Women can bring peace

10:05 - 10:54|Recorded on 18 Aug 2016
The four yogic paths are interdependent, each requiring the others for fulfillment. Karma Yoga needs the knowledge of Jñāna, the devotion of Bhakti, and the discipline of Rāja. Bhakti Yoga requires the action of Karma, the understanding of Jñāna, and the structure of Rāja. These paths are united like the elements in a body. True discipline, or Rāja Yoga, means following the Guru's word without deviation. In this age, many seek blessings without discipline, believing a mantra is sufficient. This is a mistake. To attain self-realization, one must obey the Master's instructions completely. A story illustrates this: a disciple ignored his guru's specific warning and, by claiming ownership of a thief's shoes, was condemned to hang. The guru's word is paramount; its value is often understood only in hindsight. Holy scriptures constitute this essential guidance. "Karma Yoga needs Bhakti Yoga. Karma Yoga needs Jñāna Yoga. And Karma Yoga also needs Rāja Yoga." "If you truly wish to achieve ātmā jñāna, self-realization, liberation, immortality, divinity, and saintliness, then you must follow what the Master says." Around the world - Inauguration Nandeshwar

11:00 - 11:05 | From: 6 Jul 2022
Yoga progresses from physical practice to the realization of the supreme Self. The foundation is Āsana, the physical posture. Remaining only there is mere exercise. One must proceed to Prāṇāyāma to steady the mind, then Pratyāhāra to withdraw the senses. This leads to Dhāraṇā, concentration, and then unbroken Dhyāna, meditation. Yet meditation retains duality. Samādhi dissolves this, unifying knower, knowing, and known into Turīya, the fourth state. The ultimate goal is beyond even this: Turīyātīta, the transcendent Conscious Principle, the Self of absolute Existence, Consciousness, and Bliss. All practices are a boat to cross the river; upon reaching the far shore, the boat is left behind. "All practices—Āsana, Prāṇāyāma, Dhyāna—are merely the boat to cross the river." "This is not a state to be attained; it is our very essence, the Chetan Puruṣa, the Conscious Principle."

Around the world - International Seminar on Indian Culture (1/2)

11:10 - 12:31 | From: 23 Dec 2022
Yoga is the essential practice for peace, requiring direct experience over theory. Indian culture and values provide the foundation for a harmonious life, yet modern focus drifts toward material Western influences. True education balances material knowledge with spiritual wisdom, as both are necessary for the complete human being. Cultural roots must never be forgotten, for they sustain identity and purpose. The global presence of Sanātana principles reveals a shared heritage, fostering universal peace. Personal transformation through practice and traditional saṃskāras cultivates inner discipline and societal harmony. "Tons of theory are nothing compared to a gram of practice. Until we practice yoga, there is no yoga." "Our roots are here, so we should stick to that. No matter how high you have reached, you should never forget your roots." Filming location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Ask for the eternal love

12:35 - 13:10 | From: 6 Aug 2017
The Ātmā is immortal, and the Jīvātmā, the individual soul, shares that immortality but is bound by karma in the cycle of saṃsāra. Our duty is to act with awareness. Every action has a form, and the intellect judges it, but the final choice is ours. True awareness awakens viveka, or discernment, which provides clarity but does not command. We must act rightly, understanding we have no right to judge others, for all actions bring consequences. Life is not easy; we are on a boat in an ocean, seeking the shore, which is the Satguru. The Guru is Parabrahma, beyond all. Do not ask the Guru for worldly things like a job or partner; this is ignorance. Ask only for bhakti, for divine love to fill your heart. This prema is oneness. A true devotee, obedient and without worry, is cared for by the Guru, who provides everything. "After giving the judgment of the intellect, then your awareness awakens. That is very important." "Prem kā pyālā, oh Lord, oh my God, oh my Gurudev Mahāprabhujī, can you fill it, my part of my heart, full of that devotion?" Filming location: Vép, Hungary

In the home of the soul

13:15 - 14:18 | From: 5 Jul 2003
Space builds beings, and beings build space. A true ashram is a space for retreat and contemplation, enabling renewal of physical, mental, and social health. It fosters balance and leads toward self-realization. Yoga is the paramount method for this, requiring only the body, breath, and consciousness. It is the science of conscious movement and stillness, a road to original wholeness. A Guru is one who has cognized oneness, from which all arises and returns. Such beings live for others. The relationship between guru and disciple is supreme, pure, and meaningful. The guru's essence is what he is—Sat Chit Ānanda—and he serves to cure the disease of ignorance, which divides us from ourselves, others, and the divine. Sādhanā, the practice of yoga, is the source of strength to help others and ourselves. Liberation comes through knowledge and the Guru's grace. "Yoga is the science and art of conscious movement. It is the science and art of conscious stillness." "The essence of a guru is not what he says, not even what he does. The essence of a guru is what he is." Filming locations: Jadan Ashram, Rajasthan, India. DVD 171

A Journey of Remembrance and Reverence

15:15 - 15:22 | From 10 Jan 2026
I recently traveled to pay respects at the samādhi of a revered female ascetic. She was the first female Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara in our tradition, renowned for memorizing sacred texts from a very young age and receiving a title for it. She had a large spiritual family of disciples managing various ashrams. We shared a good connection from past meetings at gatherings and when she visited our Guru. Upon learning of her passing, I journeyed through the night to attend the funeral procession in Ahmedabad, which culminated in her burial at a chosen site outside the city alongside other senior ascetics. It was a full 24-hour journey of remembrance. "She was the first female Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara in our Akhāṛā." "Her wish was to have her samādhi in Hargośālā." Filming location: Jadan, Rajasthan, India

Organic farming in Netherlands

From 3 Aug 2023
A farm's journey from industrial production to living in harmony with nature. The operation shifted from unprofitable mass cultivation to a diverse, organic system. This includes greenhouses using rainwater and biological pest controls. A large food forest integrates vegetables, fruit trees, and nitrogen-fixing plants. The focus is on sustainability, natural cycles, and creating a resilient ecosystem. The work is driven by passion and a good feeling, valued more than financial return alone. The aim is to grow healthy food while enhancing the land for the future. "Nature can do a lot. So, if a plant is sick, then it can make itself better." "It is much more important than money: a good feeling, nice to be busy with your passion." Filming location: Netherlands
