endless, I remember one glory more there, no? Miracle, glory, and miracle. In near Kathu somewhere, they called one disciple Lakshmi Narayan; he was a priest, I think, and he did not have a son. He was praying in different places, and he went to different saints, and one day he noticed that Devpurījī is here somewhere around. Devpurījī was sitting under one tree, it’s called Khejrī. Khejri, you know, they were getting some fruits or for sabzī, that’s Saṅgrī. And Devpurījī was sitting under the tree. He, his wife and husband, both went there, reached there. They make praṇām, and they are asking Gurudeva, "Our house has no light there." We, God, know that you can bless and give light in our house. Devpurījī said, "Devpurījī said," he was thinking first. And he told that there is my jolī. Jolī means some kind of bag, comparing our bag, it’s called jolī. We’re keeping jolī, like this, some kind like this. There are some laddus; take as much as you can. So he put his hand inside, and he got four laddus. And he saw that Gurujī, I got it. And Devpurījī said, "Okay, take it, you are home." With cosmic light, your wish will be fulfilled. After nine or ten months, Devpurījī went there for bhikṣā. After nine or ten months, Devpurījī went to Dikshu, and in their house, the children were playing. And they were very glad that Devpurījī, you blessed us, you gave light to my house, you gave the prāṇa to us. And they said to him, "Devpurījī, you have blessed us, and you have given us prāṇa. You have given life to our home, to our life. Please, Devpurījī, from time to time, come and bless us." And Devpurījī told them, "This is light for your house. It came with cosmic light." But Devpurījī is always going here and there; he never stayed in one place. After many years passed, and the disciple was searching, "Where is Devpurījī?" they did not find Devpurījī, but they reached Mahāprabhujī’s place, and they told this story. And that message got to Holy Gurujī also, and Holy Gurujī wrote in the Amrit, "There are disciples living in Patna. There are some disciples living in Patna, you know, so far from Rajasthan, some people living." Near Kathu, some people living near our Pali district, where our ashram is, their family, the family is always telling us this story. This is Devpurījī’s blessing. Essa bhola Sambhu. This is Devpurījī’s great bhajan. Aisa bholā sambhu dekya sadhu tapadāri, tapadāriyo leri dhune dhari. Esa bholā śivjī de kya sadhu tapadāri. Dhīna-loka-ke nātani-rañjan mahī-mahe, āgama-pāriye sādhu, bhūlā śīvijī kā sādhu, tāpā sādhu. Sikara para kudara dhanyali Adarsun sadhu tappa Sabha shiviji kya sadhu tappa Dhunsa bhola shiviji te kya sadhu tappa dhari. Dhyāna man dhari seje samādhi sari. Dhyāna dhyāna man dhari, seja samādhi sari. Kalyāṅ pasiro maṇi, Kalyāṅ sarūpa pasiro maṇi. Har ke kube re bhaṇḍa bholā Śivajī, dehy kyā sādhu tappa darśa... Deva Śrī Devapurī, Sītāpurī, Sā Nirākāryavatā, Nirākhyā Sādhu Tappā, Aisa Bholā Śivajī Dekhyā Sadur Tapadah. Śrī Ālāpuruṣa Mātā Devakī: So, this beautiful glory from Mātā Prabhujī, the heart’s divine flowers or nectars, flow out and return down in bhajans. The beautiful, the divine heart opens, blossoms, and then the aroma comes out. devotion towards the Guru or God, oddanost ke Guruovi nebo k Bohu. It means that Mahāprabhujī describes this glory of the Mahādev Purījī, how he looks. Actually, Mahāprabhujī there describes the greatness of Devpurījī, how he looked. Yesa bhola sambhu dekhyā sādhu tapadhārī. Sādhu means yogī or saint. Tapadhārī means the one who is doing tapasyā. Jata mukta me Gaṅgā virājye. Jata mukta, jata means he is jata, hair, you know. Gaṅgā biraje, Gaṅgā is there, residing there, Gaṅgā. Har har śabda uccāri, kal kal... kal. Ganga is when the Ganga flows, Ganga is water coming, sound natural, no? How the water you hear, the Ganga or some, especially Ganga water flowing from the Himalaya, the sound is coming, that sound is har har... śabda uccāri. Har means hurry, hurry, hurry. Ho Viṣṇu, Ho Viṣṇu,... Ho, Viṣṇu is singing, and she is flowing further, Gaṅgī. Mahādev, Śrī Dev, Purīṣa, Nirākāra Avatāra, this is the last point, the last line. Even Mahāprabhujī came in form, but I don’t know where Mahāprabhujī came from, this earth, we don’t have a date. Do any of you know when Mahāprabhujī’s incarnation date is? This is Mahāprabhujī, Devpurījī, sorry. Pardon, Devpurījī, I thought Devpurījī. Devpurījī’s incarnation day. We don’t have a date. So Mahāprabhujī wrote Nirakāra, Mahādev Śrī Devpurījī, Mahādev Śiva. Devpurījī, his name came after, like when he came on this earth. Nirakāra, formless. Avatāra means the one who came on this earth, incarnation. Swāmī Dīp means Mahāprabhujī. Swami Deep Sarana Baldehari. Swami Deep means Mahāprabhujī. Mahāprabhujī is saying, "I bow down, Deep Gurujī, Gurū Dev, on your holy lotus feet." So this is the beautiful glory of Mahāprabhujī. You will read, and you will get a translation more vivid enough for further time for satsaṅg. Now it is only nine o’clock, so I hope that everyone who is here today, everyone who is singing or wishes to sing, enjoys this great atmosphere and sings and learns the beautiful glory of Mahāprabhujī. This nectar will go within us, and we will. Enjoy, enjoy. I hope that you all will enjoy the bhajans here, that you will sing them, and that you will live them from the inside, and you will get the nectar. Om Namah Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyaṇam. Om Namah Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Hama Sabhā Dāsa Prabhu Caraṇa Parāyaṇam. Hama Sabhā Dāsa Prabhu Caraṇa Parāyaṇam O Śrī Prabhūdīpa Nārāyaṇam... Shrī Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī Jai. We are praying to Mā Prabhujī. Thank you, Mā Prabhujī. You gave blessings to Holy Gurujī, to Viśvagurujī, and as well to us all. And we go down to your Holy Lotus Feet and thank you, Mā Prabhujī. That you also gave blessings so we can worship Devpurījī. And pray for Viśvagurūjī’s good health through the Aum. Please take a deep inhale and think to pray to Mahāprabhujī, Devapurījī, Alāpurījī, all cosmic light, and holy sand for Vishwagurujī’s good health. Mentally feel and pray for Viśvagurujī. Deep inhale. Deep inhale.
